Attending the WorldCup Finals
Raj's face turned stern, but Khushi stood her ground. "I'm sorry, Papa, but I've made up my mind. I'm not coming back home."
The room fell silent, with all eyes on Khushi. Arnav, however, beamed with pride, his eyes shining with admiration for Khushi's courage at this small age.
Kashish was angry about this stand of Khushi as she had planned to break Arnav and Khushi's friendship once Khushi came back home. Her face twisted in anger, her eyes blazing with resentment. She had been counting on Khushi's return to drive a wedge between Arnav and Khushi, and now her plan was foiled.
She glared at Khushi, her voice dripping with venom. "You're making a big mistake, Khushi. You're throwing away your chance to be part of this family and stay with us."
Arnav's eyes narrowed, his expression warning Kashish to back off. "That's enough, Kashish. Khushi has made her decision, and we should respect it." after a pause he speaks "Whether she stays with you all or not she would always be part of family" looks at Khushi parents "Am I right uncle, aunty?"
Raj and Nalini just noded in a yes. Kashish's anger and frustration hanging in the air like a challenge. But Khushi and Arnav stood firm, united in their determination to support each other, no matter what.
***********************************************************************************************The Indian Under-19 cricket team had a great run in the World Cup, and Arnav, being the youngest player, didn't get to play all matches in the playing 11. However, he made a significant impact in the matches he did play, leaving a mark on the tournament .
India team was in finals. Khushi's 10th standard exams were also over. All of them planned to go and attend the finals. Then have a small trip around Australia where the finals was held. Kashish was excited for this. She wanted to get close to Arnav.
The excitement was palpable as the family made plans to attend the Under-19 World Cup finals in Australia. Khushi was thrilled that her 10th standard exams were over, and she could finally relax and have some fun.
As the family buzzed with excitement, Kashish couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation. She had been waiting for this trip for weeks, and the prospect of exploring Australia with her family was exhilarating.
Khushi, on the other hand, was more focused on supporting Arnav, who would be playing in the finals. She had always been his biggest cheerleader, and she couldn't wait to see him in action on the big stage.Raj and Nalini were busy making travel arrangements and booking accommodations.
Arnav was focused on his game, visualizing every possible scenario and strategizing with his team about the big final which was coming up.
As the departure date drew near, the excitement reached a fever pitch. Khushi and Kashish spent hours packing and repacking their bags, arguing over who would get to sit by the window on the plane. Kashish never left a chance to irritate Khushi.
Arnav, meanwhile, was a picture of calm concentration, his eyes fixed on the prize. He knew that this was his moment, and he was determined to make the most of it.
As they prepared to embark on their Australian adventure, the family was filled with a sense of anticipation and excitement. Little did they know, this trip would be one they would never forget.
Arnav's excitement was palpable as he prepared for the Under-19 World Cup finals. Being part of the playing 11 in this match was a huge honor, and he couldn't wait to share this moment with Khushi, who had been his rock since childhood.
On the other hand little did Khushi know, Arnav's parents had kept her attendance at the finals a secret, making it an even more special surprise. The match itself was scheduled to take place at 9:50 AM IST, with India facing off against Australia.
Rohan, the Indian captain, approached Arnav with a curious expression. "Hey, Arnav, I've heard a lot about your lucky mascot, Khushi. Is she going to be here for the finals?"
Arnav's face fell, and he looked uncertain. "I don't think so, Rohan. I haven't heard from her, and I don't think she's coming." but somewhere in his mind and heart he wanted her to come and cheer for him and the team.
Rohan nodded sympathetically. "That's too bad. We could use all the luck we can get. Maybe she'll be watching from home and sending us positive vibes."
Arnav smiled wistfully, hoping that Khushi would indeed be watching and cheering him on. Little did he know, his parents had a surprise in store for him, and Khushi was going to be there to watch him play in the finals.
As Arnav's parents, Khushi's parents, and Kashish arrived to meet him before the match, Arnav's eyes scanned the group eagerly, searching for one person in particular - Khushi.
His face lit up with a bright smile as he spotted Khushi standing behind her parents, looking a bit shy but also excited. She was getting some speacial feeling towards Arnav which she had kep a secret. Arnav's eyes locked onto hers, and he felt a surge of happiness and calm wash over him.
Khushi's eyes met Arnav's, and she smiled back at him, her shyness momentarily forgotten. Arnav's parents, noticing the exchange, exchanged a warm glance, happy to see their son so joyful.
Arnav quickly made his way over to Khushi, his eyes never leaving hers. "You're here!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with excitement.
Khushi nodded, her smile growing wider. "I'm here," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.
Arnav's face lit up with happiness as he hugged Khushi tightly. "I'm so glad you're here," he whispered in her ear. "You're my good luck charm."
Khushi's eyes sparkled with delight as she hugged him back. "I'll always be here for you, Arnav," she replied, her voice filled with emotion. But she soon got shy about the hug they shared and looked awkwardly at Ratna who was smiling. Khushi quickly went to Ratna and stood beside.
Kashish's voice dripped with criticism. "I thought you'd play all the matches, Arnav. Other players have gotten more recognition than you. You need to step up your game." She was annoyed about the hug Arnav and Khushi shared.
Arnav's expression remained calm, but a hint of frustration flickered in his eyes. Before Kashish could continue, Raj intervened.
"Kashish, come with me," Raj said firmly, steering Kashish away.
Arnav's parents followed, leaving Arnav alone with Khushi. As soon as they were out of earshot, Khushi turned to Arnav with a reassuring smile.
"Don't mind what Kashish said," Khushi said softly. "Playing in the World Cup at 17 is an incredible achievement. You should be proud of yourself." He smiled at Khushi, feeling grateful for her unwavering support. "Thanks, Khushi. You always know how to make me feel better. Just having you here means a lot to me."
Khushi's eyes sparkled with warmth as she smiled back at him. "I'll always be here for you, Arnav. You're an amazing player, and I know you'll do great things. Just go out there and enjoy the game!"
