Chapter 10

"How beautiful!" Trisha exclaimed as she watched the well decorated hall filled with all the big celebraties of the industry. 

"It looks so boring" roli commented, unenthusiastically. 

Roli was wearing a red color sleeveless party wear. Her hair was slightly curled and left open freely to dangle along with air. Lightly done make up was giving complement to her already gorgeous face. She hadn't got ready much but, still looked stunning, grabbing the attention of many people in the hall as she entered. 

"Com'on roli, don't be so moody now. Let's enjoy the party" trisha held roli's right arm and dragged in to the hall. 

"Can't we just sit at some corner and enjoy" roli stressed on the last word as she was dragged by trisha to almost middle of the hall. 

"Let's meet kurana sir first. He said he got something important to tell you about" trisha continued to walk holding roli. While roli could only follow her helplessly. 

When they both reached near a group of three people. Trisha waved her hand at one of the men in the group. He excused himself and walked up to them. 

"You girls are here. I was waiting for you both" Mr.Kurana, a middle aged man, smiled brightly at them. 

"There was heavy traffic so we got late, sorry" trisha responded apologetically as she glanced at roli, who looked away from her. 

First, trisha had to beg roli to come to the party. Second, roli wasn't interested in dressing up. And again trisha had to force her to get dress up which got them late to reach the hall. 

"It's fine. Anyways, the person to whom I'm gonna introduce roli hasn't reached yet" Mr.kurana said as he looked at the time in his wrist watch.  

"You're gonna introduce me to someone?" Roli was surprised. 

Mr.kurana nodded as he replied "he's the top most film maker. There are many projects he's gonna release under his banner. So, I thought to suggest you to one of those projects. If it works, you'll become a star over night". 

"But, I..." Roli was immediately interrupted by trisha. 

"It's okay, sir. We'll wait until he comes" trisha smiled, politely and dragged roli away from that place without giving her a chance to speak. 

"What are you doing, trisha?" After moving to a little distance, roli stopped on her tracks and almost yelled. "I said I'm not interested in acting anymore". 

"I know. But, we don't know who's that person is yet. As Mr.kurana mentioned if he's really a top film maker then this opportunity can give a break to your career. Just think about it once" trisha tried to persuade roli. 

"I don't even want this career. So, no matter how big a film maker he is, it wouldn't matter for me" roli stated, firmly. 

"Hey, girls! How are you both?" They heard a familiar voice and found a guy marching towards them. 

Trisha rolled her eyes finding the guy and looked away from him.

Roli giggled at her as she whispered "here comes you lover boy". While trisha glared at her. 

"Hey! Varun, long time no see" roli smiled as the guy reached them. 

"Was out of mumbai for shooting. Just returned yesterday. And how you both are doing?" Varun asked, glancing at trisha, who wasn't looking at him. He was one of the young actors of the industry. 

"I'm super good. But, trisha seems to be not okay, you got to take care of her" roli said winking at trisha as she turned around and walked away, leaving trisha in a helpless state behind. 

As roli walked away and stood at a corner all by herself, distinct chatters arose in the hall. She turned to look what it was for, a familiar figure appeared walking in to the hall as the camera's flashed clicking numerous pictures of the person. 

"Siddhant bharadwaj!" Someone shouted out with all excitement. 

Attention of every single person present there in the hall was grabbed by sid as he walked in his black formal blazer, looking absolutely dashing. 

Many people went up to sid with flower bouquets to greet him, which he accepted with a slight nod and gave to his secretary, sumit, who was standing right next to him. 

"Welcome to India Mr.Siddhant. We're glad you're here with us today" one of the directors welcomed as he lead the way to the seating arrangements in the hall. 

"Thank you" sid replied with his usual calmness as he followed him. 

A little while later everyone got back to their places as sid got settled in the couch along with some of the big personalities of the industry. 

Roli, who was still standing at the same corner, looked around for trisha. She really wanted to beat trisha up for forcing her to attend the party where she had to face sid now.

While roli was searching for Trisha, she got bumped in to Mr.kurana. 

"Roli, good I found you, I was searching for you" Mr.kurana said. 

"Why me?" Roli asked a bit impatiently as she wanted to leave the party. 

"Come with me" Mr.kurana said before started walking away. 

Roli had a lot of respect for Mr kurana as he was the one who helped her initially when she had decided to enter this industry. Thus, even though she wasn't interested, she still followed him behind. 

Only after reaching the place did roli realize that she came to the place where sid was being seated. 

"Mr.siddhant, she's the one whom I've told you about" Mr.kurana said pointing at roli. 

Sid, who casually turned when he heard his name, was surprised to find roli standing before him. Mr kurana only said that he'd be introducing a young actress to him. But, sid didn't expect that young actress to be his roli. 

While roli too was shocked as she stared at sid. She wasn't expecting sid to be the person about whom Mr.kurana had mentioned. 

Sid got up from his place, took a few steps and stood before roli. His gaze automatically turned soft as he watched her. 

"I must tell her acting skills are amazing. She's one of the finest actors I've come across. I'd suggest her for your upcoming movie" Mr.kurana's words brought roli back to reality. 

Roli looked away from sid and cursed herself for staring at him till now. While sid was still gazing at her with tenderness in his eyes. 

"I've watched her acting. She's indeed good" sid spoke calmly, without taking his eyes off of roli. 

He watched my acting? Roli looked at sid in surprise. 

On the very day akash told sid about roli choosing acting career, sid searched for the show she had acted and watched all of her scenes skipping everything else. He was truly impressed by her skills. 

"You've already watched" even Mr.kurana was surprised. Giving Sid's personality, he was a busy person with lots of things to handle. Sid watching a daily soap was surprising him. 

"Then can we finalize her for the movie?" Mr.kurana asked politely. 

While sid nodded as 'yes', still his eyes were fixed on roli and didn't move away from her even for a second. 

"Wow! Congratulations, roli" Mr.kurana turned to roli with beaming happiness. 

"Thanks for thinking about me. But, I don't want to do it" roli said, shocking everyone present there. 

"What are you talking, roli. This is such a great opportunity for you" Mr.kurana said as he wondered why roli was rejecting such an offer. 

"Actually, I don't want to act anymore. I'm quitting it. So, I don't need this opportunity" roli stated her decision. 

All the people present there were watching roli with widened eyes. Everybody out there was waiting for the opportunities and here she just rejected such a golden opportunity without a second thought. They even thought roli was crazy for knocking down the opportunity to work with sid. 

"But, what happened suddenly?" Mr.kurana looked at roli in confusion. 

"I just don't want to do this. That's it. I'm sorry" roli said to Mr.kurana as she turned around and left the place, leaving everyone else there in utter shock. 

While sid calmly watched as she left from there. He wasn't shocked like everybody else there. In fact, he was actually expecting the same reaction from her. 

The reason roli wanted to be in the entertainment industry was only because of sid. She thought to be an actor so that she could reach sid some day as she hadn't had any personal contact of him to reach him directly. 

And now when he was near her, she didn't need to continue that anymore. As sid already expected it, he wouldn't want to make her do anything which she didn't want. So, he didn't stop her when she rejected the offer.
