Hey everyone... here's the next half chapter of my story...
like i said previously, im kinda stuck so i need to work on a few things
but i felt bad abt keeping everyone waiting so here's a little something till
then... hope you guys enjoy it and please please please leave ur
comments/reviews/suggestions...
The Crab Shack was a great place for a night out. It wasn't a classy,
expensive restaurant but it wasn't a fast-food joint either. It was the
perfect place for a bunch of friends to go to if they wanted to "chill". The
wooden floors were always scrubbed and shined and the red, brick walls
gave the place a nice warmth.
It was only five minutes away from where they lived and they could
have easily walked there but they chose not to. They arrived at the
restaurant in no time at all and Johnny parked his red convertible in the
parking space closest to the entrance of the restaurant. All four them got
out of the car and made their way to the restaurant.
As they were walking to the doors, Veronica couldn't help but notice
how attractive Michael looked in his pink t-shirt which was paired with
dark, denim jeans and a black hoodie jacket which completed his "surfer-
dude" image. She felt a slight warmth creep up her face but decided to
shake it away.
"Good evening. Table for 4?" asked a cheery waitress as they
stepped into the restaurant.
"Yup." answered Johnny with a smile on his face.
"Right this way." said the waitress and led them to a table.
All four of them took a seat and the waitress handed them the
menus. "I'll be back to take your order." she said before she walked away.
After a while, the waitress came back and took their orders. When
the waitress left, an awkward silence fell on the table. It had been a long
time since Veronica had gone out with her friends and all of them wanted
to make sure they didn't say anything that would upset her.
"This is a really great place. I'm glad all of us came here before we
went off to college." said Meg, breaking the silence and trying to keep the
conversation as safe as possible.
"Yeah, it really is. And I'm glad Johnny's uncle let us use his place."
added Michael.
"His beach house is always locked up anyway. He just bought it to
show-off. No one ever really uses it." said Johnny.
"How do you like it here Ronnie?" asked Meg.
"Oh... It's a beautiful place indeed." answered Veronica with a smile
that didn't reach her sad eyes.
