Part 48:

Aliyah(barging into Kripa's room startling her): KRIPA!!  HE CALLED!  HES BACK!!!  Woh.....woh........woh mere bacche ko maar dalega Kripa....woh mujhe bhi maar dalega....Kripa do something....kuch karo Kripa!!  Please....

Kripa: aliyah.....hosh mein aao....Don't freak out like that...relax.....

Aliyah: RELAX?? HOW CAN YOU EXPECT ME TO RELAX WHEN THE WORST FEAR OF MY LIFE IS BACK???

Kripa: I am not expecting you to relax!  I understand how you feel......But please...for the sake of your baby......relax...

Angad: WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?

Josh: ALIYAH...YE MEIN KYA SUN RAHA HOON?

Kripa and aliyah looked at Angad and josh at once.  They stood in the doorway looking quite angry.  Did they hear everything Kripa and Aliyah said?  If they did, how would Kripa and Aliayh face Their husbands' anger?  What would they say to them?  Kripa had tried to put the topic off as much as possible so that she could make a proper explanation to give the guys.  What would happen now?  Aliyah was speechless.  She thought she was going to pass out any second.  her mind filled worries instantly.

Kripa(chocking on her own voice): woh...mein....I...

Angad and Josh started laughing as if there was no tomorrow.  Kripa and Aliyah exchanged looks.

Aliyah: why are you two laughing?

Josh: because baby..we got you....

Kripa: what?

Angad: Tum dono ne humko itna bhagaya hai....iska badla liya humnein....dara diya na tum dono ko?

Josh: you should have looked at your faces!  it was hilarious....

Angad and Josh laughed again while Aliyah gave them the most angriest look and left slamming the door behind her.  The slam of the door made the guys drop back to earth.  They stopped and looked towards the door and saw Kripa heading out as well.

Josh: What the heck?

Angad: uh-oh.....we're in BIG TROUBLE dude.....

Josh swore roughly and walked out into the living room to find Aliyah rushing out the door while Kripa called after her and tried to stop her.  Angad took the ice cream and put it in the freezer and followed the ladies out into the backyard.

Kripa: aliyah...relax....we're lucky unhe kuch pata nahi chala.....varna tum jaanti ho na kya hota...

Aliyah: jaanti hoon Kripa..lekin mujhe apne aap pe itna gussa aa raha hai....It was all my fault..

Kripa: Nahi aliyah....ismein tumhari koi galati nahi thi...sab kuch meri vajah se hua tha...aur agar ab kuch hua...to woh bhi meri vajah se hi hoga....

Aliyah: nahi Kripa....tumhari koi galati nahi thi....woh sab uska kiya karaya tha....mein usse chodungi nahi.....

Kripa: waise....ussne kyun phone kiya tha?

Aliyah: woh keh raha tha ki woh phir se hamari zindagi mein ayega....

Kripa: Lekin yeh kaise ho sakta hai?....woh to jail mein hai na?

Aliyah: nahi...He bribed the officer and managed to get out....and now i am guessing that he is in India because it was a local call...

Kripa: Mein dekhti hoon woh kya karega....Aliyah...ab woh hamara kuch nahi bigaad sakta...Uss waqt hum dono akele the...lekin ab hamare saath Angad aur Josh bhi hai......mom dad aur dadi bhi to hai....

Aliyah: nahi Kripa....yeh ladai mein akele ladungi.....you have been through a lot in you life Kripa...Tum sabko itni khushiyan deti ho lekin kismat ne hamesha tumse tumhari khushiyan cheeni hai....I cant put your life or your baby's life through danger because of the problem he had with me...woh mujhse milna chahta hai....

Kripa: aur tum usse milne nahi jaa rahi...mein tumhe nahi jaane dungi...

Josh and Angad stood a distance away from them wondering if they should go to them or not.  They were probably in foul mood and they didnt want to stress screaming and yelling.  They saw that Aliyah and Kripa were discussing something serious and it seemed as if Kripa were softly scolding Aliyah.  Both men finally gatehred enough courage and went up to them.

Kripa: NO YOU WONT ALIYAH AND THATS FINAL.....I AM GOING TO MAKE SURE YOU DONT....

Josh: You dont what?

Kripa: Bhai...you have to tell her to stop stressing....she wants to go the gym...can you believe that?

Josh: ali baby....you are not going anywhere....why are you being so childish?  Dont you understand that your baby can be put through danger if you work out right now....

Aliyah(thinking to herself): I am sorry josh...tum mujhse itna pyaar karte ho....aur mein tumhe itna bada dhoka de rahi hoon...Hamare bacche ki jaan to waise bhi khatre mein hai....woh kuch bhi kar sakta hai...mein jaanti hoon....ke woh hamare bacche ko hargiz iss duniya mein nahi aane dega....lekin mein uske iraade kamyab nahi hone dungi...

Angad: Josh...i've heard of that program for pregnant ladies...they can go there and have light aerobic workouts that are safe and healthy for both, them and the baby...

Josh: but I am not letting aliyah go alone...

Kripa: she wont be going alone though....I will go too....I will do anything possible to give my baby a healthy life after birth...

"my baby".  Angad giggled softly at her possessiveness about her child already.  Her mother's instincts were starting to kick in already.  She was so careful about what she did, how she walked, slept, and sat.  Angad knew that this time, even if he wasn't around, Kripa wouldn't let anything happen to their baby.  Angad, however, was certain to not leave her side at any cost.

Angad and Josh got their wives into the aerobic program for expectant ladies.  Kripa and Aliyah went to the sessions with their husbands everyday.  They would workout inside with a certified instructor while Angad and Josh would sit on the steps of the building reading books and magazines regarding baby's care before and after birth, or the mother's proper nutrition.  They had even stopped accepting all the wishes Kripa and Aliyah made with their cravings.  yes, they would get yelled at by Kripa and Aliyah so they would find subtitutes instead of the unhealthy foods that they wanted.  Kripa and Aliyah appreciated their husbands for doing so much for them while studying.  Both wives would take the stress load off of their husband's shoulders at night by their gentle pampering since any intense romance was out of for now.

Angad had to be the cutest father-to-be Kripa had ever seen.  he would spend hours talking to their baby while Kripa gently stroked his hair and watched with full affection.  He would sit cuddling Kripa who would sit in his lap for hours just enjoying their presence.  Kripa often complained that she felt like a prisoner in her own house so Angad would go out for 2-3 hours outing in the nearby isolated garden.  The garden was mostly empty except for some aged men sitting around chatting and obviously a few more expectant mothers.  The park was perfect for them since they were no children running around, no crowd and noise.  Just peace and quiet.  The beautiful flower bushes and the beach in view afar were the perfect spots for Kripa and Aliyah.  Both were totally in love with flowers and beaches.  As far as Angad and Josh knew, Aliyah and Kripa were extremely happy and taking things easy.  Little did they know how unhappy and stressed they had been within.  Aliyah kept getting threats from him that he would reach her and Kripa and Kill all four.  Kripa, Aliyah and their babies that is.  Aliyah and Kripa often planned things to meet him but Aliyah always freaked out and they cancelled everything.  When would it come to an end?

Time flew by and within snaps, Kripa was in her seventh month of pregnancy while Aliyah entered her sixth.  Angad and Josh's love and care grew ever second.  They never got tired of running around looking for food items or dealing with the mood swings Kripa and Aliyah had almost everyday.  Kripa and Aliyah tried to contact Anjali so they could invite her for Kripa's godh bharai ritual which was taking place in 5 days but they never reached her.  Had Anjali deleted Kripa and Aliyah from her life?  Was Prachi okay?  Was something wrong?  Anjali had not called back or kept in touch one she moved to hong kong.  Looking at their friendship an year back, one would think that they would be with each other even if separated by death but that wasnt the case.  Anjali and Kripa often felt disappointed that Anjali had broken all bonds.

Kripa: Angad...Thanks...and Sorry.

Angad and Kripa had been sitting on a bench in the lonely park for the past hour silently.  Kripa sitting on the bench while Angad lying on the rest of the bench with his head buried in her lap.

Angad: Why are you sorry?  And why are you thanking me?

Kripa: Thanks for fulfilling all my wishes without getting angry or annoyed and sorry about my abrupt behavior sometimes.

Angad: Kripa...you know...no matter how abrupt you are, your eyes still shower the same love and affection...and its not like you go through those mood swings on purpose...its natural....and about fulfilling your wishes...you have no idea how happy that makes me...I never realized until I saw you in the state that how much a woman has to go through to bring a new life into the world and men dont share any of the pain or frustration...I feel happy that I can at least get you what you need..i mean...thats the least I could do...

Kripa bent down and kissed his lips and whispered "I love you".  Angad reciprocated and buried his face back into her lap.  He felt the peace touched his heart and soul when he was in her lap like that.  After a few minutes, Angad felt a sudden stroke on his cheek.  it didnt hurt, it was very soft, but what took him aback was Kripa's hiss that followed.  he looked up at her to see her expressions.

Angad: Kripa...did the baby just...

Kripa(nodded): yea...it just kicked...

Angad(on cloud nine): is this the first time?

Kripa: yea...i felt the movements in my sixth month but this is the proper "kick"...

Angad: Finally...i can feel my baby too.....

Kripa giggled and cuddled Angad closer.  They stayed there in the same position until they heard some "aww-ing".  Angad looked up and saw Josh-Aliyah along with a few more couples staring at Angad and Kripa.  Kripa blushed a deep red finding herself and her husband the center of unwanted attention.  Angad got up and sat beside her casualy. The other couples commented Angad-Kripa on how cute they looked together and left while Josh and Aliyah stood there smirking.
