Chapter 6

[Thanks for all the likes, comments and suggestions. Mainly thanks for making the time to read my story. It still amazes me that i'm trying to write a story and that people are willing to read it. 

Note: this is actually a light hearted story , its going to be more like tom and jerry type arnav and khushi's story. I don't think i'm skilled to write an intense one. I'm still trying to get the hang of writing, so any mistakes i make are purely mine.

Btw guys i forgot to mention, i will be updating two chapters today itself 

( chapter 6&7) so, Here goes..

Chapter 6 :

                    When khushi saw arnav at her home, standing outside the door smirking, she closed her eyes with her palms thinking, it will make him disappear. 

 After a minute just to make sure this is happening, she slowly moved two fingers and saw him standing exactly at the same spot, before she got the courage and ask him what he was doing here? she heard her mother's footsteps coming towards her and shut the door on arnavs face, just getting a small glimpse of his smirk turn to absolute shock before the door is shut completely. Even in this circumstances khushi felt the victory of upping one on arnav. 

                   The sound still echoing, khushi hears her mother enquire about who was at the door and started to get nervous frantically searching for some answers just as she listens the door bell ring, another time that night.

                   Still trying to get her brain function, she missed her mother going to the door and opening it greeting arnav with a confused and an uncomfortable expression on her face telling him to come in.  

            

                   Greeting his mother-in-law and going inside, arnav suddenly felt uncomfortable himself, he decides then before he starts his 'get khushi home' campaign he needs to reassure her parents about his love and intentions and ask them forgiveness for his past actions. 

                   Seeing shashi uncle, greeting him, and asking about his health arnav sits on the sofa making a small talk with him and buaji not missing khushi's completely befuddled expressions. 

                   After enquiring about everyone at shantivan garima asks him to go freshen up and join them for dinner calling khushi to show him the 'guest room'.

Arnav doesn't miss the emphasis on guest room, now he surely knows he needs to apologise fast before everything goes south.

     

                   Khushi tries to pretend that arnav is not there even if she can literally see him and with her everybody else can too..

                   She doesn't know why she does that, if u ask her, it is as if she cant think anything and her mind has gone blank. So she does what everytime khushi does when she faces arnavji she acts crazy !! It was the best course of action right now!! So as long as she can pretend arnavji isn't here then she can go along with her life as it is.  

                   Thinking this is the best plan for now she does just that. She has seen her amma invite arnavji inside and him greeting her, buaji and her babuji. 

She sees him answering their enquiries about everybody at home standing on the sidelines as if he is just another guest, when her amma asks how anjaliji  is, is the only time khushi's ears stood up to listen arnavji's response. Upon hearing she is recovering fine, and is spending her time looking after the baby only then does  khushi relax. 

                   Arnav who is talking with amma observes everything khushi does, and has already guessed what she was doing keeping his lips pressed trying to not laugh out loud and give khushi 's parents a heart attack, he resumes asking about their well being.

                   Until then only paying half an ear to the conversation going on khushi suddenly jerks to halt listening to her name being called. Already seeing arnav coming to her side and waiting for her to show to the room, she deflates, deciding she needs a plan before she reaches the room, as she knows arnavji will try to corner her now as they are alone, so she takes arnav to every other room she can think of in their house making different excuses each time laughing awkwardly explaining that her head is somewhere else.  

               

                   After sometime silently walking side by side, arnav suddenly calls khushi thinking about talking to her. Startling him, she rushes to show his room , after pointing to the room, suddenly jumps up startling arnav and mumbles an apology already running and half way out with him calling out to her, she disappears down the stairs heavily breathing and audibly releasing a heavy sigh praising herself for the narrow escape.

                  Arnav who was at the top of the stairs trying to catch khushi was amazed by the speed with which she had made her escape. Standing there, leaning down and trying to take deep breaths after the marathon he had, started to chuckle shaking his head at his crazy wife rasped a bemused 'pagal' into the thin air.

    

                  Then he smirked thinking how long are you going to run and avoid me khushi? Did you forget u need to sleep in the room next to mine? 

                  And suddenly remembers her ' if i close my eyes, you won't be there ' expression when he was at the door, and coughed into his hand struggling not to laugh out loud. Still chuckling deciding to check his emails that he told aman to send about his deal with khurana textiles he left from there to freshen up. 

                 Freshening up arnav goes in search of shashi uncle to try and talk to him thinking divide and conquer is the way to go. Finding him in his study and asking him if he could come in saying he needs to talk,arnav for the first time in his life gets on his knees, humbly bending his head ashamed of his actions begins to apologise for every action he had done and tells him about his past about his mother, his father and his di and explains him why he is the way he is, and  how khushi with her bright colours brought life into him filling his life and everybody's at his home with the colours of her. Why he wants a second chance at love and life and how this time he could'nt live his life without his khushi in it. 

                  Shashi who had listened to everything tells him that this time the decision will be in khushi's hands. If she thinks, arnav is the one, and that she can't live without him, choosing him in the end then he will be more than happy for them. If she decides no to this, then that will be the end of it. If arnav wants khushi back what he should do is make khushi happy and that will be all the forgiveness a father can give. 

                   Arnav who listened to shashi intently, vowed to him khushi's happiness is the only thing that matters. He will earn the forgiveness from her and when she does, he will remarry her with all the respect with which she should have been married.

Finally earning the respect of one proud father who sees arnav for what he is, giving him the blessing to go ahead.

                      Garima who was watching this from just outside the door felt at peace knowing now, she can trust arnav with her khushi's happiness and slowly started to go back to the kitchen to arrange the dinner wiping the tears that had emerged from her wet eyes.
