Chapter 12

"Was that the handsome? who I think was," Rohan asked a shocked Roli who watched the retreated figure of Siddhant. 

" Roli! are you listening ?" 

"ye-yes,"  she stammered.

"no, you're not." Rohan accused. " you were busy on ogling your so called lover,"

"ROHAN! What the hell are you  talking about the ogling lover?" 

"oh! please , like you don't know that man." He snickered while pointing at the door where Siddhant left.  

"really? you just used the adjectives because I just watched him storming out." 

"Yeah. Because you were ogling him"

"Shut up Rohan!"

"Why would I though?" 

The bickering continued and after some arguments both left the cafe. Roli thought of Siddhant on the way to home. She  shudder at the thought of his angry and red puffy eyes. His flared nose and the clenched jaw.  

Siddhant stormed inside his office. He slammed his office door making his employees flinched.  

How could she? 

He punch the wall with anger. He tried everything he could to woo her and what she did? NOTHING. She even didn't saw how hurt he was. 

No. Not any more. 

He wouldn't give a damn about that girl. She had hurt him more than enough. He will not allow her to hurt him more. He couldn't stand of breaking of his heart by her. NOT ANYMORE. He  decided wiping a tear from his eyes. He didn't noticed of it.  All because of her. HER!HER! only HER. 

" Sir, Roli mam is here."  The receptionist called on the intercom. 

" send her in," his reply was hard and cold. Roli was sure of his ignorance. 

She decided to meet him before going home on the way. Her heart couldn't take the hurt reflected on his angry eyes earlier on the cafe. 

She slowly approach his office  door. Her heart hammer  inside her chest. She know he would erupt like  a volcano . But she was shocked looking at his calm and cool gestures. 

He was standing at his desk with a smile lingering on his handsome  face a girl would  die for. 

"welcome Roli. How was your date?" he asked with his million dollar smile . 

"Da-Date?" Roli frowned . 

what is he talking about ? date? what date? 

"yes Miss Diwedi. Date on the cafe with your fiance, " he gritted. 

"oh! yes. That was-"  Roli got interrupted by his cold tone. 

"I don't need your date story. If you are here to work then that's your desk," he pointed to her desk with desktop and various files .

"And if you aren't here for your work then the door is behind you." he crossed arms and turned his back on her.

Roli sighed. It would be better to talk later. She thought and went to her desk for the pending works to complete . She kept her busy on the work. The time passed soon with getting a call from Rohan for lunch together. She couldn't deny her best friend. With a much convinced from him she agreed. How would she asked Siddhant to allow her to go out of the office.

"Are you done?" His voice jerked her out of her thoughts. She nods. 

"OK, shall we go then?" He asked making her confused. She frown. 

"Where?" 

"For lunch." 

Oh my god. She exclaimed. What would she do now? Rohan had already asked her and she said yes. Now what is she going to tell this angry young man. 

"Uh-  actually we had plans? " it came out more as a question. 

"We? We- as in?" He bitterly asked knowing whom she has plans with. But he didn't want to accept. 

"Uh- me and Rohan" she replied with a fake smile. 

He hold his fist more tightly. The jealousy could trigger some inhumanity inside him. He doesn't want to show it to her. Without any reply he stormed past her inside his office. She sighed and left the office for her lunch with Rohan. 

Rohan was waiting for her. He has already ordered the dishes she prefer during lunch hour. She smiled when she saw him waiting with a frown. 

"Well, am I late?" She asked taking her seat with a smile.

"Of course you're" he scoffed. "You're 30 minutes late,"

"I know Rohan, but I had lots of pending works"

"Okay, should we drop your excuses and start? Because I am hungry." He said digging on his food as if he hasn't eaten from months.

Roli smiled and start eating her favorite Indian food  veg kadhai . He always make sure to bring a smile on her face.  If Siddhant is now her life then She cannot imagine her life with Rohan. She depends on both. She hope she never had to choose between them because she can't.

" I don't know what would I have done with out you?" 

Rohan smiled. 

"Oh,yes. Bawling your eyes out, or hiding inside your blanket or could be on the long drive on your bike" he winked.

"Well I would prefer the later," Roli said.

"Well, not surprised," 

A voice interrupt their conversation. Both of their head snapped towards the voice. Roli was shocked whereas Rohan was amused seeing Siddhant all possessive and angry. If he wouldn't have been a man then he wouldn't have known about Siddhant's feeling. 

Siddhant wasn't an easy man to convince. What Rohan had heard about him. He was damn sure that Roli would be safe with him.

"Oh, hey man, I am Rohan" 

He said extending his hand to Siddhant as a first meeting gesture. Siddhant frown and shake his hand. He was decent. Rohan confirmed. 

"I am Siddhant. Siddhant Bhardwaj"

"Nice to meet you" 

"Hope I would have said the same," Siddhant muttered to himself.

"Sorry? Did you say something?" Rohan asked. Siddhant shook his head and smiled. 

"Well but I heard you. And don't worry I didn't mind." Rohan whispered . Siddhant let out a throaty laugh. And just like that both became as childhood best friends leave a Shocked and surprised Roli standing with big eyes and jaw open.
