In Heritage house………

 

In suraj's room…..

 

 

Suraj enters and mansvi goes to him……..she sees him in tension………and asks him as to what had happened……..he narrates the whole story

 

 

Mv: nahi….arjun ko mamaji par bina sabut shak nahi karna chahiye….

 

 

Su: main janta hoon mansvi par ab use kaun samjhaye

 

 

Mv:  main…

 

 

Su: (interrupting) nahi…yeh …..main hi use samjha loonga……..

 

 

Mv: (after a moment)  suraj kahin ye sab yuvraj ne to

 

 

Su: mansvi please…..ab tum bhi mat shuru karo……yuvraj ko to humare iss contract ke bare main pata bhi nahi tha

 

 

Mv: pata karne main kitni der lagti hai…suraj

 

 

Su: par yuvraj …..nahi koi aur employee bhi ho sakta hai

 

 

Mv: nahi suraj…..ye koi apna hi hai…..well aage jo tum theek samjho

 

 

Suraj ponders again over this thought…….to some extent he belives mansvi………he becomes confused ……

 

Suraj goes to freshen up and mansvi sees tension filling up………

 

 

The next day arrives………..

 

In nainital......

 

 

Bhumi waits the whole day for arjun sitting near the window……

 

 

             Kab se tere intezaar main

             Dil lagaye tere deedar baithe hai

             Teri ek nazar hum par paray

             Tammana lagaye hum bhi baithe hain

 

 

 

Arjun still doesn't' come…….. bhumi feels awful………she starts crying…she starts thinking why did he go ….what had gone wrong between them………..and why hadn't he informed her………he could have at least called her………..at least once…..

 

 

In night bhumi cries lying on her bed……thinking

 

 

             Raat bhar neend hi naa aaye to

             Ashq aankhon main chal chalaye to

             Kya hua hai bataye kaise

             Yaad koi bahut hi aaye to….

 

 

Thus like this days pass….arjun gets so busy with his work in mumbai that he totally forgets to call or talk to bhumi………and here bhumi gets depressed day by day……..

 

 

Every night she just dreams of him coming back to her……she is just not able to sleep…..smile……laugh……or even do her usual chores…….her thoughts keep drifting to him

 

 

             Soyi  nahi kaye raaton se

             Is dil main tum hi samaye ho

             Her aahat per aisa lagta hai

             Kay shayad tum aaye ho

 

 

 

10 days pass……….

 

 

In heritage house……

 

In breakfast table……….

 

 

M: arjun…ab jab yahan ka mamla thodha sambhal gaya hai……..to tumhe ab jald se jald nainital jaan chahiye………

 

 

The word nainital brings back the memory of bhumi……..he suddenly realizes that he had not called bhumi even once after coming back to mumbai……..

 

He feels like hitting himself…………..

 

 

Then suddenly …………..shefali comes………

 

 

Sf: Good morning !! everyone(smiling)

 

 

 

All head turns towards shefali……..mansen is very happy ……….but arjun is least

 

 

M: arrye beta…aao……..baitho…aaj humare sath nashta karo………

 

 

Sf: ji uncle

 

 

M: tum wapas kab aayi

 

 

Sf: bas kal dopahar ko hi

 

M: achacha kiya….(after a moment or two) waise tum bhi arjun ke saath nainital kyun nahi chali jaati

 

 

Shefali is ver happy hearing this……….but arjun is shocked…..if bhumi sees him  with shefali ……….then……….no…

 

 

Before shefali could speak……arjun interrupts……..

 

 

A: nahi…..nahi papa iski kya zaroorat hai

 

 

Everybody looks at arjun in surprise

 

 

Sf: (making a face) kyun arjun……kya tum nahi chahte ke main tumhare saath jaon……

 

 

A: nahi ……..shefal who baat nahi hai………actually tum kal hi Canada se aayi ho…I think you should rest……aur nainital ka kaam to main akele bhi sambhal sakta hoon….

 

 

M: nahi…..tum waha ka kaam akele nahi sambhal sakte isiliye shefali ko tumhare saath bhej raha hoon……….arjun smajhne ki koshish karo………tumhe 15 din ka kaam 5 dino main karna hain………tum akele kaise kar paoge……..

 

 

A: main kar loonga papa

 

 

M: arjun…bachon jaisi baat mat karo……shefali tumhare saath jayegi

 

 

Arjun agrees hesistantly………….

 

 

Shefali is overly excited but mansvi who was observing arjun is a little bit worried………thinking that why was arjun reacting in such way…….

 

 

Both leave for nainital………they reach the house where arjun stays…that is the adjacent one to bhumi's house………

 

 

Bhumi who is sitting in the windows with her moist eyes thinking about the time spent with arjun………hears a screeching sound of a car……..

 

the car stops in front of  arjun's ouse………bhumi's is a bit surprised……..

 

 

Arjun and shefali….get down from the car……..they proceed towards to house……..arjun looks at bhumi's house and walks toward his own……..but doesn't notice her

 

 

Bhumi is stunned to find this lady beside arjun and keeps thinking who this woman could be………..

 

 

But bhumi is also happy to see arjun back……..she feels relieved and tears flow down her cheeks……..

 

 

She is frightened at thoughts that appear to her……….but she puts aside her those thoughts ….

 

 

B: nahi………nahi(pates her hands on her head) 

 

 aisa bhi to ho sakta hai ke ye arjun ki bhabhi ho………par dekhne se to ye mansvi bhabhi jaisi nahi lagti….ye to vaisi nahi hai jaise arjun ne bataya tha………

 

oho……..aise bhi to ho sakta hai ki ye arjun ki koi business colleague ya phir dost ho………

 

ya phir uski behen ho………

 

(suddenly realizing) arre haan kahi ye priti to nahi……..main bhi naa…..

 

 

 

She feels happy and gets ready thinking that as to arjun is here ….he could be coming to meet her any moment………she feels excited and goes to change………

 

 

Meanwhile arjun and shefali get down to do work immediately as there is a tremendous pressure on them to meet the target in 5 days………

 

 

Bhumi waits the whole day……….but arjun doesn't come……..

 

 

B: main bhi naa…..ho sakta hai ……..use bahut kaam ho……..isiliye……(then thinks something) par raat ke khane par to zaroor aayega……

 

 

She happily goes in to make dinner………..

 

 

But arjun doesn't even come for dinner……bhumi keeps on waiting but her wait doesn't come to an end………night paases on………arjun doesn't come home……..

 

he and shefali remain the whole night in the office working and completing the matters….

 

 

Early in the morning………nearly at 5.00 am

 

 

Sf: Arjun ab jab humne sab kaam khatam kar liya hai…..i think we should go back home…fresh ho jate hain phir subah aa jayengs

 

 

A: (yawns) subah….(looks at the clock) vaise shefali……..i think already subah ho chuki hai….

 

 

Sf: (smiles) main janti hoon….par mera matlab hai zara aaram kar leten hai……..hum subah se sirf kaam hi kar rahen hai(putting arms around his neck and going near him)

 

 

 

Arjun doesn't like shefali so near……he removes her arms…..

 

 

A: hmm tum theek keh rahi ho………..

 

 

They reach home………shefali tries to catch up some sleep…..but arjun still engages himself in work……

 

 

 

Bhumi wakes up……by nearly 7.00 in the morning……….

 

 

she sees arjun's car …..she thinks that when arjun had come home in the night ….why did he not come for dinner…..she remembers the night when arjun comes and wakes her up for dinner….

 

 

Feeling a bit upset………she thinks ….she should go and see arjun for herself……she goes and gets ready……..but by the time she goes to see him….he had left……..

 

 

And and doesn't come home the whole day………bhumi keeps waiting for him and she is depressed

 

 

 

Next day bhumi sees arjun's coat lying over in her house which he had left accidentally when he stayed for three days in her house……

 

She finds a reason to ask for arjun and meet him……….

 

 

 

She goes to his house………..rings the bell…………..and shefali opens the door

 

 

Sf: yes!!

 

B: who arjun……….mera matlab hai arjunji hain……..

 

 

Sf: par aap??

 

B: main unki…..mera matlab hai…..main who saamne wali ghar main rehti hoon…..(pointing towards her house)

 

 

Sf: to??

 

 

B: who main unse milna chahti thi….unse…

 

 

Sf: (interrupting) who filhaal busy hain……..

 

 

B: aur aap?? Mera matlab aap kaun hai……

 

 

Sf: (surprised) tum kyun ye sab pooch rahi ho……..

 

 

Suddenly arjun shouts from inside…..

 

 

A: SHEFALI!!

 

 

Bhumi hears it! and she understands that this lady is not anyways priti, arjun's sister…..then the next question in her brain was….then who is she……..??

 

 

Sf: (looking a bhumi) dekhiye aap jo bhi hain…yahan se jaayen….arjun bula raha hai……

 

 

B: nahi nahi…suniye to zara……who main arjunji ka coat dene aiyee thi

 

 

Sf: (surprised) arjun ka coat……..tumhare paas ??

 

 

B: who…..actually mere ghar pe rukh gaye  the........ baarish ke wajay……….thodi der ke liye….tabhi shayad ye coat bhul gaye the……par phir who yahan se chale gaye……..ab wapas aaye hain to socha ki main hi ye coat de doon….

 

 

Sf: Oh (smiles) thank you

 

 

B: mera naam bhumi hai……..aap

 

 

A: oh!! Main shefali!! Arjun ki mangetar(fiance)

 

 

Bhumi is shocked……….Bhumi stands still looking at her…….

 

 

Sf: kya huwa!! Achcha thank you!!

 

 

Saying she shuts the door….

 

 

Bhumi  somehow manages to reach home………after reaching she breaks down……….

 

 

Her head spins………she keeps on crying continuously……….

 

 

Chintu keeps on asking her why she is crying……..but bhumi doesn't answer……..just keeps on crying……...

 

 

She is unable to bear the fact that shefali is arjun's fiance……that he is already someone else's ……………

 

 

Bewafa to use kehte hai jo wafa nahi karte,
              Agar tumse pyar na hota to tumhe bewafa kaise kehte,
Phirbhi tumne mere pyar ka aisa sila diya hai,
               Ke tumhe bewafa kehna bhi bewafai ki tauheen hoti hai...

 

 

That night……arjun and shefali are at home…..

 

 

Arjun is working when……..

 

 

Sf:AAHHHH

 

Shefali falls down the stairs and shouts……

 

Arjun immediately rushes to help and sees her ankles……..she had sprained her ankles….

 

 

A: shefali aaj tum jaakar so jao……..aaram karo……

 

 

Shefali gets up but is unable to walk because of the sprain………

 

Sf: arjun…..nahi ho raha hai….main nahi ja paoongi

 

 

Arjun thinks for a moment and then picks her in his arms……….shefali blushes………

 

 

He picks her up and carries her to the room……..her brings her to the room and puts on the lights……..in the room the curtains are drawn……..

 

 

Bhumi who is sitting near her window crying…..sees this….and is astonished……

 

 

Arjun slowly brings shefali to her bed……..all the while shefali is looking at him lovely….but he doesn't look at her………

 

he places her on the bed and bends to kiss on the forhead in a friendly manner and smiles and switches off the light and says

 

 

A: (still bending) Good night (smiles)!!

 

 

Then leaves the room………

 

 

But for bhumi…..., who was seeing this from her window, all appears from a different perspective……..

 

 

Since the curtains were drawn….so only shefali and arjun's shadow could be seen…..she made up that…arjun bought her in his arms and then……..he…..slept with her…..

 

 

Bhumi starts crying uncontrollably

 

 

B: Hey bahgwan……..yeh…..arjun yeh kaise kar sakta hai……usne mujhe itna bada dhoka diya…..usne mujhe…..mujhse itni badi baat chupayi……

 

 

She rushes to her room and stands in front of her mirror and looks at herself ……and all the memories,which she had spent with arjun comes back….only making her more cry…..
