Chapter 8 - Jaane Kya Dhunde Piya..!?

ASR-Um.. Ya.. I remember, so??

He raised his eye brows to which her mouth left open..

Khushi (in disbelief)-So? Just SO?? Arnavji!

Arnav (confused)-What?

Khushi (baffled)-You are so - - you are so - - *Hmpf*.. Leave it..

Khushi was angry cum irritated.. She turned her back on him and shoved his hands off her shoulders when he tried to come close from behind..

Arnav (sounding low)-What happened Khushi? Are you, are you not happy being with me today?

She was so surprised hearing that..

. She turned around just to find him serious..

Khushi-No Arnavji! Its not like that.. In fact, I should be the one asking you that.. Are you happy with me today?

Arnav-Of course! I am..

Khushi made a sad face looking down and he took a step near her..

Khushi-Really? I - I don't think so Arnavji, coz.. *pouts* I - - I feel your avoiding me..

Khushi was still looking down to know that Arnav was now smiling.. She continued..

Khushi-Am sorry, I know now that - -

But before she completes, he went ahead to carry her in his arms and leave her shocked..

Khushi-Arnavji!!

She held onto his arms clutching his shirt getting scared.. She gulped seeing his eyes and looked down to hear from him..

Arnav-I know exactly what you would have felt Khushi.. After all, I too have gone through the same once..

He lay her on the bed and sat besides her to see her staring his face..

Arnav-What?? Don't you remember the days after Aarav was born?

*Flashback*

Evening..

Gupta House..

Khushi dint know when she fell asleep on the bed inside her room, tired of doing her motherly duties.. It had been four months that Aarav was born, and Khushi had been here since then..

ASR's SUV stopped outside the Gupta House and he looked sideways to see out of the window, taking out his glairs.. He was looking as usually dashing in that three-piece-suit and his hairs all gelled up.. He got out of the Car closing the door and started walking towards the house..

He had taken a half day from AR, and directly came here to meet his Wife and Kid.. He was missing his Crazy Innocent Wife night and day, and had mentally thought of getting her Back to Raizada Mansion today..

He was entering the Gupta House, his Sasuraal, when heard some noises from the Drawing Room.. ASR smiled a little recognising that voice, and knew his son was now up, having taken his share of sleep.. The door was Open and ASR came in to see Garima and Shashi, who were fully engrossed in playing with their grand child..

Garima (smiles wide)-Aa lu lu lu lu.. Aarav kya dekh raha hai? Nani hai.. Hum tumhari Amma ki Amma hai.. (What is Aarav looking at? Its ur Nani.. I am ur Amma's Amma..) Hu lu lu lu..

Garima cooed softly, swinging baby Aarav in her arms, and Shashi who was sitting next to her laughed as little Aarav giggled.. The proud parents turned grandparents who were unaware of ASR's presence, continued to play with the baby and ASR's heart felt immence happiness to see someone playing with His Son with so much love and making His baby smile..

Shashi-Ku chi ku chi ku.. Ab Aarav ko apne Nana ke paas aana hai, haina beta? Aaao.. Mere paas aao.. (Now Aarav wants to come to his Nana, right beta? Come.. Come to me..)

Shashi extended his hands to take Aarav in his arms but Garima turned away not passing this little bundle of joy to her husband..

Garima (looking at baby)-Nahi Aarav.. Aapko Nani ke saath khelna hai, hai na beta? (No Aarav.. U want to play with ur Nani, right?) Aa lu lu lu lu..

Shashi (irritated)-Garima this is not fare..

Garima (genuinely)-Arey but.. He will start crying if u take him..

Shashi (confidently)-No he won't!

Cutting their little argument, ASR came to stand in front of these two and smiled wide..

ASR-Namaste..

ASR greeting Shashi and Garima folding his hands and these two stood up with Aarav still in Garima's hands..

Shashi (smiles)-Arey, Damaad ji.. Aap?

Garima (smiles wide)-Arnav bitwa.. When did u come? We dint realise..

ASR (smirks)-Yeah! I can see that..

Garima-Actually, he (Aarav) just woke up a few minutes ago and just got in mood.. We thought to play with him till he does not get cranky..

ASR nodded and Garima smiled again looking at Aarav and making faces for Aarav to giggle.. Aarav did jump getting excited to this..

Shashi walked ahead and asked ASR to sit.. ASR gazed at his Son, and understanding his expressions, Garima passed Aarav to ASR carefully.. ASR's chest widened taking his baby in his hands and smiled staring him, who was gazing at his father continuously.. Aarav grabbed ASR's thumb and circled his small fingers completely around his daddy's big thumb, tightly..

ASR smiled and looked up as Garima said..

Garima-Plz sit.. I will bring u water..

ASR-NO.. Um.. I meant, Khushi kaha hai? (Where is Khushi?)

He asked looking towards the kitchen and not finding her there.. Garima smiled and replied that Khushi was inside her room.. She left to get some water for her Son-In-Law while Shashi sat besides ASR and they both stared Aarav not knowing how to play with him which does not make him cry..

ASR dint spend much time with Aarav till now, and was not good at handling kids either.. But he held Aarav close to him and kissed him softly on his cheeks and face, and smiled as Aarav chucklled.. ASR felt indefinable whenever he took Aarav in his arms.. He still could not believe sometimes, that he had become a Father today! It felt heavy and light, both together..

Garima came and took Aarav from his father while ASR drank water.. ASR then left to meet Khushi inside, not knowing that she was sleeping..
