Chapter 11

He left the hall, anger pulsing through his veins. He knows he had to get out everyone's way before he erupted in my furious state. He knew that this feeling will pass, but while it hasn't, he was well aware he could really hurt people. So he escaped. He ran. He may collapse with the hurt he felt. He didn't want everyone at the function to see his weakness. He was a strong man. He couldn't be hurt for a woman who he thought would be his. She was his. She couldn't be in another man's arm in front him. He couldn't tolerate the envy he would feel inside him holder his woman for the man. He wanted his woman at any cost. And he would surely get her, no matter what. He was not a person to lose and this time he wasn't going to lose his love.

LOVE that was he felt for her. He realized. It was not any crush or infatuation but love he felt for that 20 year old woman. He wasn't going to lose her. He saw the other man held her in his arms. He saw his eyes spiked with happiness. He saw the emotions on his face as if he had got everything he wanted in his life. He also knew that he was the wrong person for the woman to be held in his arms and he was going to get her.

"No! You don't understand. I can't marry him." Roli shouted at her father for the 40th time after storming out of the stage. He had every right to take decisions for her as his father. But it was her life. She wanted to accomplish her own life. No one to interfere, and she definitely knew whom she wanted in her life and that was not Rohan.

"What do you mean by you can't marry him? Don't you love him?" his father enquired. He had seen both of them smile each other. Both had mutual understanding. Always seems happy with each other.

"Papa, I love him. I really do. But not the way what you think," she sighed. "I love him only as a best friend."

"Then why didn't you told me it before?" her father asked with guilt surfing through him. He should have asked his daughter about her life without judging the relations of the best friends as lovers.

"Papa, you never asked me about anything before" she scoffed.

Her father nodded. He went to her and kissed her forehead lovingly. He would never go against his daughter's decision. He was a man who prides himself of his daughters. They never fail to amaze him. He and his wife raised them well. He could trust them with closed eyes. And for a fact he knew if she didn't' love Rohan then there's someone else who had already captured his daughter's heart.

"I will send Rohan. So that you could talk," her father whispered.

"Papa, there's no need. We had already spoken about it," she replied holding her father's hand on her. Her father frowned and she nodded with a little giggle. She then told the talk she had with Rohan before the party.

"So, you are telling that you love him?" he asked scratching his imaginary beard on his chin. She and Rohan had been spending a little time with each other before the party. Their friendship was beyond worldwide and both could never hide anything from each other. They could something is wrong when they looked in each other's eyes. He was the one to ask her first.

"Yes" she sighed. He was continuously nagging her to tell she was hiding from him. And he always managed to make her tell him everything.

"And it's a one sided?"

"I guess?" she frowned making the answer more of question.

"Damn you girl. What to do you mean by guess? Don't you know what he feels about you?" he snapped.

"Now don't curse. That's a very bad word you used Mr. Foreign return." She shrank her nose in disgust. Her friend had already been changed into a British.

"Okay. Sorry. But do tell me everything first,"

She narrated everything in details only leaving the part where he kissed her and she felt like being used. After that Rohan told her he would help her to day in the party to make her love jealous and she decided what could be the best from this amazing idea by her amazing friend.

She smiled remembering the talks both had. One thing she knew, her best friend would support her.

Rohan did love her. But he knew he couldn't get her. Once Roli decided she made it her life to fulfill her decisions. He knew her more than anyone else. And for a fact he also knew that Siddhant would keep her happy. From what he noticed from the story Roli narrated, he was sure Siddhant was in love with her. He could see the smile when she thought of Siddhant and the smile that broke on her face could guarantee that she was deeply in love with him. The happiness that flickers on his eyes after mentioning his name, anybody could see the love she had for him. Rohan thought if he couldn't be her lover than he would definitely not lose the friendship he had with her. He would surely make that man of her jealous with the tactics he had thought to use. He smirked. It would be fun to watch his best friend's lover in jealous.

"Common, Roli," Rohan whined. He wanted to take her to the cafe where they would always spend the best friends' forever time together. But Roli was stubborn to go anywhere with him. Last night tactics he used made her father believe something and if she would go with him her father wouldn't hesitate to ask her.

"Rohan, stop whining. I am not going," she replied.

"Please. After all you owe me one"

"I owe you nothing, you stupid. Because of you, he just left the party last night," she snapped.

"Whoa! No need to snap. I just want you to enjoy our day with me. Like we always do," he said. His hands were up in the air in surrender. He sat up from the couch to leave when Roli stopped him.

"Rohan,"

She went to him and hugged him. His arms came around her waist and grip it. He knew her so well. He was only thinking of her and she was stubborn to see it.

"I will go with you," she whispered. He smiled at caress her hair lovingly. He would do anything for her.

The tiny caf huddled despondent among the city building. Outside hundreds of people rushed by on the crowded streets. Some entered the caf and some were inside already. The cafe was calm when they entered. They take a window side table and sat. the lady waiter came and asked for their order.

"Hello, I am Kristy. What would you like?" She batted her lashes looking at Rohan and smiled. He smiled back.

"We would like two cup of cappuccino," Roli snapped. Kristy glared at her and she glared back. Kristy walked back with the orders swaying her back much to Roli's displeasure. Rohan laughed loud and Roli hit him.

"That was hilarious Roli," he laughed holding his stomach.

"Shut up, you moron. You knew she was flirting and you smiled back at her. You know that I am the girl who is going to choose your better half. Not you," she threatened pointing a finger at him.

Suddenly he stopped laughing looking at the entrance of the caf. He muttered coherent word under his breath. Roli frowned and looked back to find an angry, murderous and cold eyes of Siddhant.
