"What? Rushvi...is cheating on me?" Arun asks. He falls back and sits down on the chair behind him.
"I'm sorry Arun; I didn't need to tell you this way..."
Maya goes to him, and sits down by his feet.
"Are you 100% sure?" Arun double-checked.
"Arun, I know for a fact that her name was Rushvi..." Maya answered.
"How can you be so sure?" Arun asked again.
"I met her in the washroom first, she had some eyeliner problem, and so me being the perfect make-up artist that I am, went to help her, and since we were both Indian's we just started talking and stuff, and then she took me with her to meet her fianc, Sharad." Maya told me.
"Sharad? Oh My God, did he look like this?" Arun asks while rummaging in his desk for a photo.
As he takes it out, Maya points and says,
Sharad:
"Yeah, that's him."
"She told me, he was her old school friend!" Arun exclaims. "Why was I such an idiot? Why did I trust her?"
"Because you're a good person. And because you really loved her." Maya says.
"Can I ask you a question before I actually have time to reflect on what just happened?" Arun asks.
"I guess?" Maya says.
"What the hell gave you the idea, that I'd be okay with you bringing your boyfriend to my house?" Arun asks.
Maya immediately turns red.
"B—boy—boyfriend? Arun, he's not my boyfriend...he's just a friend from work..." Maya explains.
"Oh, is that so? Then if I just go outside and tell him to go take a hike, it's okay?" He moves towards the door.
"Waa-Wait!!! Arun, don't you dare...ok fine, we're dating, but I thought...you'd actually be happy for me, and so I brought him to meet you...." Maya says.
"Right, so you won't mind if I ask him a few questions?" Arun asks.
"Are you trying to take your mind off of what Rushvi did?" Maya quietly asks.
"You know me too well..." Arun says.
I'm gonna end this one here, but I promise to have one more today!
