Chapter 10.

Ankit walked up to them.

A- maine bulaya hai in log ko papa.

S.D- Ankit tumne (even more confused)

A- Ha papa. Sameer ne joh sanyukta ke sath kiya uske baad isse saza toh milne hi chahiye. Bas isilye.

P- Hum aapki beti ka statement lene aaye hai. Usse hamare sath police station chalna hoga.

A- aap jaaye mai sanyu ko lekar aata hu.

Randhir was watching all this from the door.

P- ha agar koi witness bhi ho toh acha hoga.

A- ji theek hai.

The police leave from there. Randhir looked at sanyukta's confused face. He smiled looking at her. She couldn't believe what her brother had done.

Sanyu's dad turns towards ankit.

S.D- police ko batane ki kya zaroorat thi. Yeh ghar ki baatein bahar leke jaane ka kya matlab hai ankit. (he shouted on ankit)

A- zaroorat thi papa. Aaj sanyu thi kal koi aur. Agar usse saza nahi milti toh pata nahi who kitni ladkiyon ke sath aise karta.

Sanyu's dad leaves from there angrily.

Not that he cared for his daughter but he was worried about his status in the society.

Ankit turned towards sanyukta and smiled. She smiled back. She was more than elated. She felt proud of her brother. He must be a good for nothing guy, but he was her brother, and what he did today changed sanyukta's perspective towards her brother.

Ankit and sanyukta left for the police station. Randhir accompanied them as witness.

@ The police station.

They reached there and found sameer in lock up. His expression changed as he saw them walk in. the havaldaar brought sameer out. sanyukta and randhir gave their statements. The inspector did all the formalities and asked the halvaldaar to take sameer back. Sanyukta stopped him. Randhir and ankit wondered what she was upto now.

Sanyukta went and stood in front of sameer. She looked at him ferociously. Sle slapped him hard on his face. The sound was enough to catch everybody's attention in the police station. Even the inspector stood there shocked.

S- (pointing at sameer) dobara kisi ladki ko chedne se pehle yeh thappad ko hazaar baar yaad karlena.

(she said with immense anger in her tone)

Randhir was surprised. He held his cheek in reflex when she slapped sameer. He remembered how she had slapped him in the lab. This was worse than that. He mumbled under his breath, " yeh ladki se bachke rehna padenga". He smiled looking at her. his lioness was back with a bang.

@ Agarwal mansion

Randhir had been hurt badly so he was asked to rest for the day. Ankit and sanyu's dad leave for office. Randhir went to his room and sanyukta went to her mom in the kitchen.

@ Afternoon

Sanyu and her mom prepared lunch. Sanyukta asked her mom to take rest as she was working since morning. Sanyu's mom asked her to take lunch for randhir as he had skipped his breakfast also. She agrees and her mom leaves. She prepares the plate and goes to his room.

Randhir was on the bed studying. She knocked at the door. An engrossed randhir didn't hear the knock. Sanyukta walked in with the plate in her hand. Randhir was surprised to see her there. He closed his book and asked her what she was doing here.

S- who maa ne kaha tha ki tumne naasta bhi nahi kiya tha ... Toh isiliye yeh khaana layi hu.

R- theek hai tum isse table pe rakh do mai kha lunga.

She went to the table and put the plate , she saw that there were bandages and ointments lying there. It clicked her that he was hurt yesterday and randhir being randhir wouldn't have taken care of the wound. She went to him with the bandages and ointments.

S- tumhari chot kaise hai ab

R- (hiding his hand) ha .. ha ... theek hai.

S- acha... dikhao mujhe..

R- uski koi zaroorat nahi hai.

S- zaroorat hai.

She goes closer to him, pulls his hand outside the blanket. He pulls his hand back.

S- theek hai...???? Tumne toh ispe davayi bhi nahi lagayi. Theek kaise hogi aur yeh tumhari sar ki chot ( looking at his forehead) uski bhi dressing change nahi ki.

R- relax farzi (getting up) mai apna dhyan rakh sakta hu. Tum jao yahan se.

S- oh really?? Mujhe pata hai kitna dhyan rakte ho... yaha baitho tum (she makes him sit) mai kar deti hu.

R- (standing up again) maine kaha na mai khud kardunga. Mujhe rank 300 ki zaroorat nahi hai.

S- (making him sit again) Mr. randhir singh shekawat shaya tum bhul rahe ho mai rank 300 nahi rank 2 hu(she said it proudly) aur tumhe meri help ki zaroorat hai. Rank 1 ho toh kya... Tum sab kuch akele nahi kar sakte samjhe..

R- mai sab kuch kar sakta hu..

S- achaa toh phir ab tak kiya kyu nahi.. chot toh kal raat ko lagi thin a..

Randhir was tongue tied.

R- woo.. mai.. woo

S- woo.. mai.. woo (mimicking him)

Tum kuch der ke liye apna yeh MCPness chod nahi sakte and maan kyu nahi lete ki tumhe help ki zaroorat hai.

R- (mcp mode) he stands up. Mujhe tumhari koi zaroorat nahi hai. Kaha na maine.

Sanyukta now glares at him. He becomes quiet and sits down like an obedient school going kid. He knew he had lost the argument to this farzi.

She carefully moves his hair from the the wound and removes the bandage. He shouts in pain.

R- pagal hogai ho tum.. itni zor se koi karta hai kya.

S- sorry sorry woo mai..

R- its ok

She comes closer to him and cleans the wound with cotton and blows air to soothe the pain. Randhir was staring at her throughout. He was lost in her beauty, those brown eyes. He could see care for him in those eyes.

she took his hand and dressed the wound. He couldn't feel the pain the wound gave him. He was mesmerized by her. she dressed it neatly.

S- hogaya (she said throwing the waste aside)

She didn't hear any reply. She looked at him he was still staring at her. for a moment even she was lost in his eyes. She could see something for her in his eyes. She couldn't understand what it was. She broke her trance

S- Randhir...

Still no reply

She snapped in front of him breaking his trance. He looked everywhere else except her. she sighed and went towards the table to keep the ointments. She saw the plate on the table. She realised that the wound was on his right and he wouldn't be able to eat. That's why maybe he skipped breakfast too. She took the plate and went in front of him and started breaking the roti.

R- farzi listen... in sab ki koi zaroorat nahi hai. Mai khud kha lunga.

Sanyukta glared at him

S- khud kha sakte ho.. isiliye subah nasta bhi nahi kiya haina ...??

R- san...

Before he could complete she put the morsel in his mouth. Randhir's eyes poped out. he looked at her. she gave a winning smile and put another piece in his mouth. He looked at her lovingly as she fed him. This was the first time any woman had fed her, he did not remember his mom feeding him and here sanyukta , his mortal enemy , whom he wanted to throw out of his life was feeding him lovingly.

S- waise randhir tumse ek baat puchu..

R- hmmm

S- tum mujhe baar baar call kyu kar rahe the.

R- woo.. sanyukta... ( he did not understand what to tell her, he definetly couldn't tell her that he did not want her to go with him alone.)

S- Tum jaante the ki sameer aisa kuch karne wala hai ?

R- nahi sanyukta woo mai nahi chahta tha ki tum uske sath akele jao

(he bit his tongue as he blurted out the truth)

Sanyukta stared into his eyes

S- kyu ??

This was a even more a difficult question. He had to avoid it. He started coughing and sanyukta gave him water. She made him drink carefully. She took the plate and left the room confused.

"Yeh chahta tha ki mai uss sameer ke sath akele na jao... par kyu..."

Her mom called and she brushed away her thoughts and went away.

Randhir looked at her retreating figure. He looked at his hand. He remembered how she dressed his wound. He smiled and kissed his hand.. so he drifted to sleep.

It was evening. Randhir got up and went to wash room to get freshened. He came out and saw something on his bed. He went closer and found it to be his jacket. He had given it to sanyukta. He saw a small note attached to it. It read, " Thanks a lot MCP" he smiled looking at it.

He kept the note safely and started studying. He couldn't go to office so he thought to study instead of keeping himself idle.

A/N : hey everyone.. well I'm planning to end it here while i post the epilogue later. I wasn't getting the lead as to how the story should turn out after this. If i get a good lead then I'll surely continue else I'll post the epilogue. I thought its good to give it an end instead of dragging it. 😛 Don't be upset I'll come back with a sequel or another FF sometime later😉😆
