Chapter : A Chance Encounter

A few weeks have passed , and Rajveer frequently checks on Vrishti's wellbeing. Their friendship grew stronger than before, like a beautiful garden flourishing with each Passing day with lots of care and affection.

It was another day, and Rajveer was called upon as the chief guest for a fashion exhibition. The bright lights and pulsating music of the event enveloped him, but his mind wandered to Vrishti, his thoughts of her as relentless as the beat of the music.

As he scanned the crowded hall, his eyes struck upon a model . The old memories resurface like a tidal wave crashing against the shore. The wound was excruciating so deep and firm stabbing that pierced his heart once again and the whisper of agony seemed to echo through his mind .

In an instant when Shanaya's attention grabbed Rajveer's presence in the hall, her eyes were burning with intensity. She was searching for an opportunity to meet him, her ex-boyfriend.

She called out to him , her voice husky and seductive. However, Rajveer didn't flinch . He stood tall, his expression impassive, his eyes cold and unyielding. Shanaya's eyes narrowed, her voice dripping with venom as she sidled up to him.

Shanaya leaned in, a smirk playing on her lips as she attempted to peel back the layers of Rajveer’s guarded demeanor .The betrayal she had given to him nothing can soothe them. During the conversation she asked something that provoked Rajveer's vulnerability that would only heightened Shanaya's ego.

Shanaya's eyes narrowed, her voice dripping with venom. "So, you've moved on to someone else, Rajveer? Vrishti, is it? I can't help but think she's just a temporary distraction, a way to soothe your ego." Her voice dripped with a mix of disdain and challenge, each word laced with the venom of their shared past.

Rajveer's expression remained steely, betraying none of the emotions that roiled beneath the surface . His gaze was unyielding, a stark contrast to the chaos of feelings that Shanaya’s presence had stirred within him

"Vristhi is not just someone else, Shanaya. She's the love of my life. And I won't allow you or anyone else for our matter, to come between us."

Shanaya sneered, her lips curling. "Oh, please. You're just infatuated with her. You'll come crawling back to me when you realize she's not worth it."

Rajveer's smile was harsh, his words biting. "I'd rather die than come back to you, Shanaya. You cheated on me, lied to me, and broke my trust. As I'm glad for that unless I'll never meet Vrishti, who knows how to give value of relationship, trust , “

Shanaya's face reddened, her eyes flashing with anger. "You're just mad because you've got a new woman in your bed, Vrishti. But I'll always be the one you truly desire."

Rajveer's laughter was mocking, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Desire you? You're the last person I'd ever desire. I'm in love with Vristhi. I'm going to marry her . And soon, I'll make sure you're advertising our future children's clothing on TV. That's the only way you'll ever be associated with me again."

Shanaya's face reddened with humiliations, her eyes widening in shock. She knew she had lost Rajveer forever, and the realization burned within her like a fire.

Rajveer felt the walls he had built around his heart solidified further, determined not to let Shanaya’s spiteful provocation breach them again. He knew that behind her confident facade lay a desperate need to reclaim the hold she once had over him, but he was resolute in his commitment to move forward, no matter how hard she pushed

The music and laughter of the exhibition seemed to recede into the background, leaving only the two of them, locked in a silent standoff.
