Chapter 6

 

Here is  Part Six

 

  The coming days were filled with hard work and returning home tired. A case came around that would require a cardiac-thoracic surgeon. Abhimanyu was the only one with experiences and training. The problem was, who would convince him to do the surgery and why had he left surgeries behind.

 

 Nikita realized Abhimanyu was the only one who could save  this patient.

 

" Abhi ek case hai. Sirf tum usse bach sakte ho," she stated.

 

He turned to face her stunned.

 

" Main kaise?"

 

" You have to do the surgery otherwise he'll die," she stated solemnly.

 

 Abhi shook his head.

 

" I can't do it Nikki. You don't know but I just can't," he stated.

 

" You have to Abhimanyu Modi. We all have taken an oath to save lives. Are you going to let this man die?"

 

 He looked at her aghast.

 

" Nikki this isn't the time for me to explain but I'll  not be able to make things better for this patient!," Abhi declared.

 

 He grabbed her by the shoulders in this process.

 

 She looked at him firmly.

 

" Agar main tumare saath hoon toh hum jeet sakte hain!," she declared.

 

 He stared at her motionlessly.

 

The look in her eyes assured him he had to take this risk.

 

 Armaan had said that Abhi couldn't do it and others in the hospital had always doubted Abhimanyu's skills. In fact Nikita herself at one point had doubted him. But in recent months she realized there was more to this man that her eyes had seen on first glance.All of Sanjeevani stared in awe as they  both got ready to go into the OR  to perform the surgery.
