Chapter 11

 Chapter Nine, part 1

Angad slowly turned to Kripa to see she was O.K. He was relieved, same thoughts were running in her mind. She hugged him tightly, scared and nervous what if something has happened. Angad's body rested on wood as Kripa pressed him.

 

One of the police officer who shot it to see any movement or scream in the forest so that they can see the runners but to his avail there was no movement and gestured his follower to keep looking.

 

He understood her fears, her touch as she continued to hold him. "Are you sure you are not going to strangle me?" he whispered to her.

 

Kripa felt shiver run down her body as she felt his hot breath on her neck. She looked at him furiously, what was he trying to do? Be a clown at this situation, and shook his head. A smile appeared on his face as he saw her back to her normal.  Just then they heard footsteps coming near to them, they froze, their eyes looking at each other with sudden fear.

 

Angad pulled her close to his body and wrapped his arms around her tightly whilst Kripa did the same. They stood still, hearing each other's heart beating.

 

The police officer could no longer see the sign and suddenly turned back and went away with his foot steps sound fading away. When they were not heard any longer, Angad Kripa pulled apart.

 

"That was too close!" Angad said breathing a sigh of relief.

 

"Now what are we going to do in this jungle." Kripa said looking around. "If we go back they will lock us back, knowing them they would still be guarding that place."

 

" OF course Kripa we will climb on ropes and swing around like Tarzan does!"

 

Kripa gave sarcastic laugh and sighed. She placed her hand around her hips, "Angad come on we don't have to spend the night here in the middle of jungle"

 

"Sure we do!"

 

"What!" Kripa screamed.

 

"Ohhh Are you scared that some lion is going to eat you up!"

 

"Shut up" Kripa said angrily.

 

Angad gave a teasing smile, "You're scared of animals?"

 

"I am NOT" Kripa said

 

"You Are, come on Kripa, what it is, Lion, Snakes…"

 

"There are snakes?" Kripa asked with a hint of frightening, yet showing I am all brave altitude.

 

"So you are afraid of snakes?"

 

"I am not" she said, folding her arms on her chest.

 

He smiled to himself. He found himself starving, As if Kripa read his mind, "We don't even have anything to eat, I am hungry."

 

He nodded and they walked together ahead teasing each other. Just then Angad screamed making Kripa jump, "Kripa look, there's a snake on your side!!"

 

With out looking on that side, Kripa clung on to Angad's shoulder and screamed loudly that Angad felt he was going to be deaf the very next minute. At the same time he could not stop himself laughing.  

 

Kripa realized he has played a joke on her, she started hitting him. "oww, Kripa stop it! You hurt like a man!"

 

Kripa gave him a dirty look and started walking ahead of him. Angad smiled.  It's been five minutes no one has talked to each other. It is as if both are waiting for each other to take the first step. Finally after so much impatience, "Come on Kripa, I was only joking!"

 

He catches up to her but Kripa was stubborn, walked faster. Angad catches up to her. Kripa broke up to run and was way ahead of him. Angad sighed, she was too stubborn but too cute as well. He liked her the way she is. He looked ahead to see no sight of her can be seen. He got worried and upset.

 

He ran ahead, there was no sign of her. He screamed her name certain times but still no sign of her. Getting more worried and upset, he started cursing himself for playing the stupid trick on her.

 

Coming up: The main turning point of my story is not toooo far. It's getting very near and interesting.

 

I know this is a short part but this is all I can write now.  Merry Christmas to all my readers. I know its winter holidays but I have got exams coming up, so I can't write longer parts as usual I do. Hope you enjoyed this.
