Chapter 7 - Am Pregnant!!

Khushi-Nahi Arnavji.. (No Arnavji..)

He saw her gulping and stopped.. He pulled back and asked in concern..

Arnav-Kya hua Khushi? U okay?

Khushi-Hum yeh nahi kar sakte.. (I cant do this..)

She got up from the Bed and he followed her.. She was tensed and looking everywhere fiddling with her dupatta.. He came behind her and held her waist from behind.. She closed her eyes and he turned her to pull her close.. She held his shoulders looking at his collar bones with a scared little face and he looked at her worried face..

Arnav-Hey! What happened?

She slowly-slowly looked up and opened her trembling lips to ask him softly..

Khushi-I want to spend some time with u Arnavji.. Can't I?

Arnav-Of course Khushi! U have all my time..

Khushi-When?

His brows crooked and he uttered..

Arnav-What?

His grip on her bare waist went loose and she closed the distance between them and asked resting her hands on his collar bones..

Khushi-I meant NOW.. U were so busy last few days, we dint even talk properly, forget spending time..

Arnav was now getting on what track Khushi was talking.. He was about to speak something when she cut in getting restless..

Khushi-Arnavji, I am asking u this after much efforts, and won't ask this to u again.. Plz be frank.. PAUSE.. Do u really want this? I ' I mean, um.. Are u happy with me?

Arnav felt totally BLANK at this question..! His mouth dropped in disbelief and he took a few steps away from her.. He turned his back at her and turned to face her again and..

Arnav-Khushi? Why did u ask that? U - - U think I am not happy with u? I - I - I know okay, that I was unable to give u time.. But that was not just u but also Nani and Aarav.. How - - How did u even think that?? Out of all at least u should have know that it was so coz I had been working so damn hard for my family, which starts with u.. I keep thinking about our future and u think, I don't want this?? And I thought u understand Khushi, I thought u would understand..

He looked down and Khushi got all her answers in his eyes.. She rushed towards him and held his face in her hands and made him look at him..

Khushi-Am sorry Arnavji.. I know u did like me, but - -

Arnav looked at Khushi in disbelief and interrupted..

Arnav-Like?? Ur my wife Khushi, not because I JUST like u.. I love u.. Dint u know that till date?

Arnav's hands were over Khushi's which were on his own face, and he was staring at an embarrassed cum guilty Khushi for her to speak..

Khushi-Am sorry.. I - - I thought this was just an arranged marriage for u and - - .. U never used to speak much also.. Remember when I told u I am pregnant, how u replied?

*Flash Back*

It had just been 6 months to their marriage, and Khushi had not even been on a Proper Honeymoon due to her Mr. Raizada's workload.. But that was balanced as their room was no less than anything, and apart from these two, only Nani and a few servants lived in Raizada Mansion..

ArShi Room..

Khushi had been waiting for her husband inside their room sitting on the recliner.. She was remembering their beautiful moments together till date which were not many, but a few precious one's for sure.. She was blushing looking down at her lower stomach and hid her face in her palms.. She was just waiting for Him since this afternoon when her mind alarmed her something and she saw the Calendar Dates..

She could hardly wait now.. Just then she looked at the door..

Arnav came from office very tired and directly came in his room.. Khushi got up and neared him but in return he gave her his Laptop Bag and Over Coat, and spoke loosening his own tie..

Arnav-I am really hungry Khushi.. Plz get the dinner ready.. I will come in a while after getting fresh, okay?

Before she could even nod a yes, he left for the bathroom and her smile dropped.. She was irritated and in that she threw his Coat and Laptop bag in frustration on the Bed itself and went down..

Raizada Kitchen..

Arnav came down getting fresh and took his seat on the dining table..

Khushi started serving him and he got engrossed in eating.. He looked at her once and smiled but she looked away and went inside the kitchen to bring water for him..

He had his dinner and left for their room.. Khushi had already had her dinner with Nani and now she too left thumping her foot down leaving the workload for HP to manage..

ArShi Room..

Khushi entered her room just to see her husband again stuck to his laptop..

She was not happy seeing this.. She banged their door to lock it behind which surely caught Arnav's attention..

Never in these past six months till their marriage Khushi behaved so harsh.. He stared her as she removed her dupatta and threw it on the recliner and made her way to their bed besides her husband.. She laid down not facing his side and spoke..

Khushi-Switch Off the lights when u are done.. I want to sleep..

Arnav switched off the lights immediately and silently got up to move out with his laptop at the poolside.. Khushi felt him getting up and turned only to see his disappearing figure..

She was feeling sad but her eyes dint go wet..

After a while when he was still not inside, Khushi stood up and walked at the poolside not able to wait more..

Arnav was just closing the laptop when he saw his wife standing a feet away from him and staring him with her hands crossed on her chest.. He stood up and took a step towards her and held her shoulders..

Arnav-Khushi, are u okay? I thought u slept..

He was always so calm when he talked to her.. Getting angry on his family was not in his nature.. But Khushi seemed be acting different today, what was with her? Thought her husband..

Khushi looked at him forgetting her anger and pouted her lips tilting her head a bit and looking down and again looking up taking a deep breathe..

Khushi-Arnavji, I think I am pregnant..

His eyes went wide and his eye brows went up.. He was silent for a few moments as if digesting the meaning of her words.. She was waiting for an answer from his side when he looked at her and nodded casually..

Arnav-Okay then! Let the baby come..

He smiled a bit and she sighed.. Nodding her head she went to close him, dropping her head on his shoulders and circling her arms around his back for him to let her in, in his warm chest..
