Kripa laughed, Naina and the guys smiled to see Kripa looking happy, Lakshya put his arm around his brother

 

L - whatever you did...it worked

A - yeah

 

Angad watched Kripa laugh and smiled, he would make sure she smiled like this forever

 

The next day Angad woke up to find his brothers arguing in his room, he looked at the bed and Kripa had gone, he sat up and looked at his bickering brothers

 

A - shut up!

 

His brothers looked at him

 

A - if you lot want to wake up early, be my guests but why ruin my sleep?

L - its Sujal bhaiya's fault!

S - what? all I said was for Lakshya to take mom out

L - but I want to go to the party early!

A - ok!!! Lakshya you can go to the party

Ka - and mom?

A - simple....Kripa will take her somewhere, now stop all the noise and get out!

Ka - dude you still need to wake up early, we need to sort out the last minute details for the party

 

Angad groaned and stood up

 

A - do you live to ruin my life?

Ka - yes now go have a shower, ugh God knows how Kripa puts up with you

A - take that back bhaiya

S - Kavya say sorry

Ka - sorry....but go!

 

Angad grabbed his towel and headed for the bathroom,after he showered he went downstairs where Kripa was having her breakfast in the kitchen, he came in and took an apple

 

A - why do you wake up so early?

K - why don't you?

A - very funny....listen you need to take mum out somewhere.....for the rest of the day while we finish the party things

K - cool

 

Kripa put out her hand

 

A - what?

K - money.....I need to get some things for myself aswell...so....

A - women

 

Angad took out his wallet and took out some money but Kripa grabbed his wallet instead

 

K - I'll give it you back later

 

With that she walked out leaving Angad standing there with his mouth open, he looked at the mere 1000 rupees he had in his hand and rolled his eyes and put it in his pocket, he went into the living room where Lakshya was watching tv

 

L - bro

A - yeah?

L - can I bring a friend to the party?

A - I don't see why not....who is it?

L - a guy I met last week....pretty decent

 

Lakshya was about to say his name when Naina came inside looking happy well why wouldn't she, it was her birthday

 

A - hey mom why you looking so happy for? you won the lottery?

N - no I......do you know what day it is today?

A - yep

N - really?

A - yeah....saturday

N - huh? but is there anything special about today?

A - .....Lakshya anything?

L - yeah i think so

N - really? what?

L - .....hmmm nah i got nothing

N - ugh

 

Naina left looking angry, Angad and Lakshya grinned at each other, Naina went into the kitchen and began opening and closing cupboards, Kripa came inside

 

K - aunty...why are you attacking the kitchen?

N - huh? no its nothing

K - ok then....are you busy?

N - no why?

K - I need to go shopping, Kashish Di and Anjali Di are busy so I was wondering if you would come with me?

N (mutters) - its better than staying here where no one even remembers my birthday

K - did you say something?

N - no let me get my bag

K - ok

 

Naina went upstairs, Angad came in and kissed Kripa's cheek

 

A - thanks girlfriend

K - I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't need some things for myself

A - yes you would

K - why?

A - because you love me

K - where did you get that idea from?

A - bad joke Kripa

K - im not joking

A - Kripa! say that you love me!

K - ok.....you love me

A - no I meant say I love you

K - awww you do, that's so sweet!

 

Kripa kissed his cheek and left him calling out to her, Lakshya came inside laughing

 

L - she's worse than you

A - shut up!

 

Lakshya ran away before Angad could hit him, Kripa and Naina leave for shopping as soon as Dilip sees their car out of range him and the boys leave to go to the party venue. They reach there

 

L - wow this place looks great

S - thank you

Ka - the catering is all sorted as well as the waiters

D - brilliant, Angad did you take care of the DJ?

 

Angad who was playing on his mobile looked up at his dad

 

A - the DJ....wasn't Lakshya meant to do that?

L - no! I took care of inviting all the guests....the DJ was your job!

S - Angad....you did book a DJ didn't you?

Ka - please say you did

A - erm...you see.....I was meant to but.....I erm forgot

S - Angad!!! you're an idiot you know that

D - now what?

Ka - well this is Angad's mess, he can clean it up

D - Angad I swear if you can't find a DJ in time for the party I will make you sing up there!

 

Angad smiles

 

A - that would be my pleasure dad

D - not with the music list I have planned

 

Angad's face dropped

 

A - I'll do something, chill guys

 

Angad made some calls to some friends who were DJ's but all of them were booked

 

A - I'm dead.....Lakshya my brother, you usually have good ideas....help your bhaiya please

L - and what will I get out of this?

A - well you won't get beaten up...which is what will happen if you don't help me!

L - that works for me, I'll make some calls to my people

A - what are you? the Godfather?

L - yes if that's what you want to call me

A - well go on then Godfather...go work your magic

 

Lakshya smiled and took out his phone, he called some friends and luckily a friend of his Jake was available for the night and agreed to DJ the party for half the amount he would usually charge

 

L - bro your problem is solved

A - brilliant

 

Angad hugged him and gave him a big kiss on his cheek, Lakshya pushed him away

 

L - when is Kripa getting here with mom?

A - I don't know, but I'm going home to get changed

L - what's wrong with what you're wearing?

A - this....this isn't party wear, this is breakfast wear

L - I don't care if you're going home then take me with you

A - come on then, its the least I can do

 

Dilip saw the boys about to leave and stops them

 

D - is the DJ sorted?

A - yes dad

D - have all the guests been invited

L - yes dad

D - are you going home?

A - yes dad

D - no you're not....not yet anyways, you are going to help the waiters set the tables up, ok?

A/L - yes dad

 

Angad and Lakshya frown and quickly help out with the tables then rush outside before Dilip stops them again, they go home and Angad changes into a white suit with a light pink shirt, Lakshya changes into a pink shirt and blue jeans, Kavya and Sujal also come home, Sujal changes into a black suit with a white shirt and Kavya changes into a dark grey suit with a purple shirt, the guys compliment each other then quickly head out of the house before Naina comes home. Meanwhile Kripa and Naina arrive home holding around 10 bags each

 

N - wow I haven't done this much shopping in a long time

K - well in a house where everyone but you are guys then I don't see how you would get time to do this much shopping

N - yep, I always wanted a daughter....but God gave me 4 sons, but I love them all a lot and now He has given me 3 beautiful daughters

 

Naina kisses her forehead then calls out to everyone

 

N - looks like no ones home

K - yeah, aunty I forgot to tell you, I have to attend a friends birthday party and since no ones here would you come with me?

N - sure

 

Naina smiles, Kripa takes her upstairs and picks out a red sari with white embroidery

 

K - aunty you wear this

N - ok, and you wear this

 

Naina hands Kripa one of her saris from when she was younger, it's a silver sari with gold embroidery

 

K - thanks aunty

 

The two women get changed and do each others hair and make up, accessorise then leave, Kripa drives to the venue, they get out and Kripa takes Naina inside, first all the lights are turned off but as soon as Kripa and Naina step into the room the lights turn on and everyone yells surprise

 

N - oh my gosh!

A/S/Ka/L - happy birthday mom

N - you remembered?

A - of course we did, we just made it seem like we didn't so we could surprise you

Ka - you like your gift?

N - oh of course come here

 

Naina hugs her sons, they each take her blessings in turn, Kripa comes and hugs Naina

 

K - happy birthday aunty

N - let me guess...you were in on it

K - of course why else would I make you shop for so long?

 

Kashish and Anjali also come and hugs Naina and wish her a happy birthday

 

N - thank you girls, guys where's your dad?

 

The guys move out of the way and Dilip is standing there in a black suit with a red shirt holding a bunch of roses, he hands them to her and kisses her cheeks

 

D - happy birthday my love

N - oh Dilip....

 

Naina hugs him, the cake is cut and the party begins but Lakshya keeps looking at the door

 

A - dude, who you waiting for?

L - my friend I told you....he should be here

A - oh ok, I'll wait with you

 

Angad waits with Lakshya when Kripa comes over, Angad puts his arm around her waist, he is whispering sweet nothings into her ear when he catches sight of someone, he clenches his fist, Kripa sees the change in him and looks in the direction he was looking at and gets shocked, Lakshya however goes forward and hugs the guy

 

L - thanks for coming.....come I'll introduce you to my family.......this is one of my brothers Angad, bhaiya this is my friend....Prithvi

 

Prithvi puts out his hand for Angad to shake but Angad doesn't respond, Prithvi notices a shocked Kripa standing next to Angad. Angad sees him looking at Kripa, holds her hands and goes away.
