Chapter 10: Intoxicated

Rey was running on treadmill and last nights n mornings fresh thoughts were haunting him.Since beginning he was aware that this girl is capable of making him go crazy over her.The first time he saw her at her home dressed in a beautiful white churidaar.He always had control over his feelings but this control is long lost since one certain girl entered his life,Taani Shekhawat or more accurate to be said Mrs.Taani Reyaansh Singhania.

This girl is evoking different kind of feelings in his stone heart,and truly he is not liking this change in his life.If he would have known this before then he'd haven't offered that deal to her.He was so sure that he'll discard her out of his life after six months of contract easily.But now seems like these six months are gonna be hell difficult for him.

But he can't accept defeat.For heavens sake ,he is Reyaansh Singhania and he can never ever lose.

With winning determination Rey moved towards his room while wiping the sweat beads adoring his forhead.

He entered in his room and noticed that his contract wife is not present there.Everything was settled in his room but still nothing was like before.

His bed,Its not like before coz he could see image of Taani cladded in that oh-so breathtaking red gown and settling bed like last night.

Image of him sleeping in her embrace like morning.Her innocent face,black long hair,her pink plump lips.

Rey brushed those thoughts away and moved inside.

He decided to take bath first.He moved towards move-in-closet to pick out his office clothes.He turned the door nob and opened the door and entered inside,but the inside scenario shocked him to d core.

After bath Taani moved out in a white bathrobe.She moved inside move-in-closet to pick out some dress for herself.She looked around all clothes,She liked all churidaars and dresses but still she remember her mothers old thoughts that girl should wear only sarees at her Sasuraal.Though her MIL is very modern but still Taani values her mothers words and decided to wear a saree only.

She picked out a red saree with golden blouse.She hurriedly wore her underskirt and blouse and then started drapping the saree around her.She didn't wanted to get late for morning pooja and giving a bad impression to her mother-in-law.

She was busy in draping the saree but opening of door caught her attension.There her handsome husband is standing wearing his track pants only.His hair messed up with sweat and his naked muscular chest is shinning with sweat beads And shock evident on his face.

Taani hurriedly propled her saree on her front and turned around to hide herself from eyes of her husband.Rey also felt embarrassed that he was stairing her for so long.He turned around and left without even speaking a word.

Taani after draping her saree and doing light make up stepped out from her room.Her slender wrists were adored with pair of red bangles and gold kangans,golden earings in her ears and only her mangsalsutra in her neck.She was a perfect new Bahu of Singhania's.

She took blessings of Sudha and greeted Sharon with a friendly hug and Swayam with just a simple namaste and smile .

After that Rey also stepped down and Taani started morning aarti.She distributed the offerings and after that she was about to enter in kitchen with Sudha when Rey stopped her.

Rey:"Taani come upstairs for a minute.I've to discuss something with you"

Rey ordered and left from there.Taani ignored the teasing looks of Sudha and Sharon n move upstairs.She was scared with the look which Rey gave her. Since he stepped out from room for morning aarti he was giving her deadly glares.

She entered inside and the second she stepped her foot in primises of her room a hand grabbed her wrist and pulled her inwards.Rey closed the door and pulled her inside move-in closet.

Taani:"Leave me. What happened? Why are you dragging me inside?"

In reply Rey just pressed her wrist more and slammed her to the cupboard,literally.

Rey:"Who the hell gave you permission to touch my cupboard?"

He roared angrily on her face and she was shocked with intensity of his growls. Tears welled up in her eyes. Till now no one ever raised their voice on her leave shouting then. She was so scared and shocked with his anger and the more painful thing is that she doesn't even know her mistake.

Rey:" I am warning you,Stay in your limits. I don't want you anywhere near my things."

He pushed her angrily aside and then pulled out all her clothes from his cupboard and threw them on floor.

Taani:" But I didn't arranged them here. It was Mom who..."

Her words hung up in air when he turned around and gave her a deathly glare.

Rey:" Don't dare you say a word against my Mom"

He misunderstood her totally. He thought she is like those stupid girls who blames their mother in laws in front of their husbands to create problem between mother and Son. But he is Reyaansh Singhania and he can't listen even a word against his mom let alone blaming her.

Taani:"No,I didn't mean..."

She started but he grabbed her shoulders in a death grip and slammed her against wall.

Rey:"I know exactly what you mean. But don't forget your place in this house. You are my wife just for six months. So,don't show me your cheap tricks. "

He said pressuring her arms more.Tears started flowing from her beautiful eyes and were drenching her cheeks. Rey suddenly felt a pang on his heart when he saw her tears. Till now no other women accept his Mom and best friend mattered him. He doesn't give a damn to anyone's life or death but this girl is evoking feelings inside him. And he is definitely not liking this change in his life.

He left her shoulders and left from there slamming the door behind him.

With sound of click Taani came back to world. Rey opened the door and peeped inside cheekily. She noticed that she is standing inside move-in closet and was again lost in her hurtful past memories. Rey grinned when he saw her standing in her pink bathrobe only. Her long slender legs visible to his eyes and her wet hair falling on her shoulders .

Rey:" Breakfast is ready. Come fast"

He said gaining her attension. She get conscious when she realized that she is standing in her bathrobe only.But definitely she didn't show that on her face.

Taani:" Stop ordering me. I'll come only when I'll feel like coming. So, just leave me alone"

She said angrily. He totally ignored her words and moved inside shamelessly and started looking through her clothes.

Rey:" You are here from past one hour. I thought you needed some help in selecting dress""Hmmm this will do"

He pulled out a brown Jumpsuit for her. She gave him threatening glares but he behaved like he is not affected by anything.

Rey:" We have to leave for doctor's clinic in 2 hours. So, Please come out fast"

He said thrusting that dress in her hands. He moved outside and started arranging her breakfast on table .

After half an hour Taani stepped out wearing a simple pink Saree. An evil grin was plastered on her face. She purposely avoided wearing the dress which Rey selected for her. But her happiness faded when she noticed Rey smiling at her.

He knew already that she'll not wear the dress which he'll select for her. But he selected that dress because he doesn't want her to trip on her saree pallu or churidaar's dupatta. He knew how clumsy she is ,always ready to fall and he wanted her to wear some simple comfortable clothes in this hot weather. But she being as stubborn as him, purposely avoided that dress. He made a mental note to ask his Mom to conveince Taani to wear some simple dresses instead of her sarees and churidaars.

Extension part

Rey's smile was irking Taani. She was riling up by his 'I knew it' smile.But she decided to ignore it and moved towards dressing table.She started wearing her bangles.She applied little kohl in her eyes and pink gloss on her lips.She was engrossed in drying her wet hair with towel that she didn't noticed her husband standing beside her.

Rey bent a little down and grabbed Taani's mangalsutra which was lying on dressing table,she kept it there before leaving for bath.It was then when Taani's eyes fell on him.She was confused that what he is trying to grab from dressing table.

Rey stood behind her and stopped her hand movements.He shifted all her hair on one shoulder and tied mangalsutra on her neck.Then he grabbed vermilion from table and filled her hair parting with it.Taani closed her eyes for a brief moment when she felt him doing all this by his own.In past six months of their marriage he never did this before.

Tears welled up in her eyes when she looked at him through mirror and noticed him doing the same.She felt so good when their eyes met through mirror.The picture which the mirror was presenting was so good that she could not stop a small smile appearing on her lips.This was her dream to be with her husband like this.

She knew it is all just a dream,a beautiful dream though.But still this dream was far precious than reality.She standing in arms of her husband and his baby growing inside her.This was the best moment which she was dreaming today with her open eyes.

When reality dawned her she closed her eyes tightly.She was afraid with the reality of her life which she faced in those six months and she hate her husband who is again making her dream about a life which is impossible to be turned into reality.

This time she opened her eyes with a determination.She was determined to not let her husband control her senses.If he thinks that by doing all this he can gain her forgiveness than he is wrong. The wounds which he gave her in past are too deep to be healed.

She pushed his hands away which were holding her shoulders now.And before he could gather words in counter attack she marched towards table where food was kept.

Rey was driving the car complete silence.He was well aware of Taani's fuming state.She was hell angry when Rey purposely raised the topic of her check-up in front of Mom.And Sudha being the best blackmailer and manipulator conveinced Taani to visit doctor with Rey only.And Taani could not protest much coz according to her ,her sweet MIL is unaware of present situation between this lovely couple.

Rey pulled the car in front of Clinic.He was not happy with Taani's decision of continuing her old doctor.But he could understand her situation.She is comfortable with this doctor only and he didn't wanted to impose his decision on her like he used to do before.It should be her decision only to choose her doctor and the rest he would handle carefully.Thats the biggest benifit of being THE Reyaansh Singhania.He can turn everything as per his choice anywhere anytime, hmmm except in case of his Wife actually.

He followed her inside the clinic and he was quite impressed with her choice.Though the clinic was extra small but it was clean and tidy.White coloured walls were giving a peacefull effect to the whole place and what gained his attention were the posters on wall.There were a lots of posters of babies on walls.

He couldn't help but admire them openly and imagine how his baby would look like.He heard from somewhere that babies inherits some features of parents also.He won't mind having a baby boy but he badly wished to get one girl, his princess who would look like just her mother.Who would inherit her features.Beautiful brown eyes like hers,Little nose which would turn red in anger,soft chubby pink cheeks and small little lips from which she'll call him Dadda.

Taani completed the formalities on reception.Her number was next to visit doctor.After thanking the receptionist she turned around.She was surprised to see her husband admiring those posters openly.At this time she is not seeing some cunning bussinessmen but just a desperate father who wish to see his baby.

She felt a different emotion today. Is it guilt? Yes, her heart screamed back.It is guilt to keep a father away from his baby.She didn't knew why but this feeling was taking control over her. Till now she hid this news from him thinking that he would hate this baby also.And she was satisfied with this hate,coz till now she faced his hate only.But she doesn't have any strength to handle his love.His love for her,for their baby.

No,its her baby only.She'll not let him touch her baby.She can't trust him over this.What if he'll change his mind again.

She can't trust him again,atleast not with the baby. Last time when he showered her with love she trusted him with her whole heart.He gave her so many hopes and then on the very next day he broke her trust.Her shattered all the hopes and in this process he broke her completely. And no matter what She doesn't have that strength to be his toy again.Now she can't let these emotions rule her.She will never trust him again.And definately she'll not let him touch HER baby.

With this she removed that guilt from herself and moved towards him and broke his oh-so-lovely dream to be with HER baby.

Taani:"Are you planning to stand here whole day?"

Rey came out of his trance and looked towards her.And gave her his rare smile which always skipped her heart a beat.

Rey:"No,I have some better plans for us Mrs.Singhania"

He replied with his his lovely teasing voice and Taani felt her heart beating fastly.

Taani:"Its Taani.I have a name so stop calling me that"

She replied fidgetting with her saree pallu. She would never admitt but yes it always skips her heart when he calls her Mrs.Singhania in his husky voice.Shhh..its her own little secret.

Rey:"What? Mrs.Singhania."He asked leaning towards her and trapping her between him and the wall.She nodded slowly getting affected with his close proximity.

Rey:"But I love calling you Mrs.Singhania"He whispered the latter part huskily in her ears.Inhaling her fruity smell.Oh god he so loved her freshly washed hair smell."Which shampoo you use?I just love its smell Mmm"He couldn't help but ask her that due to curiosity.

For people around they were presenting a view of couple madly in love.Other pregnant women around were blushing looking at their romance in public and their respective hubbies were making plans for romancing their wives.

Taani came out from trance with his lame question.

Taani:"What the hell are you doing?"She asked gritting her teeth.He again gave her that oh-so-sexy smile and looked in her eyes.

Rey:"Hmm Romancing by baby's mother I guess,Mrs.Singhania"He said pecking her right cheek.She felt her cheeks burning with that kiss and she could not help but blush in deep shade of red.She wished she could just push him but her body was not in her control anymore.This devil of her husband in controlling her .

"Cough cough.Its your number Mrs.Singhania"

They heard someone's voice and Rey moved back reluctantly.They turned around and saw a blushing nurse there.Rey smirked and Taani wished earth would just swallow her inside.

Rey:"Chale,Mrs.Singhania"Rey winked and moved forward smilingly.The nurse blushed more if that would be possible and Taani's face formed a perfect O. She was shocked with his this behaviour.

Taani:"Shameless"She muttered under her breadth and moved forward.

Doctor:"Hello Mr.Singhania.Its really nice to see you.I am glad you accompanied Taani in her check up.She told me that you are a very busy person but Its good you could make up this visit atleast"

After Taani's check up she greeted Rey and they all got settled in chairs.

Rey:"Sorry for not attending last check-ups,doctor.But I assure you that from now on I'll accompny my wife in her every visit.She is much more important than any work"

Rey replied eyeing Taani in his last sentence.Doctor smiled sensing the love between this couple.

Rey:"Actually I wanted to know her health status.Is everything fine? Do we need to take any special precautions or steps?"

He asked again looking towards doctor.She smiled for his care for his wife.

Doctor:"Her health is now better than her last check-up.I will just advise you to take care of her properly.And since she is entering her second stage of pregnancy so there would be many hormonal changes also.So,I advise you to handle everything pateintly."She explained and Rey listened with utmost care.

Doctor:"Soon you'd be able to feel your baby bump too.And many movements inside you also.I am sure you'd be delighted to feel a little life inside you.So,Don't take any tensions and just enjoy this phase of your life with your loved ones"

Doctor explained carefully to Taani.A bright smile appeared on her face when she heard that soon she'll be able to feel a little life moving inside her.Since beggining she is waiting to see her baby bump.and now finally her this wish would come true.

Rey was so happy to see that smile on her face.He just loved when she smiled like this,wholeheartedly.
