Part 12

 

Both are lost in their own dream world as the romantic song floats in the car. It's in the middle of the night, the weather is quite calm, the calm wind blew past kripa's face as she her window rolled and is looking outside the window making her hair fly. With her eyes closed again, she welcomes the wind to touch her face.

 

From the corner of his eyes, he is watching all this. Every few minutes he would try to look at her. He is memorised by all this, does not know what to do. He stops the car at some corner and looks at kripa, who is starring at the window wondering why the car has stopped.

 

She looks back at him and finds him starring at her; she blushes and feels the butterflies in her stomach! She gulps down and is nervous.

 

She manages to say something; 'Angad… why have you stop the car?'

 

Angad comes back from his dream world and realizes what he was doing! 'Who kya soch rahe hoi meray baarain main… stupid Angad!'

 

'I….I, after a long pause and some thinking he replied, 'the tire is punctured!' he lied

 

'WHAT'

 

She is feeling happy that she gets to spend more time with him, Meanwhile Angad is also happy and thinks how clever he is and smiles to himself that he gets more time with her. Both tries their best to hide their happiness and show their disappointment.

 

'I know…. Look there is a hotel, just tem minute walk, we can stay there for tonight and then go back some' he suggested

 

'O.K' she replied.

 

They walk alongside each other in silence. Both tries to take a peek of each other from there corner of their eyes but when they were about to look at each other they look somewhere else. This game continues for sometime and then suddenly a truck with a speed passes by them making kripa jump and she hugs Angad tightly! Automatically his arms are around her. Both stand there quite for a moment listening to each other heartbeats and enjoying every seconds of it in each arm. Then Kripa pulls it off.

 

Kripa embarrassed: I…I, sorry, she say to him cutely.

 

Angad was taken back by her habits; she said it like as if she was a kid who was nervous what she'd get back from her parent! He smiling that made Kripa confuse.

 

Kripa thought, what have I done and Why is he laughing?

 

He starts laughing more seeing the confuse expression on her face. By now Kripa is getting angry and frustrated that why he is still laughing and had not stop till yet! Finally she says to him with gritted teeths, 'why the hell you are laughing'!

 

Angad still laughing manages to say, 'You should have seen yourself in the mirror'!

 

'What have I done?'

 

' Think' he replied

 

After sometime of thinking she finally gives up an says, 'I can't think of anything'

 

'Kripa!!!  You are so stupid, you act like a Kid as if you were expecting something bad from me, come on yaar we are friends! Is main darni kya baat hai'

 

'That's what I am afraid of' she muttered in her breath!

 

'Oh forget it!' she wanted to change the Subject and moved on, leaving Angad behind.

He smiled as he saw Kripa once again behaving like kid, as angry she was, he was enjoying every minute of it. Suddenly his eyes click with a new idea.

 

Kripa who was walking ahead was thinking of the hug that she has just shared made her blush again. His touch made her warm; comfortable as she was longing for it. She can still feel touch on her body, she wished she could stay for long.

 

Kripa was now walking on her own, she noticed how quite it is and can only hear her own heels clicking away. She then stops, nothing, silence. She then turns around and finds no one there. No sign of Angad. She gets creped and terrified as she is alone on the God knows which road, as if she is really lost and moreover her handbag is in her car.

The car is out of sight now and can't even see the sign of the hotel; she looks around again but nothing. She is surrounded by the trees that are each side of the road.  Suddenly her eyes caught the shadow behind the tree, she gulps down who could it be. She now tries to walk faster and faster but then from the corner of her eyes, she could see that the shadow is moving behind her and following her. She wonders who could it be and what it wants from her and she does not have any money!

 

The road comes to the turn at the end, she relieves as she sees the lights turned on that casts a shadow on the road. As she turns, she founds a hotel. She looks back to see that there is no shadow behind her! As she was about to go forward, suddenly a figure steps out in front of her and she is about to scream, he put hand on her mouth. She looks up to see that the person is none other than Angad!

 

Kripa is relieved to see him and wonders how he could get here before her! 'Angad, how did you get here before me?'

 

'Because I have flying jet on my boots' he grinned

 

'Very Funny!' she made a face at him.

 

'I know'

 

'Angad' she wined

 

'Kripa' he replied at the same tone.

 

'What the hell, please be serious, how did you come here and I was getting afraid' she asked innocently.

 

For a minute he thought he was in the heaven, he wished he could stay with her forever. How lucky that person is going to be who is going to marry her, he thought. Then he thought, No, that lucky person is going to be me only me! He does not want to let her go, so he continues bugging her which he really enjoyed it.

 

'Aww my poor jaanu gets afraid… I did not know that.'

 

She was getting annoyed by his behaviour, it's not that she does not enjoys his company but she was getting really irritated as he was bugging her.

 

'Forget it' she mumbled angry

 

 She was about to turn away, he grabs her hand and made her face him, 'I was there with you'

 

'No, you weren't

 

'yes.. I was'

 

'No.. don't lie to me'

 

'kripa I know I was there'

 

'Really… then prove it' she sneered at him.

 

'Hmmm…. You kept looking back and started walking fast'

 

She thinks, how did he know, there was only one person there that was shadow'

 

'Where were you, if I was there' she asked

 

'Behind the trees' he replied winking at her!

 

'WHAT' she screams at his ears.

 

'kripa… I am not deaf'

 

'What…. Did you just called me deaf'

 

'what?'

 

'yes'

 

'I did not'

 

'liar'

 

'you… liar'

 

'Angad you are impossible…. Don't even try to talk to me'

 

She turned her heels and was about to go when Angad grabbed her wrist and turned her around and pulled her close to him, he then held her by her shoulders,

 

'Kripa.. don't ever say that again…. I am sorry but I did not mean it'

 

Kripa was taken back by his sudden change of his behaviour, she looked it his eyes, which were serious and boring in to hers. He then hugged her tightly.

Kripa was only joking with him, she did not knew he would take it seriously but then again part of her was feeling happy and glad. She pulled away from him and cuped his face in his hands,

 

'I was only joking'

 

'Don't even play this type of joke with me again'

 

'O.k'

 

She then left his face, Angad suddenly kissed her on her cheeks and went straight to the hotel then called her, ' I am waiting for you in the reception…hurry!'

 

Kripa stood there shocked and put her hands on her cheeks and blushed, where he kissed her. Then walked to the reception.
