Chapter 21

NOTE:  Please excuse any spelling errors in this part....i wrote this part in my half an hr break from studying....i couldnt really think...so it might not be as interesting but i will make up for it once exams are over......PROMISE!

Part 20:

In the mall:

Aliyah and Josh were looking at some sari collection as Naina wanted Aliyah to wear saris through her wedding ceremonies.  Angad and kripa were looking at the lehenga section of the store.  Kripa tried on almost each and every one of the dresses of her size.  Angad would tell her which one suits her and which doesnt.  he said "it suits you" for probably 29 dresses out of 30.  Angad and Kripa finally decided on one aqua coloured lehenga for Aliyah's engagement.  Aliyah chose a sari with two shades of pink that blended in with each other with heavy beadwork on the pallu.  The four met up with Naina and Dilip at the jewlery store to get the soon-to-be-couple's engagement rings.  After looking at tons of designs, josh and aliyah decided on the plain ring with initials carved in gold.  They ordered one that had carved "J" on it for aliyah while the other had "A" on it for Josh.  They finished their shopping and went back home.  Angad and Kripa retired to their bedroom while Josh and Aliyah went out for dinner.  Naina and Dilip sat and made a list other guests who were arriving.

Next morning, things were more hectic as most of the planning was to be done.  Angad and Kripa went to send out invitations to the guests while Naina and Dilip contacted the caterers, the decorators and so on.  Angad and kripa later went to the jewlery store to pick up their orders.  After all the work was done, they went back home in the evening just in time for dinner.  They had dinner and went straight to bed.  Another day until Aliyah's engagement and they will get some rest.  

Tomorrow would be aliyah's engagement.  Everyone was busy decorating the house with garlands, lights and curtains.  They worked together to finish everything.  Everyone was worn out by the end of the second day's preparation.  all the decorations were done.  All the caterer's work and all other orders were done as well.  Naina and Dilip were already asleep while Dadi was asleep in her room.  Aliyah was as usual out with Josh.  Angad was sitting on the couch, leaning his head on the head rest with his eyes closed.  He pressed his nose bridge to relieve himself from the headache.  Kripa was passing from behind him when she saw him trying to press his head.  She slowly walked up to him and put her hands on his forehead.  She started giving him a soothing rub.  After a few minutes, Angad opened his eyes and smiled at Kripa who sweetly smiled back.

Angad: thanks...that felt good...

Kripa(ruffled his hair): you're welcome..

Angad: where are you going?

Kripa: i have to get the rest set up. Mom and dad got tired so i told them to rest.

Angad: lets go....i'll help you.

Kripa: no its ok....you have a headache...go and rest..i'll finish...its not much anyways.

Angad: i had a headache but it went away when your magical hands touched my head......now lets go...get this done.

Angad and Kripa together finished all the other work that had to be done.  After they were done, they decided to sit down and talk.  But while talking..both of them went to sleep.  Kripa's head was resting on angad's shoulder while Angad's head rested on Kripa's head.  After an hour or so, he opened his eyes and discovered Kripa sleeping on his shoulder whlie cuddling his arm just like she cuddles her blanket.  He smiled and carefully got up, lying her on the couch.  He walked around the house to see of anything else had to be done but there was nothing.  He quietly picked Kripa in his arms and started making his way up the stairs.  Kripa opened her eyes when they reached the room.  she looked at Angad and blushed.

Kripa: Angad...mujhe jaga diya hota na..

Angad(put her down on the bed and lay down beside her): kaise jaga sakta tha?  You looked so innocent and at peace when you were sleeping...besides..i knew you were tired.  you have been doing most of the preparations......thanks Kripa....for doing all this for my family.

Kripa: your family?....Angad...this is OUR family...I am your wife remember?  I never took mom and dad as your parents...i always considered them my own.  I have a right to do all this...and i feel happy when i work to help out...especially weddings...i LOVE weddings....they are full of happiness and love.  You get to meet all your family that you dont meet any other day...music, masti, rasmein....mujhe yeh sab bahut accha lagta hai...

Angad: Kripa...you know...we've been married for more than four months..and i never asked you what kind of things you like...

Kripa: I like small things...and nature...I am absolutely crazy when it comes to music...my favourite type of music is romantic and rock...actually rock from one band...evanescence.

Angad: really?...i thought i was the only one who liked that band..

Kripa: I love that band....their songs are awesome, full of feelings...so meaningful...what kind of things do you like?

Angad: typical things a guy would like...cars..music...and i have this weird passion about horror movies..

Kripa: ah...one thing i am not very fond of....they scare me easily...

Angad: even when your with someone?

Kripa: well...i was always alone when we used to watch scary movies...everyone had someone to cling to...i didn't...i was single just like your sister....but aliyah gets bored in scary movies and falls asleep...i usually hug the pillow real tight or hide behind it during a scary movie.......silly..i know...but...it seems like the best thing to hold on to when your alone.

Angad: well...atleast now when we go and watch a scary movie...you will have me to hold on to...

Both looked at each other and giggled.  They got lost in their thoughts until the cuckoo of the cuckoo clock started making a noise indicating it was 12:00.

Kripa: I think we should go to sleep...gotta wake up early tomorrow too...there is a lot going on tomorrow.

Angad: yeah.....we need some rest...good night.

Kripa moved up and kissed his cheek.

Kripa: good night.  sweet dreams.

Angad(mumbled under his breath): about you.

Kripa: tumne kuch kaha?

Angad smiled at her but shook his head as if saying "no".

Angad(in his mind):now i know it.  I just know it.  I like her.  Its not just a crush anymore, its not love yet....but i really like her.  Should I tell her?  what if she doesnt like me back?  we will feel awkward around each other again...it took us so long to adjust with this relaionship...one wrong move and everything can end......what should I do?

Alright guys......this is probably the last part I am posting for a week or so....i MIGHT post one on tuesday but can't promise anything!...Just waiting for these exams to finish and then i can get back with a swing of a part a day (hopefully next semester isn't so busy)...This part was short i know.........but i promise to make up for it once my exams are over!
