Part 46

Taani: I don't have a boyfriend, in fact I don't have anyone in my life!

Naina: Atcha atcha theek hai. Tum inta chilla kyun rahi ho?

Taani: Aapse kisne kaha ki Shivam aur mein?

Naina: Tum phone pe ussi ki baate karti thi ki jaise koi projectka kaam hai ye kuch aur. Toh mujhe laga ki he is your boyfriend.

Taani: Mumma aap bhi na. This is so embarrassing!

Rey: I'll have to go.

Niki: Kahan?

Rey: VP sir ka message aaya hai.

Taani: Mein bhi chalti hoon. Shayad koi important kaam ho.

Rey: There's no need. Waise bhi yahan tum busy ho.

His tone certainly alarmed her. But seeing his seemingly calm face she didn't say anything. Rey left for college. After sometime they all were sitting separately and chatting.

Swayam: Rey aise atchanak kyu nikal gaya?

Niki: Taani do you mind explaining?

Taani: What?

Niki: Kuch nahi!

Taani: Isse kya hua?

Sharon: Voh Shivam wali baat.

Taani: But that was a misunderstanding.

Niki: Taani ek baat batana, does Shivam know that your mom thinks that he is your boyfriend?

Taani: Niki voh mumma ki galat fehmi thi. Tum mujhe kyu blame kar rahi ho?

Niki: You better clear it out with her till the time I find Yansh.

Taani: Find?

Niki tried calling him but he was continuously disconnecting her calls.

Niki: Tumhe sachme laga ki usse VP sir ka koi message aya tha?

Swayam: He won't get upset over this Shivam thing.

Sharon: Haan. Rey iss baat ki wajah se toh nahi gaya hai.

Niki's phone beeps: "Nik I'm home. Don't worry."

Taani: Rey ka message hai na? Kahan hai vo?

Sharon's phone beeps: "Team will be in Mumbai in few hours. Call for a meeting."

Sharon: Something is really wrong.

Swayam: Tumhe bhi same message aaya?

Sharon: Haan!

Taani: Koi mujhe batayega Rey hai kahan?

Swayam: Kahan hai voh nahi pata, but something is definitely wrong.

Few hours later. The gang is in college, waiting for Rey.

Vicky: Kisiko pata hai Rey ne hume kyu bulaya hai?

Sharon: Nope.

Simmi: Rey kidhar hai yaar?

Rey: Hello guys!

Taani: Where the hell were you?

Ignoring her questing he continued.

Rey: Atcha hua sab yahin hai.

Nil: Abh tune bulaya toh hum aayenge hi na.

Rey: Good. As I've got two great news for you all.

Neha: What news you telling?

Rey: VP sir wants ki jab new term shuru ho tab we conduct dance classes in college for those interested in dance.

Vicky: Sir ko bol ki hum free mein koi kaam nahi karne wale.

Rey: Kisne kaha ki hum free mein kaam karne wale hai?

Nil: You mean?

Rey: Yes! He is offering us a job. Hum yahan week mein one or two days classes le sakte hai and rest of the days at our academy.

Swayam: That's great news yaar.

Sharon: Sir se jaake keh do that we accept this offer.

Rey: I've already told him.

Aashi: Aur dusri news kya hai?

Rey: Voh toh Sharon and Swayam tumse kahenge.

Simmi: Kya?

Rinni: Bolo na guys!

Rey: Tum dono mein se koi batane bhi wala hai ya directly engagement card dene wale ho?

Gang: Engagement?

Swayam: Haan voh.. humne apne parents se baat ki humare baare mein.

Sharon: And soon we'll be getting engaged.

Everyone started hooting and cheering. Niki narrated the entire scene that happened with the parents. Happiness was clearly visible in everyone's eyes, but two pairs of eyes seemed to lack it.

Vicky: Rey tune kyun nahi bataya? I mean Taani ke parents bhi toh the wahi par.

Rey: Kya kehta?

Rey raised an eyebrow at Taani and said.

Rey: Yeh ki I love your daughter but she is happy not having anyone in her life?

Rey left from there leaving others stunned. Taani ran behind him.

Taani: Rey rukiye. Rey stop please.

She managed to catch his hand in the parking near his car.

Taani: Rey I didn't mean anything of it. Voh mumma.. I.. I just panicked there.

Rey: Panic mein agar tum humare baare mein bata deti toh better hota.

Rey left leaving Taani alone.

The silence in the rehearsal hall was broken by the call on Niki's phone.

Niki: Mom! Hi. Kitne dino baad app call kar rhi ho.

Juhi: Jaise tum toh roz hi call karti ho!

Niki: Hehehe. Aap dono India kab wapis aa rahe ho?

Juhi: Abhi mein Mumbai airport se hi call kar rahi hoon. Socha tha surprise dungi but yahan koi cab available hi nahi hai. Please hume pick karne aa jao.

Niki: Really? But mein kaise aau? Aapke bete ne mujhse car keys cheenli hai. Call him and ask him to pick you up. Mein aap dono se ghar pe milti hoon.

Juhi: Okay. See you soon.

Niki: Di drop me home fast!

Sharon: Calm down. Waise tumne Rey ko call karne bol diya. Uska mood toh pata hai na kaisa tha.

Niki: Haan but mom ke saamne he'll behave normal so don't worry and drop me home fast!

Sharon and Niki came outside the college. They saw Taani leaning on a car and rushed to her.

Sharon: Taani kya hua?

Taani: Sharon vo Rey.

Sharon: Calm down Taani.

Taani: But Rey? He was really upset. Meine intentionally kuch nahi.

Niki: Taani give him some time.

Taani: Niki mujhe Rey se baat karni hai. Please.

Niki: I don't think aaj..

Taani: Please Nik.

Niki: Mein kuch karti hoon. Tum abhi ghar jao.

Rey, Niki, Juhi and Rannvijay [Rey and Niki's parents] were spending some quality time together. Rey told them about Sharon's soon to be engagement. Juhi insisted on meeting Sharon but Rey was not in the frame of mind to meet anyone. He wanted to just lock himself up in his room but was sitting there just so his parents don't get to know that he was upset. Niki immediately came up with an idea. She knew that Swayam and his parents were at Sharon's place discussing about the date and venue for the engagement. She convinced her parents to visit Sharon on the same day. Rey excused himself convincing them that he was too tired to come. Niki called up Taani and told her that Rey was alone at home and she could come home to visit.

Oh the way, they stopped to get a gift for Sharon. Niki's gaze fell on some gadget which Shivam wanted from a long time but it wasn't available then. Juhi caught her gaze and questioned.

Juhi: Kiske liye buy karna chahati ho?

Niki (whining): Mom..

Rannvijay: Stop whining and answer your mom. Mein tumhe kabse observe kar raha hoon, kuch toh different hai. Yeh voh jhalli Niki nahi hai. Kaun hai vo jisne tumhe sudhara hai?

Niki: Dad aap bhi mat shuru ho jao.

Dad: Jab Rey ne kaha ki vo tired hai toh you didn't insist him to come like always. Itni maturity kaise aagayi?

Niki: Kuch bhi haan dad. And voh gadget mein Yansh ke liye dekh rahi thi.

Juhi: Tum uss ladke ka naam batane wali ho ya abhi Rey se jaake puchu?

Feeling defeated she spoke out.

Niki: Shivam.

Rannvijay: Kuch sunai nahi diya.

Niki: Shivam Singh.

Juhi: There you go.

Niki: You guys are so evil!

Rannvijay: If you say so. Usse call karke keh do ki aaj hum dinner saath karenge.

Niki: Dad? 

Rannvijay: I'm serious. Come on call him.

They reach Sharon's place and congratulate her and Swayam. They all have a gala time together reminiscing about their old days.

Sharon: Aunty aap itne jaldi kyu nikal rahe ho? Dinner karke hi jao na..

Juhi: Some other day. Aaj bohot important kaam hai.

Sharon: Kya?

Juhi: Tum kisi Shivam ko jaanti ho?

Sharon: Niki?

Niki: They forced it out of me. Mein kya karti? Aur abhi uss bechare ko heart attack de diya yeh bolke ki hum dinner pe aa rahe hai. Can you imagine?

Sharon: Oh I love you guys! Rey ko nahi bataya? Kitni khushi hoti usse yeh sunkar!

Niki: Tum sab kitne mean ho.

Sharon: Tumhe toh bas Shivam hi sweet lagta hai, hai na?

Niki: BYE!
