Chapter 8

Aamir towards the left and Aaliya right next to him on the right, walking down towards the sea.

 

" Do you like the sea?" Aamir asked, not looking at Aaliya.

 

"Yes" came the reply to his question.

 

" Have you noticed the different types of seashells and other things you can find near the sea shore?"

 

" I have noticed some shells at times but I don't know why I don't find interesting."

 

Aaliya did not find seashells fascinating and she knew that it was not the fault of the shells but because she by no means visited the sea often, if she did once or twice it would be solitary, devoid of her parents and thus she never liked them.

 

" Then if you don't mind shall I show you how interesting the seashore can be?"

 

And without waiting for an answer, Aamir took Aaliya by the hand and before Aaliya knew it, she was running along with Aamir towards the seashore.

 

Aamir took some shells in his hand and started to enlighten Aaliya about the different types and the miraculous journey and the source of these things, that Aaliya found unexciting.

 

Aaliya had actually forgotten all her worries while she had a look at yet another lovely creation of Mother Nature, along with Aamir.

 

" Wow, you really know a lot about these shells Aamir, and I never thought that I would ever come to love these things."

 

" Its my hobby Aaliya, I always come down to the beach alone because my parents are impossible just like yours and spend my time having a look at these shells and taking out time to learn about them."

 

Aamir had opened his mouth when they heard a call from the back.

 

" Aamir……. Aamir."

 

Aamir turned around and so did Aaliya. They saw two figures coming towards them.
