Chapter 3A :: Changing equations

Taani is sitting silently in her room and thinking about her old days with her husband.Their marriage was not normal like other couples but she had faith that one day her Krishna Ji will turn everything in good.

But now her life is changed...drastically.She is no more with her husband ,she is carrying his baby without his knowledge,her father's house is on verge of selling,there is no improvement in her mothers health and her old grand mother is not in a state to help Taani.So now she has no other option than doing work with her ex-husband.She is afraid that how long she'll be able to hide this truth from him that she is pregnant.But now she can't back off,now her responsibilies are increasing that she has to take care of one more life growing inside her.With this determination she gets ready to head off to RS office.

Taani entered in office and straightly went to her cabin.To her relief she didn't came face to face with Rey.He was busy in some outdoor work and didn't showed in office.She busied herself in work.She was taking some print outs when she felt dizzy.She sat on her chair to stable herself.Then she remembered that she didn't have morning breakfast.In morning her Dadi Maa went to mandir so taani left without eating.She noticed its almost lunch time so she left for canteen to eat something and then have her medicines.

She took her favourate sandwich with orange juice and sat on an empty table.She was munching her food when she felt someone standing beside her.

Girl :"Can I sit here???"

She asked politely.Taani nodded her head and passed a smile.She immediately liked this girl.She is dressed in a beautiful pink kurti and dark blue jeans.Her shoulder length hair tucked in a stylish braid and minimal make-up on her face.She is just like Taani.

Girl:"Hello,I m Neha.And u????"

She extanded her hand ,Taani shook hand with her.

Taani:"Taani Shekhawat"

She replied.Both started munching their food.

Neha:"Tumne pehle kabhi yaha dekha nahi??"Neha asked.

Taani:"Maine kuch hi din pehle office join kiya h" she replied.

Neha:"Oh so u r the new girl.Mr.Singhania's new secretary.Bahut suna h tunhare baare mein"she wined excitedly on seeing her boss's new famous secretary.

Taani:"Definitely accha nahi suna hoga" taani stated sarcastically.

Neha:"No dear aisa kuch nahi h." Neha put her hand on Taani's."pehle mere saath bhi aisa hua tha,but jaise jaise time bitega sabko koi naya topic mil jayega and tumhari gossip old ho jayegi"

Taani:"exactly what they are talking about me??"Taani asked deserate to know what news they have cooked.

Neha:"Nothing big just that u had your breakfast with Boss on ur first day and yesterday he dragged you in his cabin"As realization sulked in Taani that everyone noticed this little exchange between their Boss and his secretary she felt more rage toward the only person responsible for all this drama, her ex-husband and unfortunately current boss.

Before she could say something a guy came there and informed Taani that Boss is calling her in his cabin right now.

Guy:"RS is calling u in his cabin ,ri8 now"

Taani nodded and saw a little exchange in Neha and guy through their eyes.

Guy:"BTW I m Vikram Kalsi,head manager here"

He forwarded his hand.taani shaked her hnd with his.

Taani:"Hello Sir,I m Taani Shekhawat"

Vicky:"Don't call me sir,Its sounds like oldie, call me vicky"

Taani nodded .

Vicky:Now leave before Rey starts shouting like mad"

Taani smiled and left.She noticed he addressed his boss RS with his nickname'Rey' so he must be close to him.First she moved in her cabin and took her medicine coz she dsnt want to faint in his arms again ,then she moved in his cabin.

She knocked lightly and heard him asking her to come in.She entered and stood still in front of his desk.He looked up and saw her looking pretty like always in her beautiful white churidaar.

Rey:"Take a seat"

He commanded her and she obliged not initiating any fight.

Taani:"You called me here???"

She asked when he didn't started any conversation for 2 minutes.

Rey:"Can we talk somewhere else,Its something personel"

He asked in a low voice.She wanted to fight but then she looked at him.He never looked so vulnerable in past.There was a kind of pain in his eyes but she was too hurt to soothe his pain so she declined his request.So,he continued.

Rey:"Mom called this morning.She is coming here for treatment"

She felt a sudden tension arising inside her when she heard the word treatment.

Taani:"Treatment??"

She asked coming out from shock.

Rey:"She is not feeling good nowdays and is falling Ill frequently.She wants to live with us for some days"

He stated and then it dawned to her that her MIL is still not aware about their divorce.She never wants to live with this man under one roof but she started thinking about her MIL who was always good with her.She treated her like a mother treats her child.Before she could conclude anything she heard his voice.

Rey:"Mujhe pata h tumhari Maa aur Daadi bhi akele hain, aur tumhe apni Maa ke treatment ke liye paiso ki jaroorat bhi hai.So we can make a deal.U come and act like my wife in front of my mother and in return main tumhari Maa ke treatment ke liye pay kar doonga"

She smiled thinking that he just understands the language of money.He need her help but still he is making deal here.

Taani:"I'll come and act as your wife but on my conditions" he smiled coz he knew money can buy anything but he frown when she said abt conditions .before he could ask her she continued .

Taani:"I m not doing this for your money.I am capable to take care of people I love.I'll arrange money for my mother's treatment.I m coming only because I can't see Mom(Rey's mother) suffering because of her Son's deeds.She was my only support in those 6 months when u were busy torturing me.But I've my conditions and those are .-After mom will leave u'll not force me to live there.- U'll never question me about my personel life and I'll have every freedom. And last we will stay separately and u'll never cross your limits. If u agree to these conditions then only I'll act as your wife."

He was hell irritated with her stubbornness.But stay calmed bcoz now he can't afford any fight with her.His Mom's health is most important now.

Rey:"Okay so I'll pick u up in evening.Ur old dresses are already at home so u just accompany me to receive Mom from airport this evening"

She nodded her head and stood up to leave.She reached near door and opened it to leave when she felt him calling her.

Rey:"Taani" She turned. "Thank You"

She didn't react just left from there leaving him.

Chapter 3B : Changing equations

Taani was waiting outside her house for Rey.She was feeling guilty for lieing to her Dadi Maa,She lied to her that she is going out for some weeks for a business trip.She didn't wanted her to get worried for her safety in Rey's house.

She came out of her thoughts when she heard car horn.Rey came out from his car and held her bag which she was holding.She backed to refuse him.But he forcefully snatched it from her and put it in car's digge.He opened the front door for her and without initiating any argument she silently sat down there.He took his seat and started driving to his destination.He was busy in driving and Taani was looking outside window.She was thinking about her old days with him.She still remember the day when she first saw him sitting in her house.

Flashback~

Taani was getting ready in her room because some people are coming to see her with wedding proposal.She was hell nervous to meet them.

Her Maa and Dadi maa helped her in getting ready.These three ladies live alone in their house which Taani's father built with his hard work .Her father died in an accident when she was in college.At that time her mother took all responsibilities on her shoulders to arrange expenses for living.Taani wanted to help her Maa but she forced her to complete her studies.And now when her college is about to end ,she wants to help her Maa but she is reluctant to get her married.Taani couldn't understand that why her mother wants her to get married so fast.

With these questions in her mind she came out from her room.Her Maa held her a tray with tea and escorted her towards guests.Like been told by her Maa she kept her eyes lower and didn't looked up when she was actually dying to see the person sitting in front of her.She heard a lady's sweet voice .

Rey's mom Sudha:"Beta aaiye humare paas baithiye"

She sweetly asked her.Taani kept the tray on table and sat beside her on sofa.

Sudha:"Inse miliye ye h humare bte,Reyaansh."

She introduced her to her son.Taani didn't looked up and still looked lower.

After that Mrs.Singhania asked her some typical questions which she answered in lower voice.

Sudha:"Humein lagta h Taani aur Rey ko akele mein baat karni chahiye.Aakhirkaar shaadi to inhe hi karni h na.Aap kya kehti h ,maaji??"

She asked respectedly to taani's grandma.Taani felt sudden respect for this lady who is giving so much respect to her dadi maa.

Dadi Maa:"Ji. jaisa aap thik samjhe"

Ragini(Taani's maa) :"Taani,Jao Inhe chat(terrace) pe le jao"

Taani nodded and stood up.Rey also stood up and followed her.

With sudden break Taani came out of her thoughts.She looked around and noticed that they have arrived Airport.

Rey:"We've arrived.Mom ki flight bhi land kar chooki hogi.I'll go and look for her"

He moved out leaving her behind.He stood at exit door and then her mom came with her luggage.

She was dressed in a beautiful Cream saree.Rey bend down and touched her feet.She blessed him and then both moved towards Car.

Rey kept her luggage in Car.Taani came out and touched her feet and took her blessings.Shehugged her lovingly and caressed her hair and blessed her.

Taani and Sudha settled down at back seat while Rey drived the car.Taani and Sudha talked about her health and appointment with doctor.(remember rey's mom is not well)

In no time they reached home.Taani felt a sudden wave of emotion when she saw the place where she lived 6 months of her life.Where she dreamed of happy days with her husband and in return she got only pain.She wished for his love but got his hatred only in return.

The trio came out from car and headed to their house.(plz imagine Rey's house from D3).A servant opened the door and Rey ordered him to take luggage out from car.He commanded him to put Taani's bag in their room.Taani entered inside putting her right leg.She remembered her Grah Pravesh day when she for the first time entered inside and then memories of the worst day of her life came back to her mind when Rey threw her out of house.

Rey's mom went inside guest room to take rest and Rey asked Taani to go into their old room.She entered inside and tears started making their way through her eyes.She was shocked to see the whole room arranged as per her liking.Her beautiful bridal pic hanged on wall just above bed.Her many pictures on all the walls of room.She smiled and cried at the same time.

Rey entered inside and stood behind her.He was more than sure that she'll this arrangement of room.Now she'll definitely forgive him for his old deeds.

Rey:"Liked it??"

He asked wrapping his hands on her waist and he kept his chin on her right shoulder.

Taani:"Very much.Thanks for arranging everything like this.My these solo pics will remind me that how alone I m in my life."

He was shocked to hear such words from her.He moved behind and she faced him.

Taani:"Aapko pata h,main hamesha se is room ko humari memories se bhara hua dekhna chahti thi.But is room mein humari ek bhi pic nahi h.U knw why?? Bcoz hum kabhi saath the hi nahi.Aapke saath meri koi acchi yaadein hai hi nahi jo mujhe yaad rahenge.Aapke saath sirf dard mila h mujhe,sirf dard.Aur us dard ko main ab kabhi yaad karna nahi chahti"

She moved away and went inside washroom.He was hurt with her words but his hurt was nothing in front of what he gave her,and he knew this fact.He angrily left the room .

Taani locked herself in washroom and cried her heart out.She was getting so emotional after entering her old room.She washed her face with cold water.She touched her tummy and started taking with her baby.

Taani:"Baby ,I m sorry but I can't forgive that man.He gave so much pain to your Maa that now she doesn't have any strength to take any more from him.He can't keep us happy and I m not sure that he will accept u or not.What if He'll force be to abort u.No Baby,I will never do such sin.Don't worry Maa will take care of u till her last breath.U r my jaan and I will not let anyone harm u.Maa loves u baccha and she will protect u always."

Taani wiped her face and came out.One maid informed her dinner has been set on dinning table.She moved out and headed towards dinning table.
