Chapter : 5
Kria slowly sat back on her bad, still smiling, at she alone knew what, when her phone suddenly rang, taking all her attention.
"Sharon" Kria squealed...a little out of excitement and a little out of worry, picking up the call.
"Kriaaa" Sharon complained about her loud voice.
"Acha baba sorry" kria replied calming down. "Ab batao kya hua, why did you four have to leave"
"Tum swayam se puch lena" Kria could feel there was something fishy, and she could even feel her being embarrassed and mayb blushing. "waise how was your night after we left?" though sharon continued before Kria could say a word, and it was her turn to blush now.
"Kya Sharon?" Kria said embarrassed. "Kya Sharon?" Sharon mimicked Kria "
"Arrggghhh!! Say na kya hua hai? come on babe I won't threaten you, would I?"
"Yeah exactly would ya, hell yes"
"Okay I won't, get saying already now"
"Okay, me, Swayam, Neha and Vicky's are getting engaged"
"Kisse?"
"Buddhu, meri Swayam se, aur Neha ki Vicky se"
"Ohhh...KYA???" "Kab? kaise? kahan? aap sab ne uncle aunty ko kab bataya?"
"Woh, those two took us home, mom dad se milwaane"
"Ohmigod! and why did I never know about it...but hey I still can't believe it, my official bhabhi(s)" "Damn!"
"Kriaaa" sharon yet again whined out of embarrassment.
"Gawd! when do things start?" "we need to get started with everything tomorrow morning itself" and Kria continued "aur bhai aur neha ko i'll see tomorrow, well you four I'm giving you all a real hard time"
"Rey kaafi nahi that kya, ki tu bhi?"
"Rey?" Kria asked more feeling mesmerized by name, rather than knowing, what sharon was talking about. Kria now was all lost, she was staring at the moon, like she would get to see Rey's face somewhere in that big round ball like thing. she started twirling her hair around her finger, and probably everything, she would have never thought to do.
Oh wanna know where it starts from, well simple enough, it starts from being mesmerized by a guy "Rey", then dancing, don't forget, it was nowhere near formal you people, then allowing him to be a friend in a night, not even a whole day to be said, and well believing him over her safety, and smiling like an idiot, just by mere thought of him. Though things don't finish here. How? keep going, you'll know.
"Kriaaa" Sharon shouted as loud as her voice allowed her. "Aaahhh" Kria shouted as well in respond to Sharon's loud voice, also making her loose her grip on her phone as she jumped a little, making her fumble with her phone, jumbling it somewhere between both her hands, trying to catch it back. "Kya hua?? Chilla kyon rahi ho?" She continued once she somehow got hold of her poor little phone.
"Toh kya karoon??" Sharon backfired. "What do you mean kya karoon? Aise bhi koi chilata hai, mujhe kuch ho jata toh? Abhi toh maine ek bhi boyfriend nahi banaya hai" Kria retorted.
"Kriaaa" Sharon said shocked "Tu kabse boyfriend banane main interested ho gayi? You, till where I remember, used to hate all this and used to find it bullshit, dint you? What has gott3en into you babe?" Sharon now felt like she knew what was going on, after all, she had same phase of life. "A-a-a-" and her voice trailed of while stammering.
"aaa..hoagay?" "accept it Kria, you do like Rey. At this Kria's eyes widened and she again started stammering, making Sharon roll her eyes and make face at her. "Shut up Kria, you know I know you and also that you can trust me, come on, don't do this to me, to yourself, give us and you two a chance, just once." Sharon was now frustrated.
"Fine, yes I feel different about him, he take me to another world in every sense, but I don't know if it's love, or even anything nearby it. Now how am I supposed to accept something I don't know?" Kria was so annoyed, cuz she dint know how she felt, which never happened before, at least never because of a guy. Not a single lad could do this to her.
"Okay, let's have a test" "Test? what test?" "A test to see how far you've gone with feeling about Rey" "This is taking us nowhere Sharon." "Can you for once believe me?" Kria sighed and agreed to Sharon.
"jealousy?" "check"
"day-dreaming?" "check"
"making you feel better and confident?" "double check"
"you believe him?" "to death"
"makes you blush or smile, mere by thoughts, let alone presence?" "mmm...I hate it but check" "oh so you hate it?" "yes!" "then why're you blushing right now?" "Sharonnn" Kriya whined "oops! I mean bhabhi" she never left her chance, now making sharon blush. Know she won, Kria giggled.
Back to point, sharon said sternly. "makes you feel the most beautiful girl" "hmm..without saying a word" "hmmm good going" sharon teases.
"Makes you feel safe" "just like nobody else, family apart"
"When he's around, time flows like water, blows like air?" "Oh! Gawd! yes!" "not bad Kria"
"Makes you feel wanted, most important, and well everything you want to feel around your dream guy?" "Yes yes yes, oh yes! he does it all, now what, what does happen even if so?"
"Pretty simple, it proves how badly you are in love with him" "Ooohhh! Love at first sight"
"Sharonn" Kria whined yet again "But even if so, it does not make him like me."
"No worries, I'll find that out as well.
"Kaise?"
"Leave that on me"
"Okay"
"Accha, Sharon, when does everything start again?" "I wanna be there soonest posible, it's so much to do"
"Engagement this week and marriage's next week"
"oooe..chat mangni pat bya types han?" both giggled at it "Okay I'll be there tomorrow, bye" "bye"
'It was the best surprise Universeji' Kria murmured laying on the bed and as soon as her back hit the cold bed, she fell asleep.
"Morning baby" a voice lingered in Kria's ears.
"Morning" Kria said into her pillow, wanting to avoid the sunlight. But the number of voices started increasing, from one to two to three and it became more like blabbering and loud muffled voice, which started to annoy her and she got up irritated.
"Why so loud?" "Uh-oh" Kria said smiling embarrassed. "Sorry?" But all she got in return were two angry faces and one pitying her.
"Oh come on I was hell tired, dint even get around the time, and I-I promise I did set an alarm, but this stupid thing never rang" Kria tried to protect herself, while picking the alarm clock up and hitting it somewhere around it's back. But nothing, their were still the same expression-ed faces, rather now two had their hands crossed at their chest as well.
"Can you not? Stop giving me that silent treatment of yours, would you?" now things were getting away her innocence, but ouch! little did things work in a good way. "And shut up, would you?" stressing the last word. "But.." "I said shut up" "Sharonnn" Kria whined.
"No, that does not help your situation much, so stop giving those puppy faces of yours baby" Neha complained. "Come on ya guys, I was seriously tired" "Oh! absolutely we saw that, Smriti Aunty we'll leave" Sharon said turning her attention from Kria. "Mom, roko na" to which Smriti simply shrugs, with sorry filled expression.
"Arrggghhh, Sharon, Neha, STOP, I say" this time Kria ran and almost yelled into their faces, just that they weren't facing her.
"What is it now Kria?" Neha got furious as well, but Sharon held her by her arm, attending Kria, folding her hands after.
"Gahh...why so diva?" to which Sharons eyes went more thin on her, her head tilted, anger filling her face" "Fineee, I'm sorry, what am I now supposed to dooo" Kria whined.
"We're waiting for you down stairs, down there, half an hour" "Gosh! you're so tough"
"Go, 29 minutes" "Aaahh, mama, please could you help me with clothes?"
"Nobody helps, Smriti Aunty comes with us, help your self"
"You're so...I've haven't even got anything now. FINE."
29 minutes: "Reached" Kria yelled out of breath running down the stairs." "A minute earlier, not bad"
Without a stop the treatment kept going on for around an hour, so an hour and half now was how long, she's been trying to keep things good, but no use.
Now Kria started leaving from there, picking her stuffs up. "Kria??" Sharon called confused. "What now?" Kria said cold, not turning around.
"Where are you going?" "Somewhere I'm supposed to be at, and somewhere I wouldn't be ignored, just cuz I was tired, rather, they'll ask me to sleep"
"Oh so to your brothers?"
"I'm sorry if you've got doubts"
"why're you acting like that?"
"Why am I acting like that, I Sharon? Really now?" "Who was being ignored for a whole lot of an hour and a half, me. Who was pleading? Me. who was overreacting? you two." "You've made it all hell for me, why is it so difficult for you two to calm your heads down? I dint commit a crime, just a mistake, but no, it's like you don't wan to understand, or even better, you love to see me like this." "you know what, I think I'll leave, I don't want you to think wrong of me" with that she started walking out.
"Arrggghhh! Kria wait, please" sharon called to which kria did stop walking, but does not turn around "we're sorry, we're stressed and so much at the same time, I don't how I did this to you"
"yeah Kria, we're sorry...shouldn't have done this" but Kria still does not turn around and so both Sharon and Neha walk on her either side and finds the actual reason of her not turning. It was her tears, she was crying, this got tears into both their eyes as well.
"Damn Kria we're sorry, we dint know we've hurt you that bad" sharon said with tears flowing down. And in one swift moment Kria turns around and hugs Sharon, Neha imitating, hugging them both from side.
"ek shart pe" kria said with her head still buried into Sharon's shoulder "what?" Sharon asked.
"Pizza treat, which you two are not allowed to eat" Kria demanded, smiling broad and evil.
"Kria noway!" neha whined "okay then i'll leave"
"Arrrgghhh! fine! you get it!!"
Pizza treat finished with Kria teasing them both and eating it all alone.
It got afternoon laughing, teasing and doing chit chats. Three of 'em left for shopping and got all the stuff they needed for engagement as well as marriage. While Rey, Swayam and Vicky did the same.
time passed like wind...it was already evening, they ate all the unhealthy things they found on street sides. And now more than ever they were sitting down on the floor of Sharon and Neha's hall with their ordered junk food.
No! Those people who say during marriage girls get more conscious is wrong, or at least wrong when implied on these girl, they enjoyed all their time while boys on the other hand felt the need of a real sleep and they all slept on the sofa, chair, carpet, floor, or anything relevant or irrelevant they found around themselves, with the shopping bags still around them, messed up!
Did I say everyone slept?? I'm sorry.
A air of eyes were just staring at the wall. He was lying down half on the carpet, half on floor, with his right leg pulled on the the side sofa, hands crossed at his chest. Annoyance, happiness, anger all prominent on his face, on after the other.
Annoyed, because he couldn't sleep, anger because of the reason he couldn't sleep, happy because of the thoughts of that one person.
"Neha, neha deko meri ice-cream wapas dedo, mujhe bhook lagi hai yaar, khane do na please" Vicky murmured into sleep, causing rey to giggle a little at his stupidity and his food-alcoholism.
' Not even a minute passed when I dint miss you, but it is only that I don't know why? what is it that reminds me of you every second Kria? what?'
"Rey?" a voice came.
"ha-haan?"
"Kya kar raha hai tu, neend nahi aa rahi kya?"
"Aa rahi hai, swayam tu so ja" to which swayam shook his head and closed his mildly opened eyes, going back to sleep.
'dude this is so bad! No I can't see you and NO! I can't push you out of my head as well. Why such great tragic situation am I in?'
'Jesus help me'
Somehow rey managed to go to sleep and the sleep mustn't have been for very long and relaxing cuz when he woke up his eyes took a whole of 15 minutes to adjust to the light, and a sore eye and body-ache and all the bags and also the two idiots still lying around him.
"Abe o! utho guys! Kya? Engagement kiski hai, meri ya tum dono ki? sara ka sara tabela bech ke so rahe ho tum dono toh"
"Dude kya hai? kyon paka raha hai subah subah?" vicky murmured in sleep
"Main paka raha hoon? abe saalon, 7o'clock ka mahurat hai, aur abhi itna sab kuch karna hai, khade ho jao tum dono"
"tu toh aise chilla raha hai jaise 12 baj gaye" now Swayam murmured into his sleepy voice.
"Nahi nahi 12 nahi baje"
"toh phir, sone de" swayam and vicky said one by one
"12 nahi baje hain, 2 baj gaye hain"
"ohh 2...what??" them both pulled their covers off and jumped off of their existing places.
"Haan...ab neend udi?"
"chup kar yaar...chal swayam bahut sara work hai"
"Uth gaye tum theeno?" Swayam and Vicky's mom called from behind.
"Haan mom"
"kab se utha rahi hoon, chalo jaldi karo"
"ji mom"
Here Kria got Sharon and Neha ready, and there Rey did the same, it was already 6 and it was time for them to meet up.
As soon as they reached, Sharon and Neha's moms welcomed them (Sharon and Neha are cousins) when both the majnus went crazy looking at their going to be brides, Rey and Kria were hell busy with the work of marriage, due to which they dint even meet each other.
Kria's POV:
Rey dint leave my mind for even a second, and if nothing, I knew for all that I fancy Rey. And I'm happy that I'll be able to see him. (But even after 2 hours of ceremony they couldn't meet) Arggghhh!! kya hai universeji, Bahut-din-ho-gaye-chalo-kriya-ko-torture-karte-hain-mode main kyon aa jate ho aap?
Rey's Pov:
Kria hai kahan? kahin bhi nahi dikh rahi, poore ghar main kahin bhi nahi, kab se dhoond raha hoon main use, pata nahi kya kar diya hai usne mujhe ki use bhool hi nahi pa raha hoon
After all the time that passed Kria was feeling too low to anymore enjoy, absence of Rey was really getting to her, her eyes only kept searching for him, plastering a fake smile on her face. And Rey was lost as well, he would just smile when someone talked but otherwise, he was jut physically here, with his eyes searching for Kria.

I personally hate this chapter, let's see how did you guys feel about it. As well shorter than other chapter, but I'm sorry, if I have disappointed you, but my college bring out the worst from me, really. Hope you guys will still like it.
