Kripa walked off, Angad groaned

 

A - Kripa come back!

 

Angad followed her into the hallway but Kripa slammed the front door shut as she left the house.

 

 

Angad waited for Kripa to return home, he spent time doing odd things like watching tv, surfing the internet, he was sitting on the sofa doing some things on his laptop when he heard the door bell, Angad shot up and ran to the door and opened it, he smiled seeing Kripa but then got angry

 

A - where the heck were you! do you know how worried I was?

 

Kripa smiled at his concern and kissed his cheek, Angad tried not to smile and continued looking at her angrily, Kripa shut the front door and went into the living room with Angad following her, she sat down and put the tv on, Angad looked at her with his mouth open then stood in front of the tv

 

K - i'm watching that

A - I.....

 

Angad turned around and turned the tv off and looked at her

 

A - ..don't care, now answer my question, where were you?

K - out

A - right, that narrows it down, Kripa tell me

 

Angad sat by her and put his arm around her

 

K - I just needed to be alone

A - ok, are you still angry?

K - no, Angad I know you just want mum to be happy, and i'm glad you're concerned about mum's happiness

A - and yours

K - yeah...so have you thought about what we're going to do

A - I didn't....but mum did

K - what?

 

As if on cue Naina appeared by the doorway and entered the room

 

N - I'll tell you

 

Naina sat on the other side of Kripa and took her hands into hers

 

N - since you don't want to go through with this marriage, I've decided to talk to your mum and have her postpone the marriage

K - how?

N - I still have two unmarried boys older than Angad, naturally I want to get them married first. I will simply tell Gayatri that before Angad can get married traditionally, I will get Sujal and Kavya married

K - and if mum doesn't listen

N - she will, she's a mother, she knows what it feels to see her child get married and she will not refuse me that feeling

 

Kripa hugged Naina

 

K - thanks aunty

 

Kripa kissed her cheek and went upstairs, Angad smiled while watching her leave, Naina looked at him

 

N - stop staring at her

A - oh...yeah sorry

N - so have you decided what you're going to do?

A - about what?

 

Naina hit his head lightly

 

N - about convincing Kripa to marry you

A - oh, don't worry about that mom, you just get Sujal bhaiya and Kavya bhaiya married. I'll worry about my marriage

 

Angad grinned at his mom. The next morning at the Sharma's, Gayatri was making endless calls arranging things for the wedding, Surya realised this and decided to inquire about it

 

Su - Gayatri

G - yes?

Su - what's all the planning for?

G - Kripa and Angad's wedding

Su - what!

G - what do you mean what? I want our daughter to have a traditional marriage

Su - no, I'm not agreeing to this

G - why not Surya? she's our daughter, it is our duty

Su - and it was her duty to get married when we had wanted her to

G - but she's legally married to Angad and we can't change that. Besides Kripa is a child, she makes mistakes and as parents it is our duty to forgive them

Su - she didn't make a mistake she betrayed us

G - enough Surya, no matter what you say I am getting my daughter married

Su - but Gayatri...

G - no buts! you cannot stop me, I'm her mother.

 

Gayatri continued planning for the wedding when Naina came to their house, Gayatri greeted her and invited her into the living room

 

G - what can I get you?

N - nothing, I came to talk about Kripa and Angad's wedding

G - yes, I have made many arrangements, just let me know when the wedding will be fixed for....

N - Gayatri stop please

G - what is it?

N - I want you to stop planning for the wedding

G - what? what are you talking about?

N - I don't mean permanantly, more like postpone it

G - why?

N - well its Kavya and Sujal

G - what about them?

N - they're engaged, and I had always wished for them two to get married before Angad. I know Angad got married first legally but tradtionally I want Sujal and Kavya to get married, I cannot sideline them for Angad, they deserve the same happiness that Angad does, I hope you understand

 

Gayatri smiled

 

G - of course Naina, in fact it will give me more time to plan the wedding, you get Sujal and Kavya married and then we will get Angad and Kripa married

N - thank you

 

Naina hugged Gayatri then left, she returned home and informed the family that Gayatri had agreed

 

Ka - great so we'll be getting married soon?

L - hey bruv, what's up, getting a bit too impatient now hey?

 

Lakshya nudged Kavya but stepped back as he put his hand out to hit him

 

N - ok so we'll talk to the Sinha's and the Nanda's and have the boys' marriages fixed

D - ok so Angad, Lakshya, Kripa, the wedding preperations are your responsibility, I want this marriage to be the best

A - of course dad

 

Sujal and Kavya smile and hug Naina and Dilip, they both began imagining their weddings when Angad snaps them out of their thoughts

 

A - don't get lost in your thoughts straight away guys, there's still a little time left

Ka - shut up, you'll be the same

S - will be? he already is, everyone can tell the only thing he thinks about is when he will marry Kripa

A - what? me? no!

L - they're right bruv

A - you shut up...I do not think about that.....all the time

Ka - so you admit you think about it?

A - no....yes...argh go away!

 

Angad stomped out of the room, the others guys laughed before heading out of the room after him, Kripa watched all of this from the garden and wished the family's happiness stayed intact forever

 

coming up - Sujal-Kashish/Kavya-Anjali's weddings!
