Chapter 31

Previously

 

Kripa gives the assistant a hug then leaves, she hears the assistant talking and then hears her voice on the tape, Kripa smiles to herself and rushes home to find the evidence

 

Kripa stepped out of the taxi and looked at the driveway, it was empty, she smiled and headed for the front door, she opened it slowly and stepped in, closed the door behind her and went upstairs, she stood in front of Prithvi's door praying he hadn't locked it before he went, her prayers were answered as the door slid open as Kripa pushed it

 

K - brilliant

 

Kripa stepped into the room and looked around, Prithvi's desk was filled with various files

 

K (thinks) - so many files how can I find the right one....heck I don't even know what i'm looking for

 

Kripa walked to the desk and began looking at the files, most of them were regarding the company, she put them aside and looked again when she heard the front door open

 

K (thinks) - crap, i'm meant to be at the fitters....hide Kripa hide....

 

Kripa looked around her for someplace to hide, she heard footsteps coming up the stairs, Kripa quickly got on the floor and hid under the bed, she saw shoes by the door, she looked at the face and it was Prithvi

 

P - hmm could have sworn I shut this door....never mind...oh yeah the shirt

 

Prithvi went to his cupboard and took a shirt out and went to the door, he took a look at the room, shook his head and left the room and locked it from the outside. Kripa waited until she heard the front door shut before getting up

 

K - that was close...

 

Kripa continued searching through the files, she opened the drawers and found nothing, she then found a drawer which wouldn't open, she looked around for a key and found it in a box, Kripa opened the drawer and smiled finding the file needed, she opened it revealing the statement of Swayam which had put Sujal in trouble in the first place. She also found copies of emails sent from Swayam to his friend who had got the marriage certificate made, she held the file in her hand and locked the drawer and put the key in the box and put the box where she found it.

 

K - come on Kripa lets get out of here

 

Kripa headed to the door, she tried opening it but as it was locked, it wouldn't open

 

K - oh crap what now....

 

Kripa went to the window and looked outside, there was no way she was going to jump, but she had no choice, Kripa breathed deeply and called Angad

 

K - hey

A - I told you not to call until you have the evidence

K - I do

A - you do? thats great

K - but theres one problem

A - what?

K - i'm locked in Prithvi's room and there's no way out except the window, and I need to get back to the fitters

A - so jump

K - but Angad....I'm scared

A - awww so cute, ok wait there i'm coming

K - hurry up

 

Kripa sat on Prithvi's bed while Angad left the house, he got into his car and drove to Kripa's house, he walked around the back and looked at the house

 

A - which one's his room?

 

Angad took out his phone and called Kripa

 

A - stand by the window

K - ok....

 

Kripa stood by the window and saw Angad, he smiled and waved at her and hung up. He went to the pipe and began climbing up, Kripa opened the window

 

K - Angad be careful

A - I will if you don't talk

 

Angad continued climbing until he got to the window, he put his hand out

 

A - the file

 

Kripa handed him the file, he put it in his pocket then took her hand

 

A - ok put your leg out, carefully

 

Kripa put her leg out while Angad held her

 

A - ok now get on my back

K - you serious?

A - just do it, put your leg behind my back

 

Kripa did as she was told and got onto his back, she shut the window, Angad climbed down the pipe with her on his back, once they got to the ground Kripa jumped off his back and hugged him

 

K - I don't know what I would do if you weren't here

A - yeah yeah now hurry up and get back to the fitting, once I know there's no more evidence I'll call you and we'll leave

K - ok

A - come I'll take you

 

Angad and Kripa went to the front and got into Angad's car, he drives her to the fitters and drops her a road away

 

K - thanks Angad

A - its ok

 

Kripa smiled and kissed his cheek and left the car, Angad smiled and drove off. Kripa quickly ran to the back of the fitters shop and entered through the door, she saw the assistant sitting down talking to the recorder, Kripa smiled at her, she shut the recorder off and went to Kripa

 

As - thank God you're here maam, your mother kept asking for you

K - its ok, I'm here now, and thank you for everything

As - its ok, any friend of Angad's is a friend of mine

K - thanks, so what am i meant to be wearing?

As - this

 

The assistant handed Kripa her dress for the wedding party, Kripa put it on and opened the door

 

G - Kripa finally you took so long

K - sorry, we were just making sure everything was fine

G - ok is everything done now?

K - yeah

G - lets go then, Prithvi needs to try his clothes on

K - ok mama I'll be out in a bit

 

Kripa changed into her clothes and went with her mum and Prithvi so he could try his clothes on. When they got home Kripa got a message from Angad saying that every piece of evidence was there, Kripa smiled to herself, at night she began packing her things when she got a call from Angad

 

A - you ready?

K - yeah everythings packed

A - ok, I'll meet you below your window ok

K - do I have to climb down again?

A - you never climbed, I did and yes you do because we need to get out as soon as possible before Prithvi finds out the evidence is gone

K - ok hurry up

 

Kripa looked outside the window and threw her backpack so it landed on the grass, she saw Angad's car coming and began to get out of the window, she put her foot on the pipe, Angad got out of the car and picked her bag up and watched her so she wouldn't fall, Kripa put her other foot on the pipe and began to slowly climb down, meanwhile Prithvi is in his room, he gets his key and opens the drawer to find the files missing, he looks around but doesn't find them, he then remembers how he found the door open before and wonders who was there. Meanwhile as Kripa is climbing down...

 

A (whispers) - hurry up! we don't have all night

K (whispers) - ok ok i'm coming

 

Kripa slipped on one of the pipes and Angad rushed to the bottom of the pipe

 

A (whispers) - Kripa...be careful

K (whispers) - Angad I'm slipping

A (whispers) - ok, just let go of the pipe

K (whispers) - are you insane! I'll hit the ground!

A (whispers) - just do it!

 

Kripa lets go of the pipe and begins to fall, she closes her eyes thinking she is going to hit the ground when she feels two strong arms wrapped around her, Kripa opens her eyes one by one to find Angad grinning at her

 

A - stop being scared now, we have to go

 

Angad puts Kripa down and they both go to his car, just as they get into the car, the front door of Kripa's house opens and Prithvi stands there watching them get into the car

 

P - Kripa!

K - Angad....what now?

A - your belt on?

K - yes

A - well hold on tight

 

Kripa looks at Angad and before she knows it, Angad revs the engine and zooms off, Prithvi grabs his keys and gets into his car to chase them

 

coming up - the car chaseand one accident....but who?
