Chapter 9

He clenched his fists and barged towards them. Sameer was not less than shocked. He wondered how he came there. He freed sanyukta and looked at him shocked. Sanyukta pushed him and ran into randhir's arms. She hugged him tight. Randhir carefully patted her back still looking at sameer with anger. He freed her and she went behind him. Randhir gritted his teeth and went towards sameer and held his collar. He pushed him down on the floor. Sameer got up and pushed back randhir. Randhir fell on the table hurting his forehead. Sanyukta shouted randhir... Randhir got up and fisted his palm on sameer's face. He punched him hard. After a soundful wack he left him bleeding on the ground

R-haw dare you... tumhari himmat kaise hui sanyukta ko haat lagane ki.

He punched him hard. Sameer was drained out. He was bleeding.

R- dobara agar sanyukta ki aas pas bhi dikhe na toh tumhari aise haalat karunga ki tum khade bhi nahi paonge . He warned him.

He moved away , took sanyukta's hand in his hand and walked out.

Sanyukta just wasn't able to believe that randhir, the MCP had saved her. She would have been in deep trouble if he hadn't come on time. they reached near the car.

R- tum theek ho.

S- (scared) ha (she held his hand tight)

R- daro mat mai hu yaha. Ab who tumhe kabhi pareshaan nahi karenga.

She nodded. She noticed his right palm and forehead was bleeding badly. He had got a deep cut on his forehead.

S- Randhir tumhe chot lagi hai

R- mai theek hu.

He removed his jacket and made her wear it. She was surprised to see randhir so caring and that too towards girls. She smiled.

R- (irritated) isme hasne waali kaunsi baat hai.

S- huh ..?? nahi nahi kuch bhi nahi... she controlled her thoughts

Randhir opened the door and made her sit properly and then went and sat on the driver's seat.

@ Sanyukta's home

It was around 10 30, sanyu hadn't return back. Her parents were sitting in the hall worried. Ankit observed that randhir was too missing. He wondered where he had gone so late. He called him

R- ha ankit

A- hello Randhir... kaha ho tum.. itni raat ko kaha chale gaye.. waise sanyukta bhi ab tak ghar nahi aayi hai yaha sab pareshaan ho rahe hai.

R- ankit woo... ( looks at sanyukta) woo sanyukta mere sath hai.

Sanyukta got scared. She didn't know how she would face them at home. she was disturbed by all the happenings.

A- kyaa.. ???? ( his parents got even more tensed) Sanyukta tumhare sath hai (they looked at each other) lekin kaise ... woo toh sameer ke sath...

Randhir tells him the entire truth. Sanyukta just stares outside and starts crying.

A- achaa tum jaldi ghar aajao... yaha maa papa pareshaan ho rahe hai.

R- theek hai.

Randhir looks at sanyukta

R- relax farzi

She just nods.

@ Sanyukta's house

S.D- kya baat hai ankit. Randhir Sanyu ke sath ? Sameer kaha hai,...

S.M- sanyu theek haina na beta

Ankit tells them the truth.

S.M -( starts crying) parsu sagai hai aur aaj yeh sab..

S.D (tensed and shocked) hamne jaldbaazi mai galat ladke ko chunn liya.. yeh toh acha hua ki waqt rehte sachai ka pata chal gaya. Ab yeh rishta nahi hoga.

He goes away from there.

A- maa aap bhi papa ke sath jaaye. Main yaha unn log ka intezaar karta hu.

His mom sadly walks away from there while ankit stays back waiting for them.

Around 12:30 am

Randhir and sanyukta reaches Agarwal Mansion. He turns around and sees sanyukta sleeping. He stares at her.

Not disturbing her, he quietly opens her door and picks her up. He reaches the main door and ankit opens it. He is shocked looking at their plight. He asks randhir to take sanyukta to her room, while he brings first aid for him. Randhir nods and moves. He pushes her door open and gently place her on the bed. He removes the hair strands disturbing his view of such an sleeping beauty. He strokes her head lovingly and cover her with the blanket. She helds his hand and mumbles ... " Thank you MCP... tum itne bhi bure nahi ho..." Randhir's lips form into a sweet smile. He whispers, " You are welcome Farzi." He frees his hand and walks out. he goes to his room. Ankit too comes there. Randhir tells ankit about sameer's intentions and what would have gone wrong if he hadn't reach on time. ankit says he has decided what he has to do now and tells him to take rest as he is injured badly . Randhir nods in approval.

He laid on his bed... he wasn't able to sleep properly. He got up and went towards the balcony, he put his hand into his pockets and stared outside. It was past 2 am. Though summers wee hot in delhi , the nights were comparitively cool. The cool breeze kissed his face, he closed his eyes in reflex. Their meets started playing again... he heard some sounds. He opened his eyes and looked around for the source. He heard murmurs. He followed the direction of the murmers. It was coming from sanyukta's room. He panicked and rushed to her room. She was mumbling in her sleep. He went near her. She was shivering and sweating out of fear.

S- chodo mujhe... sameer chodo mujhe...

R- relax sanyukta sameer yaha nahi hai.

She got up in fright and mumbled again. Randhir held her shoulders and calmed her down, she started crying, " Randhir ... woo sameer..."

R- shhh.. farzi relax ... mai hu na..

She hugs him tightly due to fear. He hugs her gently and patts her back and calm her down.

R- tum apne ghar mai ho sanyukta, daro mat... ab sameer tyumhare life mai kabhi wapas nahi aayenga.

He heard no response. He tried to free her. she didn't move... she had held him tight. Randhir realised that she had slept in his arms. Carefully made her sleep on the bed. She turned around and held his hand slept taking hs hand under her face. Randhir couldn't remove his hand. He sat beside her so that he doesn't disturb her sleep. Soon he too felt asleep.

Next morning

Randhir was the first on to wake up. He looked around and found himself in her room. She was sleeping peacefully. He smiled looking at her. yeh sote hue kitni innocent lagti hai.. aur jaagte hi sherni ban jaati hai , he thought. He slowly freed his hand and left the room.

After a while she woke up. She sat up on the bed. She remembered the previous night's incident. She hugged her knees and started crying. She had never been so scared. Her parents and ankit walked in. her mom went and hugged her. she hugged her back and cried. Her dad asked her whether she was fine. She nodded in approval. He moved out from there, and ankit followed him. Sanyu's mother calmed her down and said that her dad had cancelled her engagement. She felt relieved. She wouldn't have to see that chomu's face ever again. She smiled. Her mom kissed her forehead and asked her to have her bath and come down for breakfast. Saying so her mom left.

She got up and found herself in Randhir's jacket. She thought how he had saved her. she smiled thinking asbout him. She took a quick bath and went down for breakfast. At the breakfast table all were there except randhir. She enquired about him and asked her mom. She replied saying he has gone for a morning walk. Suddenly the door's bell rang. Sanyukta stood up thinking it would be randhir. Sanyu;s dad opened the door and was shocked. The police had come.

The inspector greeted sanyu's dad. He welcomed him inside.

P- Mr. Agarwal mujhe complaint mili hai ki aapki beti ki sath zor zabardasti hui hai.

S.D- ( confused) ha lekin aap ko yeh sab baat kaise.. mera matlab hai...

" maine bulaya hai in ko" a sound came from behind and all turned to the direction.
