Chapter 9

I want to explain this story a little bit so u can understand it more from my point of view.

Chapter 9:

                       Khushi, who thought arnav is going to present one big argument before her, felt very surprised with the way he handled the situation like a pro.

She felt like a huge weight had been lifted from her shoulders.

She had done it. 

She had spoken to arnav clearly about what her priorities are and where she stands to rightnow, and for the first time felt like they are on equal ground.

He didn't interrupt her, 

He didn't get angry at her, 

and he stood there without yelling as she stated her terms. 

This surely is a big step for arnav and the determination with which he is going left a smile on her lips.

And this is defintely a big step towards their togetherness. and when he said he is not going anywhere and to take her time, khushi felt the restlessness in her until now fade away with all the doubts and insecurities in her mind.

With a spring in her step she started to go down the steps, secretly thinking of checking on arnav before going to sleep.

                                                                 **

                       Arnav who had been tired was already deep in slumber, when khushi peaked a look at him, she felt peaceful and this time genuinely enjoyed the butterflies she felt at arnav's presence.

She slowly crept beside his bed and kneeled down at his side, trying not to make any noise , 

It felt silly, 

It felt exhilarating, 

Sneaking into his room, trying to take a peak at him.

She felt like a naughty girl, who should not be doing things like this, what will her parents think if they saw her sneaking into her husband's room, her father and mother will be shocked at her boldness,

While her buaji will start with..

" Hai re nandkishore, iss ladki ko hum kya karein !? "

" Yeh parameswari, tu arnav babua ke room me itni raat ko kya kar rahi thi?

   macchar mar rahi thi ka..?  hein !? "

[ " Hai re nandkishore, what should we do with this girl!? "

  " Hey parameswari, what were you doing this late night in arnav's room?

    were u killing mosquitoes..?  hein !? " ]

thinking about her buaji's loud exclamations, she felt giggles erupting from her lips.

and she finally realised what she was feeling.

Relief,

Peace, 

Love, 

Admiration, 

Affection.

And everything is linked to the man who is sleeping like a toddler in the bed, with his mouth half hanging open, his hair falling on his eyes, softly snoring..

adjusting his hair, caressing his face, gazing at him while he slept, she didn't realise when sleep claimed her.

                                                           **

                      Arnav, woke up early morning next day feeling energetic, a smile on his lips even before he was conscious of the feeling, and then he felt a hand clasping his fingers tightly and became alert seeing the sun rays filtering through the windows playing a peek a boo with his wife, and felt content, and suddenly realised that his wife has slept here all night beside him,

Although it may have been on the ground, 

But atleast she was holding his hand, 

And for him, that counts as a point.

                                                  Point 1 for - Arnav. 

when he was mentally congratulating and patting himself, he saw khushi stirring and feigned asleep.

                       Khushi raised her arms lazily, arching her body up and took a contented breath, plans already forming about the day ahead, until she realised her bed felt very hard beneath her and woke up completely realising she slept beside arnav's bed last night.

Mumbling under her breath about what will arnavji think if he sees her sleeping beside him, she hurriedly got up running out of the room and in a second rushed back and kissed his forehead, blushing while leaving from there.

Arnav who was already awake, rolled to his side clutching his pillow in his arms 

softly whispered into ..

                                                  " I love you, Khushi. "
