Chapter 14

Kanan and Nishant were busy in a meeting . They have just finished off when suddenly Kanan's mobile rangs.
Kanan: Hello. Hi Reeva. How are u.
Reeva: I am fine Kanan. Just want to remind u and Nishant about my birthday party tonight.
Kanan: Of course we will come. Take care and bye.
Saying this, she cuts the phone down.
Kanan: Nishant, aapko yaad hain na aaj humein Reeva ki birthday party mein jaana hai.
Nishant who was a little bit disturbed after is meeting with Reeva after so many years was trying to avoid him
Nishant: Haan actually Kanan mujhe office mein baut kaam hai. To aap aisa kariye aap akeli chali jaiye.Aur Reeva ko meri taraf se sorry bol dijiyega.
Kanan was a little bit upset after hearing that . Butshe doesn't show it to Nishant.
Kanan(smiling to hide her disappointment): Ok Nishant i understand. Don't worry .
Saying this, Kanan leaves from there and Nishant realises that she was upset.
Nishant: I am really sorry Kanan. Mujhe pata hai aapko bahut dukh pahunch hoga par main kya karun? Main aapko bata bhi to nahi sakta ki main kis mushkil se gujar raha hoon.
Nishant tries hard to concentrate on work but he was unable to do so as Kanan's disappointed face was still in front of his eyes.At last he leaves from there.
Kanan was all set to leave when Buaji stops her.
Buaji: Arre Kanan, tu akeli jaa rahi hai. Nishant kahan hai?
Kanan: Woh Buaji. Unhe office mein kuch kaam hai isliye woh nahi aa payenge.
Buaji: Hey Bhagwan. Ye ladka bhi na. Main to ise samjha samjha ke thak gayi. La phone de mujhe.
Kanan: Nahi Buaji rehne dijiye. Unhe jaroor koi kaam hoga warna wo mujhe kabhi mana nahi karte.It's ok mujhe sachmuch bura nahi laga.
Buaji smiles and Kisses Kanan's forehead.
Buaji: Mera Nishant sachmuch bahut khushkismat hai ki use tujh jaisi patni milne jaa rahi hai.
Kanan: Khushkismat to main hoon Buaji ki mujhe itna pyaar karne wali buaji mili hai.
Buaji: Acha ab tu ja. Tujhe late ho raha hoga.
Kanan was about to leave when Nishant reaches there.
Kanan(a little bit surprised): Arre Nishant, aap yahan?
Nishant: Actually Kanan main bahut socha aur mujhe laga ki aapka akela jaana theek nahi hoga. Aap bas do minute rukiye, main abhi aata hoon.
Saying this, he rushed into his room whereas Kanan was happily surprised .
After 10 minutes, they were on their way to the restaurant.After 15 minutes, they entered into the restaurant where the party was organised.
Reeva was waiting for them and she became delighted when se found Nishant with Kanan.
Kanan: Many many happy returns of the day to u.
Reeva: Thanku so much Kanan.
Nishant: Happy birthday to u Reeva.
Reeva: Thank u so much Nishant and thanku so much for coming.
Nishant just gave a mere smile to her.
Reeva: Let's cut the cake.
Kanan: ok why not.
They reached near the cake where everybody was waiting for them.
Reeva cut the cake and took out a piece.
Reeva: My friend Kanan is very special for me and n ow she is having a very special person in her life so the first piece of cak e goes to him. I hope u don't mind Kanan.
Kanan just merely smiles.
Reeva takes the piece and was about to feed Nishant when Nishant takes the peice of cake for her hand and feeds it to Kanan. Kanan becomes to happy and in return she feeds Nishant the same piece. Everybody present there clapped 0n this beautiful scene whereas Reeva feels a little bit jealous but she also clapped for them.
Kanan and Nishant were sitting together and talking when Reeva again comes there.
Reeva: Sorry to disturb u both (To Nishant)but can i have the pleasure to dance with u .
Nishant looks at Kanan who was looking at him.
Reeva: Aww don't be afraid of her. Kanan kuch nahi kahegi.
Nishant smiles and goes on the floor with Reeva whereas Kanan kept on watching them.
They starts dancing. Reeva was looking at Nishant and remebering their old college days whereas Nishant was trying to avioid her looking here and there.
Reeva: Yaad hai Nishant, hum log college mein bhi aisa he dance karte the.
Nishant: ya i remember.
Reeva: Kitne acche din the woh.Hum dono.....
Nisaht was feeling uncomfortable with her and her talks and leaves her at last.
Nishant: it was a pleasure dancing with u.
Saying this, he goes to Kanan.
Reeva realsises that Nishant is having smoething for her in his heart even now otherwise he has not behaved in th way that he behaved.
Nishant goes to Kanan and extends his hand to her for dancing. Kanan was surprised and gives her hand in his hand.He takes her to the dancing floor and they starts dancing. His both hands were around her waist wheras her hands were around his neck.They were looking at each other and were too close that Reeva begans to became a little jealous of them. Nishant was passionately looking at Kanan. Her so simple face without makeup, her big eyes and her silky hairs were making him ore passoinate about her. He had never realised his passion for her but now he was unable to leave her even for a minute. More than this, he is well aware of her nature i.e' she is so sweet and understanding that anyone will think for a thousand times before breaking her heart. Kanan too notices a change in Nishant's behaviour. For the first time she is finding so much love in his eyes for her.
Kanan: Kya hua Nishant. Aap aise kyun dekh rhaein hain ujhe.
Nishant: I love u Kanan. And i want to be with u forever.
Kanan was unable to beleive her ears. These were the words she wants to hear from Nishant since the last one year. Her eyes became wet with tears amd Nishant realsizes that.
Kanan: I love u too Nishant. Aap nahin jaante ki aapke munhe se ye teen lavz sunne ke liye maine kitna intezaar kiya hai.
Nishant: I know Kanan.Aur main mafi chahta hoon ki maine aapse itna intezaar karwaya.
Kanan: Please don't say all this Nishant.
Nishant again looks at Kanan and gives a passionate kiss on her cheek and Kanan was all in smiles.
Nishant looks at Reeva who was feeling uncomfortable.He totally ignored her and again focuses his attention on Kanan.
Kanan: Nishant bahut raat ho gayi hai. Ab humein ghar chalna chahiye. Ghar par sab hamare wiat kar rhaein honge.
Nishant: Ok as u wish. Par jaane pehle apni friend ko good bye to keh dijiye.
They both goes to Reeva, wishes her once again and then leaves from there.
Nishant was feeling a bit relaxed that at last he is able to tell Reeva that now she is not having any plae in his heart and now Kanan is his life.
In the way , Nishant sotps his car in front of a video parlour. He was in a very good mood today.
Kanan: Nishant aapne yahan gaaadi kyun rok di.
Nishant: Bas ek minute. Main abhi aaya.
Saying this, he enters into the video parlour and returns with a VCD and colddrinks in his hands.
After sometime they reached home where everybody was waiting for them.
Nishant: Arre, aap log jaag rahein hain ab tak.
Tanu: Hum log to aap ka wait kar rahe the.
Nishant: i know. Isliye main ye lekar aaya hoon. Saying this, he hands over the Vcd to her.
Tanu: Wow Evil dead. My favorite.
Nishant: i know. Aaj hum sab ek saath baithenge aur ek saath enjoy karenge.
Bali: Wow chachu u r great.
Kanan and Buaji brought glasses from inside for colddrinks. They all sit together, drinking colddrinks and enjoying the movie and crying like crazies on the horror scenes like a small pefect family
