Chapter 9

"Nothing," he said with a childish smile," I was just taking some fruits to eat which is on the other side of the table, kyun?"

Sakshi was speechless, she could hardly say anything more.

Finally after one hour, she was alone in the house, and could control her heartbeats.  Arjun was going to be the death of her one day soon.  Still, she couldn't stop herself from smiling at all.  She went in her room, and taking her towel to take a shower.  That was she noticed a big jewellery box on her table.  She went closer to it, and saw a card on it.

She opened up the card and only her name was written on it.  Keeping the card aside, she opened the box and was shocked on seeing an exquisite diamond bracelet in it.  She was still admiring the bracelet, when her mobile started to ring.

She was still lost when she answered the call.

"Sakshi, did you like the bracelet?" Arjun asked on the other side.

"It's... it's very beautiful," she said breathlessly.

"But you shouldn't have," she added.

"Rubbish, what's wrong in gifting something to his own wife," Arjun said back.

"Anyway tonight we'll be going out for diner, so get ready by 7pm, and do wear this bracelet," Arjun said and cut the call.  Tonight, tonight he'd tell her of his feelings.  He was sure she was also in love with him now.

In the meantime, Sakshi was completely under Arjun's spell.  She stared at her mobile and the gift, and then blushed.  She was blushing a lot lately, she thought with a smile, but soon her smile disappeared, when she realised that she didn't have anything to wear tonight.  Not wasting anytime, she ran to have her shower, and within half and hour, she was going out for some shopping.

For the first since months, she was shining with happiness, she felt as if everything would be ok now.  She respected Arjun too much, and knew he was too much a gentleman to play with her feelings.  Now that she was thinking about this morning events, she realised that Arjun had been deliberately disturbing her.

She'd have her revenge, she thought naughtily while looking for something sexy to wear tonight.  She was so engrossed in shopping, that she never even realised that a man had been watching her for some time, till he came next to her and whispered in her ears.

Sakshi had been checking a sari out, when she felt someone whispering her name in her ears.  Without even turning, she knew who it was, and her body was taut with tension now.  The sari fell from her hands, while she turned to stare at a pair of laughing eyes.

"Sakshi, what a surprise," he said and took a step closer to her, when he realised that Sakshi was taking step backwards.

"Rohit," she said shocked.
