Chapter 4

Rey,Taani and Sudha were having their dinner .Taani and Sudha were all the time talking like long lost best friends and Rey was admiring the two most important ladies of his life.One his Mom who gave him life and second his wife who taught him the meaning of life.

Taani was very happy today to meet her MIL as well as very good friend of her.From the very beginning she has felt a different kind of bond with this lady.

Sudha:"Beta agar aap kal free ho to hum mandir mein ek pooja rakhna chahte hai "

Sudha asked Taani caressing her face.Taani smiled but then looked at Rey for his answer,no matter what he is her current boss and she can't skip office without his permission.

Rey:"Mom kal humari ek bahut important meeting h,aap pooja Sunday ko rakh lena.Vaise bhi aapki kal doctor ke saath appointment hai"

Rey's mom gave him fake angry look.She then looked towards taani.

Sudha:"Beta inse keh dijiye ki inhe chinta karne ki zaroorat nahi h.Jab itne mahino Maa ka haal nahi jaana to aaj kyu chinta kar rahe h."

Then she turned to rey.

Sudha:"Aur vaise bhi ye pooja hum aur bahu hi attend karenge to aapko aane ki koi zaroorat nahi h"

Rey was all the while irritated with his mother who was giving Taani more importance then him.

Rey:"Mom aapki pyaari bahu bhi aapke saath pooja mein nahi jaa sakti coz she works for me and main apne employees ko bina kisi valid reason ke chutti nahi deta,so forget about your pooja and we'll visit doctor as decided earlier"

Sudha was irritated with her son'd pestering to visit doctor but she got happy when she got to know that Taani and Rey works together.

Sudha:"Oh beta aap bhi office jaate ho"She turned towards taani and decided to tease them"humein nahi pata tha humare bte aapse thodi der bhi door nahi reh sakte"

She smiled and teased them.Rey was smirking at this sentence coz only he knew that he really can't stay away from her.But taani was looking down at her lap.

Sudha:"Sachmein aaj hum bahut khush h aap dono mein itna pyaar dekhkar.Ab to maut bhi aa jaaye to bhi koi dukh nahi"

She said with tears in her eyes.But taani and rey both jerked up at her sentence.

Rey:"MOM...stop this nonsence of your's.Aapko kuch nahi hoga,hum kal hi doctor ke paas jayenge and jaldi hi aap thik ho jaoge"

She smiled looking at her son's caring side.

Sudha:"Arre hum to mazak kar rahe the.Itni jaldi aap dono ka peecha nahi chodne wale.Vaise bhi hum abhi 20-25 saal aur jeene ka soch rahe h.Ab to apne grandchildren's ki shaadi karke hi marenge"

Rey felt something different when he thought about her mom's grandchild.He felt nice.It was a new feeling for him to think about his child with taani, with the girl whom he hated to the core but now is in love with her hopelessly.

Taani felt a tug in her heart when she heard that word from the lady whom she respects and loves a lot.She felt like she is betraying her by hiding this truth from her.And moreover she is betraying her baby by depriving him from the love n care he deserves.

After finishing dinner they all retarted to their room's.When Rey entered in his room after ensuring that his mother slept peacefully he saw taani sitting at window s edge staring at sky.

She was wearing her old white nightie which reached a little above her ankles.She didn't brought her clothes from her home.She just got her medicines and important things which she needed here.Her old dresses were neatly arranged in his cupboard.She didn't knew that he kept her clothes with his coz in old days he had given her different section for clothes coz he didn't liked if someone invades in his private space.But now he himself allowed her to use his private space when there is nothing left between them.

She was engrossed in her thoughts of her future with her baby.What she will tell her baby if he/she will ask about his/her dad??How she will hide this truth from Rey that she is pregnant??Will Mom forgive her for hiding this matter from her??

Rey took his clothes from cupboard and entered inside bathroom not disturbing her.He came out after night shower and changing into his night clothes.Black trousers and black vest.She was still sitting there looking at sky.

He moved towards her and kept his hand on her shoulder.She jerked up with sudden touch and looked towards him.

Rey:"Its very late.U should sleep,Kal office bhi jana h"

Taani gave him angry look and went away from there.He looked at her amazed with her attitude.

She took quilt from cupboard and pillow from bed and arranged them on couch.Rey was all the while confused that what the hell is she doing??

Rey:"What the hell u think u r doing??"

He asked angrily standing in front of her.She looked at him innocently like she doenn't have any idea what he is asking.

Taani:"I m dancing...can't u see I m preparing to sleep"

She replied sarcastically.

Rey:"Oh I can very well see that.But will you plz explain that why r u preparing to sleep' on couch."

He replied folding his hands in front of his chest.

Taani:"Beacause I don't want to sleep on bed WITH YOU"

She replied calmly,stressing on with you'.

Rey:"Taani sleep on bed coz I won't let u sleep on couch.As you are helping me so it's my responsibility to look after your comfort"

Taani smirked as she got a new idea and stood up n sat on bed.

Taani:"Actually I think u r ri8.So,its decided I'll sleep on bed but...U will sleep on couch"

Rey was shocked like hell.He stared her with open mouth still fighting to register her words in his mind.

Rey:"Are you out of your mind.Me,Reyaansh Singhania will sleep on couch.Keep dreaming"

He said after coming out from shock.He took pillow and quilt from couch and sat on other side of bed.In reflex action Taani stood up from bed.

Taani:"Okay.You sleep on bed and I'll leave right now.Then you would've to explain Mom that why I left you"

She said folding her hands in front of her chest.

Rey:"U will not leave.I know you care about mom and you'll not do anything which can hurt her"

He said with a winning smile on his face.Taani thought for a second and she knew he is right.She can never ever hurt her Mom.

Taani:"Yes I can't leave but I'll tell mom that U r not a good husband and you are dating some other girl outside.And it won't be difficult for her to believe me after looking at your 100's of pics with that Sanaya in magazines .And technically I won't lie coz she actually roams in your cabin all day like its her other home.So Mom will hate you and then you keep explaining her."

He looked at his fuming wife with a smirk on his face.He knew that she got carried away with the argument and is not in sense that what she is blaberring.But he was happy that she is jealous of him talking to Sanaya.

He pulled her wrist and she landed on his chest.She was surprised with the sudden pull and in reflex action she closed her eyes.

He looked at her beautiful face void of any make-up.Just her strawberry gloss shining on her lips and inviting him to taste them.Her hair strands were falling on her face and disturbing his view.With one hand he kept holding her wrist and with other hand he started putting her hair strands behind her ear.

She opened her eyes slowly when she felt his touch on her face.Their eyes met and she felt herself drowning into them.He was looking at her with so much love like she is the only one for him.Their lips were just some inches apart and she felt need to taste his lips.She closed her eyes in anticipation and he got her permission and started moving his lips towards her.

Their lips were about to touch when she remembered old days where he gave her so much pain.She jerked up and tried to push herself from him.He opened his eyes and shied away due to her stubbornness.

Rey:"Stop struggling,I'll not eat you up"

He left her wrist and she got up in haste and smoothed her dress.He also stood up in front of her.

Rey:"Someone is jealous with mine and Sanaya's closeness"

He said with a smirk.She looked up at him in anger.She was angry with herself for letting him affect her.

Taani:"I am not jealous.I know she doesn't love you.No one in this world loves you coz you don't deserve any love in your life.You deserves only hate.Your Mom will also hate you if she'll get to know how much you hurted me"

As soon as words about his Mom escaped her mouth he held her shoulders tightly and his eyes were red with anger.The love for her subsided away and now anger took its place.

Rey:"Don't you dare Taani.My Mom will never hate me bcoz I love her more than my life ,Just bcoz of her I married a girl like you,just for her health I am tolerating you in my house.So,you shut your mouth or else you know what I can do.I will show you hell right here"

He pushed her away and she fell on ground hitting her hand with bedside table in this process.

He left from there without even looking at her once .He went out on terrace to control his anger.

Taani sat on ground holding her hurt hand,she was crying miserably.

Taani:"I know you hate me Rey.I know you married me just for your Mom.You have already made my life hell.My life is hell with you.I hate you "

She cried lying down on ground.She was caressing her belly to comfort her child.

Taani:"Baby Maa will take you away from this hell.Ek baar daadi maa ki tabiyat thik ho jaaye phir maa aapko yaha se door le jayegi.Main is insaan ko aapko dard nahi dene doongi.I love you baby and I'll protect you from him till my last breath"

She slept on floor caressing her belly and shedding tears.

He cried helplessly on terrace.He was angry on himself for hurting her.He never wanted to say what he said to her.He is not tolerating her for his mom,he actually wants her in his life.But she everytime provokes his anger and he ends up hurting her.

After controlling himself he went down and what he saw in his room took away his breath for a second.A sharp knife pierced through his heart when he saw her sleeping on floor.Dried tears were visible on her beautiful face.Her arm was red due to bruises.

He moved towards her and swooped her in his arms.He gently put her on bed and then took out medicine from cupboard and gently applied it on her bruised arm.He caressed her face and for a second he felt like he is touching some dead body.Her body was chill due to sleeping on floor and she was not moving with his touch.Due to tiredness she was sleeping unconsciously.He covered her with a quilt and shut off all windows and air-condistioner.He kissed her forhead and then slept on couch as decided by her.

Morning~

She opened her eyes in morning.She looked around and then realised she is in her old room.Then it dawned her that she is back in her old house,but with that realisation last nights thoughts came back in her mind and she felt sudden pain in her heart.She looked around and saw him sleeping like a child on couch.His one arm n leg falling down from couch and his mouth wide open.His hair falling on his face.She admired the handsome man sleeping in front of her.A hurtful smile appeared on her face.

Taani:"Rey why do you hurt me so much??I love you but you always hurt me and now I can't bear this pain.I will control my heart which every moment beats for you.I will make my heart hate you"

With this determination she started her morning and went inside bathroom to take bath.

After getting ready she went down wearing a beautiful blue saree with black blouse.She did morning aarti and till then Sudha also joined her in mandir.She touched her feet and sudha hugged her lovingly and blessed her.

Sudha:"Reyaansh ab tak nahi uthe??"

She asked Taani.

Rey:"I m here Mom"

Rey replied entering inside mandir.Dressed in his office clothes.He touched Sudha's feet and she blessed him but showed fake anger for last nights talk.

He held his one ear with his hand and made a innocent puppy face.She laughed and smacked his head lovingly and hugged him.He smiled and hugged her back.Taani was smiling looking at the duo lovingly.

Then they left to breakfast.They all ate discussing about Sudha's appointment with doctor.Rey ensured her that he'll come back early from office and will take her with him to doctor.

TaaRey bid bye to Sudha and left for office in same car.

They reached little far from home when Taani asked him to stop the car but he didn't.

Taani:"I said stop the car or else I'll jump "

She said angrily.He felt his anger rising but he controlled himself remembering last night's fight.

Rey:"Its auto-locked"

He said with a smirk.She shied angrily.
