Chapter 8

Khushi and Nk had been talking and laughing their hearts out on one of the silly jokes made by Nk and they seemed nowhere to stop and that was irritating Arnav, Who was a silent observer since past 30 minutes. Suddenly he jerked feeling someone had shaken him.

"What The-!" he muttered, "Aman.. What?"

"Nothing!" Aman shook his head sitting beside him while Arnav turned back to gaze the duo sitting in front on him.

"What You're doing?" Aman asked going through an Arnav's book unnecessarily.

Arnav nodded negatively. at the same time as Aman whispered, "Are you jealous?" Arnav's eyes shot up.

"Are You Mad? Why would I be jealous? And From whom? No!"

Amain chuckled at Arnav's response and Pointed towards Khushi and NK's direction and Arnav gave him a glare and got up to leave. Khushi heard what Arnav said but then didn't think about it much.

Later that day.. Khushi, Lavanya and all other students of Disciplane community were called for a meeting and trust me, more than a meeting it was amusing time for them. Barun kept cracking jokes and being a senior no one could question him and because of that Khushi and others were having a hard time controlling their laughter.

"Ohk, Now.. Happiness get serious!" Barun spoke as they left the library and walked out with Lavanya on Khushi's side.

"About?" Khushi questioned looking around to find a friend.

"You know.. about what." He said seriously while she started chuckling.

"Oh Come On Barun.. I think She likes you too!"

"Think?!" Barun raised his eyebrow.

"Yeaah.. What else?"

"I want you to know.. And I've asked you for so long now. Happiness Won't you do this for your friend?" he cutely pleaded. And Khushi grinned.

"Okay okay."

"Hey Arnav!" Barun called out to him as he speckled him going towards the lab and Arnav grudgingly moved towards them.

"Hi!" he spoke and faced Khushi, "meeting done?"

"Yeah Done." she said and turned to leave while Arnav followed her coming over his annoyance.

"You were going to lab right?" she asked.

"Yeah.. But I'll walk you to the class." he smiled at her and so did she.

Again after sometime Barun, the coolest person spotted Khushi and both again went back to their own world of fun that only possible for these two to understand.

"I'll be back.." Barun left while Khushi turned to find her friend looking at her with her friends folded smiling brightly at her.

"Heyy" Khushi squealed and ran towards her.

"What's up Maddy?" the girl asked.

"Nothing much.. Erm.."

"Okay okay.. So tell me about something i asked you for?"

"Barun and Her? Oh no.. Not at all! i told you... "

"Really? Phew!"

"So.."

"So What?"

"Why you sound happy?" and the Ever Curious Khsuhi woke up in her.

On the other hand, a very poor looking and jobless at the moment, Arnav was sitting muttering What The-s' to himself.

"What's with this Barun?" he muttered again.

"What?" Anjali who was narrating something to them respond to the unexpected interruption.

"Barun.. He is Khushi's Friend?"

"Oh Yes! He is one of the nicest seniors." Payal answered.

"Oh..Kay!" Arnav answered wholly uninterested.

"Did Khushi forgot she has friends here?" Arnav once again interrupted in-between a secret that Akash was revealing.

"What's wrong?!" Anjali shouted at him annoyed, scaring him.. While Aman burst out in peals of laughter.

To Arnav's relief, Khushi finally made her way towards them and a smile came across his face seeing the wide smile that she had.

"So guys.. What's the Plan?" Khushi asked as soon as she sat on the place near Nk which he gave her to Arnav's utter irritation.

"A farewell?" Payal said.

"Yeah but anything else?" Khushi question.

"What are you guys talking about?" Arnav asked.

"Me, Anji, Khush, Payal, Aman, Shayam & Akash are thinking to surprise Lavanaya and Give her a farewell.. And some good memories as she'll be leaving soon." Nk told.

"Can I join you guys?" Arnav asked. And Anjali nodded and all of them got back to the planning.

"Guys.. There should be something else. Everything is planned but still.. What are we going to gift her as a memory?" Khushi asked making patterns on her Notebooks.

"Uumm.." Aman made a thoughtful sound and all of them looked at him hopeful to which he ended up shrugging his shoulders and all of them started thinking on their own.

"A Collage?" came to voices from opposite sides and they both looked up to look at eachother, Arnav and Khushi but then the poor eyelock were broken by Shayam and Payal's High Five.

the day had been lively for Khushi as after a week her one of the lovely friends returned and she got a new mission of match making which she loves to and She also had a great time with her friends but She knew Something was missing but thought to keep aside the thought. While for Arnav it wasn't a day as good as the usual ones and he knew it. The classes for the day ended and Khsuhi and Arnav were the last ones to leave, Arnav was deliberately being slow and Khushi had some things to do. When she was about to leave she heard him call her.

"Yes Arnav?" she asked.

"Skype?" he asked.

"Um.. What time?"

"4pm?"

"Noo.. I won't be able to."

"Ok then you tell the time."

"7?" she smiled.

"Ok then!" and with that the smile on Arnav Singh Raizada's face returned!
