Chapter 3

Part – III

 

ll the cadets were looking for a safe place. Panic could be seen on their faces. The whole atmosphere was filled with shouts, screams & gunshots. Though no one was hurt, all of them panicked. Amongst all the chaos Pooja looked lost. Suddenly she heard someone call her name. She looked back…. it was Naina pointing out towards something & asking her to move. Pooja looked in the direction Naina was pointing & was horrified at the sight…Nair was standing there at a distance with his gun pointing towards her. To add to her horror she felt that she couldn't move……she was frozen. BC & Captain Rajveer came running from BC's office after they heard the firing sounds. Captain Rajveer had his gun in his hand…….but they were late.

There was a gunshot & a shout POOOOOOOOOJAAAAA…………

…..& it was followed by a scream, loud & painful……………………..

& A silence took over…………………….

 

Everyone was horrified…………. Naina had come to help Pooja…..she pushed her aside & both of them fell on the ground & everyone heard that scream. They were taken aback. Naina was in so much pain……she was badly hurt & bleeding………all of them, they did realize within a few seconds that what they just saw was a remarkable example of strength & bravery……..…..Rajveer could feel the pain Naina was going through……..he could see the flashes of Navin dying in front of him.

"This cannot happen…..not to Naina at least…I promised myself that I wont let that happen to Naina. I had to protect her….I owed this to Navin………….".

Rajveer was in a state of immense shock. He immediately ran towards Naina but suddenly stopped. He saw Nair & Ritu escaping from there.

 "They have done this to Navin & now Naina…………………..I cant let them escape….they'll have to pay for this".

Rajveer was badly infuriated & it showed in his eyes. He couldn't think anything beyond this…...It was payback time for Nair & Ritu…..they had to pay for whatever they did to a sweet little family….family that belonged to Navin………family dat was shattered & destroyed with the death of the eldest son of the family……………

 

Rajveer knew this was the time to do something for Navin, this was the time when he could face his own guilt of not being able to help his best friend & his best friend's darling sister……the only girl he has so much loved in his life……..Rajveer raised his gun & aimed at  Nair .

 

There were two gunshots in a row…..all the cadets who have surrounded Naina looked back & saw 2 dead bodies lying on the ground………………….Nair & Ritu were dead……..they all looked at Rajeer who was standing still, at a distance, looked calm. He slowly headed towards Naina…….not ready to see her in that condition………but Naina  was constantly looking at him. He went closer to her….his eyes were wet but  not even a single tear came out. He was still in shock.

"Sir…………….", dat was all she could speak before she finally collapsed. Bt she had a faint smile at her face. She looked content & happy……..and beautiful !!!!Rajveer could feel himself in love with her….all over again. A tear finally rolled down his cheek….

 

 

"Pooja….Pooja……." Pooja's thought was disturbed with this voice calling her again & again…She looked back……It was Ali. Ali could see her in pain. He knew what she was thinking about. Her face was completely covered with tears. Ali went closer to her .He wiped tears from her face.

"Pooja jo ho gaya use bhool jaaeye……Hum jaante hain hum dono ne Naina k saath jis tarah behave kiya woh galat tha……hum galat the, par……….."

"Agar use kuch ho gaya to"…….Pooja interrupted in between.

"Aisa mat kahiye Pooja…….Khuda ne chaha to sab theek ho jaayega …………Aap bas dua kijiye ki Naina jaldi se theek ho jaayen.Naina bahut nek insaan hain…unke saath jo bhi bura hona tha so ho chuka…ab unki zindagi mein kuch bhi galat nahin hoga…….Aap dekhiyega Pooja woh bahut jaldi theek ho jaayengi…….aur unke theek hote hi hum sabse pehle unse maafi mang lenge…..aur hum jaante hain who hamein maaf kar bhi dengi."

 

"Sahi kaha tune……..tum dono ko to Naina maaf kar degi lekin mujhe nahin lagta ki woh mujhe kabhi bhi maaf karegi."…..came a voice from behind. Ali & Pooja turned back & saw a face drenched with tears & covered with guilt…………………
