PART 19
The next day was grueling for the faculty as well as the cadets. The final exams were fast approaching. Naina, Huda, Aalekh, Ali, Yudi, Pooja and other 2nd year cadets were having an even tougher time since their entire future now depended on them faring well in their exams. Poor Riya had to confine herself to her room and entertain herself only with the TV. Even Raj and Naina did not spend much time together, except during classes. Finally, in the evening when Raj returned to his room, he was exhausted. But to his surprise he found a note on the floor, as though someone had pushed it below the door. When he read it, it said:
Capt. Rajveer
Meet me in classroom no.19 at 1900 hrs sharp. Today.
Don't be late.
Raj was extremely puzzled. The senders name was not written and the note was typed. Besides, classroom no.19 was now never used. He looked at his watch and saw that it was almost 7 pm. Taking his gun with him, he quickly left his room. As he got out of his room in a hurry he dashed into someone.
OUCH!!!!!!
It was Pooja in her night dress.
Raj- Cadet Ghai? Aap yahan is waqt kya kar rahe ho?
Pooja- Woh kya hai na sir, humare kamre mein ek note pada tha jisme likha tha ki koi naina aur mujhse classroom no.19 mein milna chaahata hai. Isliye hum wahan ke liye nikal pade.
Suddenly Ali, Aalekh and Yudi came there.
Ali- Hume bhi waisa hi note mila tha.
Aalekh- Apun aur is nautanki ko bhi maila tha. Lekin kisne bheja hai uska naam nahin likha tha.
Raj- iska matlab hai ki who job hi hai, hum sab se milna chaahata hai. Khai theek hai, hum sab saath chalte hai. Magar Naina kahan hai?
Pooja- Woh bas change kar ke a rahi hai. Lo aa gayee.
Raj turned back and saw Naina in her white lacey kurta and black patiala pants. Her hair was open and (as usual) she looked stunning. (Pooja and the rest of the cadets disappeared "mysteriously") Naina seemed surprised at seeing Raj.
Naina- Tum? Tumhe bhi yeh note mila tha kya?
She showed him the note which was the same as Raj's, the only difference being the name of the addressee.
Naina- Tumhe pata hai ki yeh kisne bheja hai?
Raj- No idea. Jaakar hi pata chalega. Shall we?
Both of them walked towards room.19. When they reached there they saw the other cadets standing outside the room, looking uncomfortable.
Raj- Arre? Aap log andar nahin gaye?
Ali- Nahin…. Who kya hai na sir…. Woh…
Aalekh- apun aap hi ka intezaar kar rahe the…
Raj- kyun?
Yudi- Nahin… woh…. Err….
Pooja- arre kya woh woh karke talk time waste kar rahe ho. Main bata ti hoon. Yeh sab ladke jo "army Officers" banna chaahte hai na. who sab andar jaane se dar rahe hai.
Raj looked surprised. Naina started giggling. Ali looked away, blushing, but Aalekh and yudi shot Pooja venomous looks.
Pooja- Ab aise kya ghoor rahe ho? Tum hi to keh rahe the na ki kya pata kisne note bheja hai… koi bhi ho sakta hai… Rajveer Sir ke saath jaayenge….
Rajveer just shook his head in disbelief while Naina just could not control her laughter. Raj opened the door. The room was pitch black. Suddenly it lit up. The empty room was now lined with cushions and mattresses. And in the middle stood Huda, Dr. Shalini and Riya.
"SURPRISE!" they shouted.
Everyone looked stunned.
Riya- Kyun, chauka diya na?
Raj- Yeh sab kya ho raha hai?
Huda- Woh yeh ho raha hai ki aaj mein, riya aur shalini maam ne ek program banaya hai. Ab kuchi dino mein to Riya waapas chale jaayegi aur humare exams ki tayaari shuru ho jaayegi. Phir mauj masti ka waqt kahan milega? To humne yeh decide kiya hai ki aaj ki raat hum maza karege!
Ali- Kya? Lekin hume kuch samajh mein nahin aa raha hai.
Huda- Oye mere usool, dekh. Aal hum mauj mast karege. Plan to mera tha, lekin organize to Riya ne kiya tha. Usne notes prepare kiye aur yahan ka decoration kiya. Aur humari shalini maam ne is classroom ko use karne ki permission ki.
Riya- Arre tum sab khade kyun ho, aao baitho.
Raj- Lekin cadet huda, aap ne mujhe yahan kyun bulaaya hai? Mein to teacher hoon. Tum cadets ke saath kya karoongs?
Huda- Sir ji, mein ne aap ko yahan cadet ki haisiyath se nahin balke…
Shalini- balke aap ko yahan Cadet Singh ke boyfriend ki haisiyath se bulaaya gaya hai.
Raj and Naina blushed while everyone else giggled. They all seated themselves in a circular formation on the comfortable cushions. Riya stood in the missle to explain what they were going to do.
Riya- Beech mein ek bottle spin ki jaayegi. When the bottle stops, whomever the bottle cap points at will have to sing a song for the person whom the other end of the bottle is pointing at. Understood?
Everyone nodded and the game started. The bottle was spun and when it stopped, Pooja had to sing a song for Raj.
Pooja- Kya????? Mein aur Rajveer Sir ke liye?
Huda- kya hua punjaban? Dar gayee? Ya phir yoon kahoon ki teri bas ki baat nahin hai…
Pooja- Oye Jatt… zaban sambhal kar. Mein kisi se bhi nahin darti. Lo abhi gaati hoon.
And she started singing:

Everyone started laughing and clapping whereas Pooja was looking very emabaressed and Raj was blushing.
Yudi- Naina sambhal kar. Ab to tujhe Pooja ke iraade samajh mein aa gaye hoge. Apne Capt. Ko chupa kar rakhna!
This comment was met with 2 sharp blows on Yudi's shoulders, one from Pooja and the other from Naina who were sitting on either side of him. This was met with even more laughter. They spun the bottle again. This time it stopped between Aalekh and Riya. Aalekh had to sing.
Aalekh- Arre…apun ko gaana vaana nahin aata hai.
But when everyone insisted, he started.
Aalekh-
Saamne yeh kaun aaya
Dil mein hui hulchul!
Dekh ke bas ek hi nazar
Ho gaye hum paagal!
Ab bas… apun ko itna hi aata hai.
Everyone laughed and clapped. Rajveer looked at him apprehensively but then just shrugged, knowing that Aalekh was just fooling around. The bottle was spun again. This time Yudi had to sing for Ali-
Yudi-
Yeh dosti….
Hum nahin chodenge…..
Todenge dum magar,
Tera saath na chodenge!!!
Everyone clapped. They never knew that Yudi could sing so well.
The bottle was spun again. This time it stopped between Pooja and Ali.
Pooja- Arre… waapas mujhe hi gaana hoga. Theek hai…
Is deewane ladke ko
Koi samjhaye,
Pyaar mohabbat yeh na jaane,
Kyun yeh ghabraaye?
Darde dil,
Jaane na….
Pas mein jitna jaaoon,
Utni door yeh jaaye,
Jaaye, haan jaaye!

Everyone clapped and laughed, knowing how true her words were.
Huda- Arre usool! Apni bechari punjaaban ko kyun tadpata hai?
Ali- Huda bhai aap kyun hume pareshaan kar rahe ho!
Everyone giggled. The bottle was spun again and this time what everyone had been waiting for happened. It stopped between Naina and Raj. Raj had to sing. Raj and Naina were both looking very embarrassed.
Raj- arre nahin nahin… mein nahin gaa sakta hoon…
Shalini- kyun? Aisa koi law hai kya?
Raj- aisi baat nahin hai…
Shalini- no capt. We are not taking no for an answer. You have to sing.
Raj knew that there was no way out. He took a deep breath and started singing.
