Chapter 25

As doctor came out I rushed toward her. She informed me that Taani is better now and is sleeping due to medicines. But her face was showing more than what she said. She called me in her cabin after looking taani and then she left.

I entered inside the cabin and saw Taani's doctor Mrs.Dixit sitting there on her chair.She gestured me to take a seat too.

Taani's reports were in her hands.

Naina:"Hello Mr.Singhania"

She greeted me but I was not in a mood to talk about any other thing but my wife.

Rey:"How is she now,Mrs.Dixit?"

I asked coming straight to the point. The way she held her breath and opened the file I got more tensed.

Naina:"I have one good and one bad news for you"

She said in her serious tone and I was more tensed.

Naina:"Good news,Your wife is carrying twins"

She said and my senses were numb for few seconds and when I registered her words in my mind a smile broke onto my lips.

Naina:"And bad news, Her body is too weak to carry both fetus and she is Anemic too"

She said and my smile disappeared. I looked at her expectantly.

Naina:"Mr.Singhania your wife is suffering from Iron deficiency Anemia. It is very common in pregnant women. But the problem is that she is too weak already and on top of that she is carrying twin fetus. Her body is not enough to provide blood and nutrients to both fetus and her own body also needs energy"

She said and I felt like someone hit me right on my face.

Rey:"Isn't there any way out?"

I said hoping for positive answer.

Naina:" Obviously there is. I am just asking you to take more precautions. She is already so weak and I don't want to you to take any more risks with her life. We'll look for few months and if situation goes out of control then only I'll suggest Abortion. Trust me ,it is the last thing we suggests our patients."

She said trying to explain me patiently. I flinched as she said the A word. I couldn't even think of something like this but Taani's health comes first for me.But I'll not think about it now.As doctor said situation can get in control even now.I'll just take proper care of her.

Then doctor explained me everything about Taani's health,precautions,etc.

I entered inside her ward and saw her lyeing on bed.She was sleeping due to medicines.My Mom and Sharon beside her.

Sudha:"Doctor ne kya kaha,Reyaansh?How is she now?"

My Mom asked and I couldn't control myself anymore. I hugged her and kept my head on her shoulder shedding silent tears.

Sharon:"What happened, Rey? You are scaring us"

Sharon said and I tried to control myself. I never used to show my weakness to anyone but today I am shedding tears in front of everyone.

What has this girl turned me into?

I explained everything to My Mom and Sharon. They both were happy about our Twins but Taani's health problems broke them too.

Atlast I asked them to help me in taking care of Taani.

We decided not to reveal anything in front of Taani for now.

I kept looking at her as she was sleeping peacefully.Her face pale and colorless.

I wanted to hit myself for her this condition.She was suffering infront of me and I was clueless to everything.

Her fatigue, over-sleeping habit, poor apetite, breathlessness everything was sign of her Anemia and I didn't gave these much attention.

And today just because of me she is suffering.
