Part 19:

Angad woke up in the morning when he sensed something heavy on him.  He looked up to see and his eyes popped out as he saw the situation.  Kripa was lying on top of him, both of them were cuddling each other, tangled in bed sheets and a blanket.  Soon he realized neither had clothes on them.  he didn't know what to do, he couldn't move as Kripa was sleeping peacefully on his well built body.  He laid there, in his current position, still cuddling her, trying to recollect what exactly happened between them.  After a few minutes, kripa's hand on his chest moved, which sent chills down Angad's spine.  The next thing he felt was her head move off of his chest.  Kripa had a headache, and did not recognize the situation right away, but soon opened her eyes when she couldn't get up.  Angad's arms were still around her, stopping her from getting up.  Kripa realized that she was on top of him, She looked at him right away and figured out the rest.  Both of them were quiet as neither knew where to start, neither knew what to say after so much happened.  Kripa looked around to find something to so that she can get out of the cover which was covering Angad at the same time.  Angad understood her mind without her saying it and he moved the bedsheet which was lying beside them.  He covered her in the bedsheet and covered himself with another one.  Kripa got off of him and walked straight into the washroom.  While she was in the washroom, Angad quickly dressed himself.  Meanwhile Kripa had uncovererd herself from the bedsheet.  When she was about to enter the shower, she noticed red marks on her neck and shoulders.  She caressed them as she remembered last night's events.  She felt a tingle in her heart when she touched the marks.  She shook the thoughts out of her head and went to take her shower.  When she came out, Angad was sitting on the bed with his face buried in his palms while his elbows rested on his knees.

Kripa: Angad...

Angad(looked up at kripa): Kripa look im..

Kripa: angad...please.......mujhe iss waqt uss baarein mein koi baat nahi karni....i hope you understand.....

Angad: yeah...i understand.....um...are you feeling alright?

Kripa: yea but i have a bad headache....

Angad: I'm not surprised!

Kripa(confused): what?

Angad: well....you were drunk out of your senses last night.

Kripa: but how is that possible?

Angad: its not your fault.....some guy mixed your drink with alcohol...

Kripa didnt know what to say.  Angad went to the shower while Kripa tied her hair back in a ponytail and packed the bags again.  Angad came out shortly and saw Kripa in the balcony looking at nothingness.  He understood her silence and decided not to mention last night to her again.

Angad: Kripa....chale?

Kripa nodded and followed him out of the room and to the car with her bag.  While they were driving, Kripa was looking outside the window trying to avoid Angad's longing looks.  Angad felt guilty.  he felt as if he had just murdered someone.  They both know they are attracted to each other, they both know they crave for each other's presence, each other's touch, then why does the event of last night, their first union, seem so hollow and full of guilt?  Was it because they have not conveyed their feelings to each other?  or Was it wrong because they took such a step in a drunk state?

Kripa: angad...you mind if i put on the music?

Angad: of course not......which songs do you want to listen to?

Kripa: anything is fine...

Angad pulled out a random CD and played it in his CD player.  The words of the song hit both Angad and Kripa like stones.  As "jaado Hai nasha hai" played in the car, the images of their past from their wedding till last night flashed in front of their eyes.

Kripa: Angad can you stop the car please?

Without any questions, Angad pulled the car to the side and stopped it.  Kripa got out of the car and walked to the edge of a cliff.  Angad followed as he was worried about her.  Worried that she might do something she shouldn't.  When Kripa heard him come, she turned to him right away.

Kripa: Im...im sorry angad...

Angad: Kripa....honestly....its not your fault......you were drunk...you did not even understand what you were saying.......if there is someone to blame...it's me....

Kripa: no angad.....i should have been more careful at the club...if i hadn't drank that drink...none of this would have happened and this awkwardness wouldn't be here.  We were perfectly comfortable with each other until i made the stupid mistake of..

Angad: Kripa...its my fault....look....you were completely drunk....i wasnt as drunk as you were....i had SOME idea of what was going on.....if i had wanted...i could have stopped whatever happened but..

Kripa: you said you were drunk....if its not my fault when i am drunk, then how is it your fault when you were also drunk?

Angad: kripa but..

Kripa: no angad....look...i didnt bring up the topic to argue over it or blame one of us.....i brought it up because i can't stand the silence anymore....it kills me inside when you dont talk to me..

Angad: you know what Kripa....your silence kills me also...I was so scared when you stopped talking...

Kripa took a step forward,hugged Angad around his waist and sobbed quietly.  Angad reciprocated with the same feelings.

Angad: ok...we wont bring up this topic ever again...alright?  we will go back to how we were until yesterday....okay?  I know it won't be exactly like yesterday but that doesnt mean we can't give it a try!

Kripa nodded after Angad cupped her face and wiped her tears.  He dropped his hand around her shoulder and walked to the car.  Both got in as if nothing happened and drove home, chatting.  Yes, they were fine now but everything was very different, their relationship couldn't be called "friendship" anymore, last night had taken their relationship to a whole new level.  As soon as they reached home, around 1:00 in afternoon, they were greeted by Naina and Dilip.

Naina: ek khush khabri hai....

Angad: Kaisi khush khabri?

Naina: tumhe to pata hona chaiye.....phir bhi ek clue deti hoon.......aliyah ka rishta pakka hone jaa raha hai...

Kripa(happy): SACH??  Kahan hai woh dono?

Angad: Kaun dono?

Naina(ignored Angad's question): Andar hai jao......

Kripa ran into the house as fast as she could as Naina and Dilip followed Angad who was rushing behind Kripa. (the order of running..lol: Kripa, Angad, Naina and Dilip).  Kripa went straight to Aliyah who was pacing across the front of the sofa.

Kripa(screaming in excitement): ALIYAH!!!!!!!!!!

Aliyah(surprised): Kripa..oh my god..i have to tell you something...

Kripa: No need to say anything sweetie...i know everything....you know...i always suspected but never knew it would actually be true..

Angad: would one of you tell me what exactly is going on?

Kripa: Should i tell him or will you tell him aliyah.....bhabhi..

Aliyah smiled and blushed while looking down at the floor.

Angad: Bhabhi?  Kripa.....yeh tumhari bhabhi kaise ho sakti hai.....aliyah tumhari bhabhi tab banegi jab woh josh se...(then it striked angad)...oh my god...no way.....aliyah and Josh??????

Aliyah ran upstairs as she knew there was a whole long streak of teasing coming along.  Kripa chased behind her but stopped at her own bedroom to see Josh pacing around nervously.

Josh(talking aloud): Kaise bataunga Kripa ko......angad ko bura laga to?...oh my god......mujhe kripa se pehle hi baat kar leni chahiye thi...

Angad and Kripa silently enter the room looking serious as if they were angry at him.

Kripa(angry tone): Josh.  Ye mein kya sun rahi hoon?

Josh(startled): Kripa..angad....woh....main....aliyah..

Kripa: baat mat karo mujhse.....mein tumse gussa hoon...

Angad: josh..isse pehle ki mein kuch kar bethun...tum jaao yahan se..

Josh(scared): guys listen i..

Before he could finish, Angad and Kripa burst out laughing.

Kripa: bhai.....tum bhi na.....tumhe kya laga tha??  tumhe aur aliyah ko realize hua na, usse pehle mein sab kuch jaan gayi thi..mujhe pata tha aisa hoga..lekin itni jaldi hoga...ye nahi pata tha.....but yea..i am still angry at you.

Josh: why?

Kripa: bhai...mujhe laga tha ki aisa kuch bhi hoga to sabse pehle aap mujhe bataoge....lekin aapne mujhse kuch nahi kaha...so i am a bit disappointed..but its ok...i am happy for you..

Josh(hugged Kripa): thanks.....um....Angad?

Angad: chill man...i am kool with it...i am happy....just like you handed me your sister because you trust me, i am giving my sister to you...because i trust you.  Besides...you two love each other....i dont have the right to separate two lovers.

Angad, Josh came downstairs while Kripa went to get Aliyah.  As soon as the whole family was gathered, pundit started looking at josh and Aliyah's kundlis.  After examining them, he declared that the auspicious day for the engagement was in two days while the wedding was taking place a month from the engagement day.

Naina: accha.....to Kripa...tumhe meri aur dadi ki help karni hogi...akhir tum aliyah ki bhabhi ho aur aliyah tumhari hone waali bhabhi hai...tumhe to do rishto ki rasmein nibhani hai..

Kripa: do nahi mamma....char....Mamma, pappa ki haq ki jimmedari bhi mein hi sambhalungi na?(tears welled in Kripa's eyes)...mamma pappa aaj bahut khush honge....unhe bahut intezaar tha..apni bahu ko dekhneka....aur aliyah ko to woh meri behen hi maante the...

Angad(placed his arm around Kripa's shoulder): Kripa...tumhi ne kaha na ki mamma pappa bahut khush honge?...to phir tum ro kar unhe dukhi kyun kar rahi ho?  chalo....rona bandh karo...tumhe bahut saara kaam karna hai...engagement ke liye sirf do  din reh gaye hai.....I will help you.

Kripa nodded sweetly and gave angad a faint smile as she wiped her tears.

Aliyah: woh sab help baad mein..phele aapko aur josh ko hum ladkiyon ki madad SHOPPING ke liye karni hai..

Angad: SHOPPING??  oh no.........

Kripa: oh yes.

All four got ready and left or shopping as soon as possible as they had a lot to take care of in the next 2 days.
