"I believe this is yours, Arjuna" Said Krishna, extending a letter towards his friend who had just turned his brother-in-law. The two of them were spending time together in the lap of nature one lovely evening, before Arjuna left for Indraprastha "It has come from the kingdom of Kauravya."

"Kauravya?" Arjuna immediately snatched the letter from the lord of the universe, turning red, making the latter snicker.

The following is what it said-

Aryaputra,

I am being bothered yet amused by the antics of an 11 year old Iravan as I sit down to write this letter; your son, my lord, our son. He is the most mischievous young boy you would ever meet second only to Krishna Bhaiya and more or less a replica of you when it comes to appearance though my friends say he has my eyes. He is chirpy and curious and father makes sure he learns to wield swords and maces along with bows and arrows, his favorites. He is also learning the art of sorcery and never fails to show his interest in reading the scriptures. He doesn't let me miss you, my lord, he ensures I never have tears in my eyes.

I wish you were here and I could see that very smile I fell head over heels in love with when you got to know we were going to be parents. I wish you were here to feel the magic of that moment when Iravan kicked while he was still in my womb, that moment when he was born. I yearn to share the joy I felt when I held him for the first time, up close, the joy of seeing him up on his feet and starting to walk for the first time, with you but I am afraid, I find myself incapable of putting it to words. Now as he is aiming at the rotating target, blindfolded, he reminds me of you doing so with effortless finesse. It has all been beautiful, love, it has all been inexpressibly beautiful, whatever I have witnessed and felt and the only qualm I have is that of not being able to let you delve into them yet I feel you have because you reside in my heart and soul, completing me in every way. My lord, I wish to thank you for giving me a new life, giving me more than I could ever ask for as I run my fingers proudly through our son's hair. As I put an end to my ramblings, my eyes well up in never-ending gratitude as I miss you tremendously.

Hoping to hear from you soon.

Love

Uloopi

Arjuna sniffed as he looked at his dear friend.

"Uloopi writes of our son, Madhava!" He cried, excitedly "She says he reminds her of me."

"He does? Why don't you visit them once you are back in Indraprastha?" Asked Krishna, his eyes twinkling.

"I will, Krishna, I will." He said as his eyes glistened with pride, peace and pining.
