"Oh Maya, what do I do?" Arun asks.
"Play along...if you want my advice. I think you should act totally ignorant, and see what happens..." Maya responds.
"And exactly how do I do that?" Arun asks again.
"Ok here's the plan..." Maya says.
She whispers the plan in his ear and Arun finally, after loads of persuading says yes.
"So...since when do you get time to think of such great ideas?" Arun asks Maya.
"As a journalist....you have to think of good schemes all the time!" Maya answers. "Anyways, I'm gonna call her and ask her to meet me at a mall or something, with her fianc, and then I'll tell her I want to meet him again, because....Rahul, my fianc wants to meet him. That works right?" Maya says.
"Yeah....that's alright...wait. Fianc?? Since when is Rahul your...." Arun realizes.
"Ohh...umm he's not *yet* but I just thought if I use his name, Rushvi will actually fall for it." Maya answers back.
"Right...we better head back out again." Arun says.
"You're alright, na?" Maya asks.
"I will be...let's go." Arun and Maya both come out of his cabin and see Rahul sitting on one of the chairs reading a magazine while both the girls Ruchi and Simran are engaged in heavy conversation. Arun walks up to Rahul, while Maya stands hopeful next to him.
"Hi, we haven't met properly yet, I'm Arun. Maya's OLDER brother." Arun emphasizes.
Maya holds back a giggle.
"Hi, I'm Rahul...Maya's (looks at her quickly) friend." Rahul introduces himself.
"Friend or something more?" Arun asks.
"Umm....just friends?" Rahul says. "Aur waise bhi...pyar dosti hain na?"
Maya slaps her hand against her forehead. "Shit yaar, he was fine until that last sentence!" She thinks.
"There we go...your real intentions came out didn't they?" Arun says.
Maya laughs, "Ok fine. Arun...meet Rahul my boyfriend."
"Boyfriend? I love how you tell me everything!" Arun says sarcastically.
"I know...anyways...everyone keep quiet, I'm gonna call Rushvi now." Maya says.
She dials the number Rushvi gave her and waits, "Hi? Rushvi? Oh...I'm sorry Sharad right? Hi yeah...we met at the airport today? Umm...thanks...you're really handsome too. Is Rushvi there by any chance? Yeah I'll hold."
She looks at Arun and Rahul who give her a look for that last sentence.
"Hi...this is Maya here. Yeah, same one! (she laughs) I was wondering if we could meet up, I want you and your fianc to meet my fianc. How about for coffee? Yeah...in three hours at the Starbucks in Jersey Gardens? Ok...we'll be there." She hangs up.
"Fianc? What kinda of fianc?" Rahul asks her.
"You idiot....tum!" Maya answers.
"Ok...so you made me your fianc, without even giving me the chance to propose?" He says.
"Rahul?" Maya says.
"Hmmm?"
"Shut up!" Maya laughs.
