A - I'll marry Kripa.....or I'll convince Prithvi that we are already married

S - are you sure?

A - we don't have any other option, I won't let him ruin her life any more than he already has

Ka - in that case...either you ask Kripa to get married or you come up with a way to obtain a fake marriage certificate, if Prithvi is adamant he will want proof

S - I can take care of that

A - I'll talk to her

Angad left the room and went to see Kripa who was resting in his room, he shut the bedroom door and sat on the bed and looked at Kripa sleeping

 

A - Kripa

 

Kripa opened her eyes and smiles at Angad

 

K - yeah

A - how are you feeling?

K - I'm ok, you?

A - I'm fine, I wanted to talk to you

 

Kripa sat up

 

K - what is it?

A - It's about Prithvi

K - what about him?

A - he won't rest until he gets you back

K - I know

A - well...I sort of have an idea, to stop him

K - what?

A - marry me

 

Kripa looked at him shockedly

 

K - are you serious?

A - like never before, I love you Kripa and I will not let that jerk harm you in any way, this is a way to stop him

K - Angad....

A - marry me

K - no

 

Angad stepped back, Kripa stood up and took his hand in hers

 

A - but Kripa

K - I love you Angad, from the bottom of my heart

A - then why...

K - because I don't want you marrying me just because of Prithvi

A - you don't want to marry me?

K - I do...one day, because I love you, I want us to get married because we want to not because you want to save me from Prithvi, I don't want you marrying me so that Prithvi doesn't

 

Angad smiled and hugged her, he kissed her forehead

 

A - I love you so much, but you're right, I don't want us to get married under these circumstances

K - you're not mad?

A - of course not, guess we'll have to go with plan B

K - plan B?

A - since we're not going to get married we may as well act married

K - huh?

A - Prithvi wants to marry you and I'm not going to let that happen so if he asks then we will tell him that we're married

K - he'll want proof

A - Sujal bhaiya will take care of that, but you agree to this right?

 

Kripa smiled and hugged him

 

K - yeah

A - good

 

Angad kissed her cheek and turned around to leave the room when Kripa held his hand

 

A - yeah?

K - thanks, you're the best you know that

A - I know and no thanks

 

Angad smiles and leaves the room, he goes downstairs where the rest of the family is, Naina stands up

 

N - what happened? what did Kripa say?

A - she said no to getting married but she's willing to fake it, so bhaiya can you....

S - I'll do it, it will take a few days and it will cost me

A - how much?

S - I'm not sure

A - ok

 

Angad takes out his chequebook and hands Sujal a blank signed cheque

 

A - you can fill it out when you know how much it costs

S - ok, I better get going

 

A few days later Sujal leaves the house to get the marriage certificate, Angad sees him out, Kripa comes down and Angad tells her Sujal has gone, Kripa puts her arm around him and walks into the garden with him, they sit on the bench, Angad holds her hand and she rests her head on his shoulder

 

K - Prithvi's here....my family will be here soon enough

A - nothing will happen to you Kripa, you have me

K - I know, and I'm thankful for you Angad, you're amazing

 

Angad smiles, Kripa leans up and kisses him softly, Angad pulls away and hugs her. Meanwhile Sujal arrives at the magistrates court, he goes inside

 

S - hi I'd like to meet Swayam Shergill

Rec - do you have an appointment?

S - no but if you tell him Sujal Khanna is here to see him, I'm sure he'll want to see me

Rec - one moment sir

 

The receptionist picks up the phone receiver and talks to someone on the other end, she then hangs up

 

Rec - you may go

S - thank you

 

Sujal takes the stairs to the second floor, he finds the door labelled "Swayam Shergill LLB" Sujal knocks on the door

 

Sw - come in

 

Sujal opens the door, Swayam (Vikas Sethi) turns around in his chair, he gets up and hugs Sujal

 

Sw - dude what brings you here?

S - I need help, urgent and against the law kind of help

 

Swayam shuts the door and sits down with Sujal

 

Sw - what is it?

S - its Angad

Sw - is he in trouble?

S - no....he has a girlfriend Kripa, and she ran away from home because she was meant to marry this guy Prithvi but found out he was after her money and now she doesn't want to marry him

Sw - ok....go on

S - she's in love with Angad now and Angad loves her, but her ex fiance Prithvi is here and he won't leave any stone unturned to get Kripa back and Angad won't let that happen, he asked Kripa to marry him but she said no so Angad wants to fake the marriage by getting a fake marriage certificate....thats where you come in

 

Swayam stood up and sat on the edge of his desk and folded his arms

 

Sw - Sujal you're my best friend, I've known you since we were kids.....but I can't do this, I'm a lawyer, its against my profession, hell its against the law, I can lose my job

S - I know Swayam, but you know I wouldn't have come to  you if it wasn't important, Angad loves her and will do anything for her, even kill Prithvi, heck he almost killed him earlier this week at mom's birthday party

 

Sujal tells Swayam what happened at the party

 

S - if Angad sees Prithvi again he will kill him, do you want my younger brother to go to jail?

Sw - no....never, I've treated your family like my own...ok I'll do this but if my name comes into any of this, I'll deny it

S - of course Swayam

Sw - this isn't going to come cheap

S - I know, I have a blank signed cheque, just tell me the amount and I'll fill it in

 

Swayam thinks for a while and makes a few phonecalls

 

Sw - ok I can get the job done, my guy is asking for 2000 but I convinced him to do it for 1000

 

Sujal nods his head and fills out the cheque and hands it to Swayam

 

Sw - ok wait here, I'll be back in half an hour

 

Sujal waits while Swayam goes, half an hour later the door opens and Swayam hands Sujal the certificate

 

Sw - it just needs Kripa's and Angad's signatures on it, and then they will officially unofficially be husband and wife

S - thanks Swayam

 

Sujal hugs him

 

S - I owe you one, bigtime

Sw - consider it repayment for all those times you saved my butt in college

 

Sujal smiles and looks at the certificate, he thanks Swayam again then leaves the office and heads home. He goes inside and goes to the living room where Angad, Kripa, Lakshya and Kavya were watching tv. Sujal puts the certificate in Angad's lap

 

S - sign it

A - you got it done?

Ka - let me guess...Swayam

S - who else

L - let me see

 

Lakshya looks at the certificate and hands it to Kripa

 

K - so just for the record...it's not a real marriage

A - no its not, its a fake...real marriage if that makes sense, we'll just have to act like we're married when Prithvi or your family is here

K - ok, Lakshya can you pass me that pen?

 

Lakshya hands her the pen, Kripa signs then hands it to Angad who also signs. Sujal signs as witness for Angad

 

K - I'll call Sahil to sign as my witness

 

Kripa gives Sahil a call and explains everything to him, soon he arrives to the Khanna house and signs the certificate. Angad hands it to his parents

 

D - it looks original

S - thats the whole point dad

Ka - now when Prithvi or Kripa's family come here they'll have no reason to suspect anything

L - speaking of her family....

 

Lakshya points outside the window where Prithvi along with Kripa's parents and her brother Nishant (Hiten Tejwani) step out of a car and head towards the main door.

 

coming up - will they fall for the act? or will they call Angad's bluff?
