Arnav hesitated, taking a deep breath before speaking. "I need to talk to you about something important. Something that affects both of us."

Khushi's heart skipped a beat. What could it be? Was it about Kashish? Was he going to tell her that he was engaged?

IN CAFE

Arnav asks in a calm tone "What is going on Khushi?"

Khushi's eyes widened in confusion as Arnav teased her. "What are you talking about?" she asked, laughing nervously.

Arnav grinned mischievously. "Don't play dumb, Khushi. My parents told me that your parents came to talk to them about our engagement."

Khushi's face turned bright red as she realized the misunderstanding. "Oh no, Arnav, it's not what you think!" she exclaimed.

Arnav's grin faltered, and he looked at her with a hint of confusion. "What do you mean? Didn't your parents come to talk to mine about us getting engaged?"

Khushi's eyes dropped, and she remained silent, her lips pressed together. She didn't confirm or deny Arnav's statement, choosing instead to keep quiet.

Arnav's eyes narrowed, his gaze piercing as he tried to read Khushi's expression. "Khushi, what's going on? Why didn't you tell me about this?" he asked, his voice low and urgent.

Khushi still didn't respond, her silence speaking volumes. Arnav's face fell, and he looked away, his jaw clenched in frustration.

Arnav asks again "If this was the case then why did you reject my proposal the other day?"

The air was thick with tension as the two sat there, the silence between them heavy with unspoken words. Arnav's eyes snapped back to Khushi's face, searching for answers, but she remained quiet, her secrets locked safely behind her enigmatic smile.

Arnav wanted to be straight forward "Are you not happy about us getting engaged? Are your parents forcing you in this matter?"

Khushi was finding it hard. Arnav had already confessed his love towards her. She knew he wont like to get engaged with Kashish but she did not want to give her sister one more chance to fight with her. So, she decided to keep quite and not let him know the truth.

Khushi's eyes darted away, avoiding Arnav's intense gaze. She fidgeted with her hands, her fingers intertwining in a nervous gesture.

Arnav's voice was laced with a hint of vulnerability. "Khushi, please tell me. Are you not happy about us getting engaged?"

Khushi's lips pressed together, forming a tight line. She couldn't bring herself to respond, fearing that her words might spark another confrontation with Kashish.

The silence between them grew thicker, heavy with unspoken emotions. Arnav's eyes searched Khushi's face, seeking answers, but she remained stoic, her expression a mask of calmness.

Arnav's face fell, his eyes clouding over with disappointment. He pushed his chair back, standing up abruptly. "I think I've got my answer," he said, his voice tinged with sadness.

Khushi's eyes snapped up, meeting Arnav's gaze, but she still didn't speak. The air was thick with tension as Arnav turned to leave, the sound of his footsteps echoing through the café, leaving Khushi alone with her thoughts.

Arnav walked out of the café, his heart heavy with sadness. He couldn't understand why Khushi didn't want to get engaged to him. Hadn't he confessed his love for her? Hadn't she felt the same way?

He replayed their conversation in his mind, trying to make sense of it all. Khushi's silence had spoken volumes, and Arnav couldn't shake off the feeling that he had been rejected for the second time.

As he walked, the city streets blurred around him. He felt lost and alone, his mind consumed by thoughts of Khushi. Why didn't she want to be with him?

Unaware of the reality, Arnav assumed that Khushi didn't reciprocate his feelings. Little did he know, Khushi's silence was not a rejection, but a desperate attempt to avoid conflict with her sister.

Khushi's eyes welled up with tears as she imagined Arnav exchanging vows with Kashish. She felt a pang of jealousy, followed by a deep sense of loss. She had never realized how much Arnav meant to her until now.

Khushi's heart ached as she thought about the future. She would have to watch Arnav and Kashish together, pretending to be happy for them. She would have to attend their wedding, smile through the ceremony, and congratulate them on their union.

The thought was almost too much to bear. Khushi felt like she was losing her best friend, her confidant, and the love of her life. She didn't know how she would get through this, but she knew she had to try.

Arnav had found himself thinking about Khushi constantly. He missed her bright smile, her infectious laughter, and her unwavering support. He missed the way she would congratulate him on his wins, and the way she would lift his spirits when he lost. For the first time in his illustrious cricket career, he felt that his achievements meant nothing without someone special to share them with - Khushi.

As he walked into his living room, exhausted but exhilarated from the training tour, Arnav was looking forward to spending some quality time with his loved ones. He spotted his family members, all of whom were beaming with pride and eager to welcome him home. But Khushi was nowhere to be seen, and Arnav's heart sank slightly at her absence. Little did he know, Khushi was going through her own emotional turmoil, and their reunion would be more complicated than he had anticipated.

"Mom, Khushi did not come?" he asked, trying to sound casual despite the growing sense of disappointment.

Ratna's expression turned sympathetic. "Arnav, beta, Khushi's been a bit busy lately. She's been helping her sister with engagement preparations."

Arnav's eyes widened in surprise, and a smile spread across his face. "Kashish is also getting engaged? Finally....at least I can marry Khushi easily," he muttered, feeling a sense of relief and excitement.

But before he could express his thoughts, his father, Arvind, cleared his throat, a serious expression on his face. "Arnav, beta, there's something we need to talk about."

Arnav's instincts told him that something was off. "What is it, Papa?" he asked, his voice laced with a sense of trepidation.

Arvind hesitated before speaking. "Arnav, we had a discussion with the Gupta's while you were away. We thought the alliance was for Khushi and agreed but they had brought the proposal for Kashish. It was too late when I realised the mistake. Sorry Arnav."

Arnav's eyes felt like they were going to pop out of their sockets as he processed the bombshell his father had just dropped. "What...what do you mean, Papa? And you are telling me this now?" he stuttered, his voice shaking with rage and disappointment.

Arvind's expression was apologetic, but Arnav didn't care. "I mean, I thought we were discussing an alliance between you and Khushi, but it turns out the Guptas had proposed Kashish's name instead. I didn't realize the mistake until it was too late."

Arnav felt like he had been punched in the gut. His heart, which had been soaring with excitement just moments before, now felt like it had been shattered into a million pieces. He couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"You mean to tell me that I'm engaged to Kashish?" Arnav's voice was barely above a whisper, but it was laced with a deadly intensity.

Arvind nodded, looking sheepish. "I'm sorry, Arnav. I know this isn't what you wanted."

Arnav's eyes flashed with anger, but he didn't say a word. He just turned and walked away, leaving his mother Ratna staring after him in shock.

As Arnav walked away, his mind was reeling with questions. Was Khushi aware of the engagement plans between him and Kashish? Was that why she had been so quiet and distant at the café?

He thought back to their conversation, and how Khushi had seemed hesitant and evasive. He had assumed she was rejecting him, but now he wondered if she had been trying to avoid telling him about the engagement plans with Kashish.

SPOILER - Arnav will make Khushi to fight for their bond. Please wait as there is not sacrifice plot coming.
