Part 13:
Kanya and Ranbir just stare at each other. Both have mixed feelings about what the doctor just said. Malika is soo happy.
M: Congrats beta. This is such good news. You have to take care of yourself now. You have a little life growing inside of you. Where is your husband?
Shanaya on the other hand is confused. She knows that things between Kanya and Ayan weren't okay so how the hell could Kanya be pregnant?
S: Congrats Kanya! This is umm really good news..i guess. Malika Chachi her husband is downstairs. I think we should go get him.
The doctor, Malika, and Shanaya leave. Ranbir is still shocked by the news and Kanya still hasn't said a word.
Ranbir turns around to leave
K: ranbir
He stops and turns around
K: Congrats to you
R: why?
K: because your going to be a father!
His eyes light up and he gets a few tears in his eyes. He walks over towards Kanya and gives her a tight hug.
R: kanya I cant tell you how happy I am today! I'm going to be a dad. Wow! Me, Ranbir Nanda, a dad!
K: I know ranbir. And im going to be a mom. This is our child. A token and sign of our love for each other.
All of a sudden Ranbir lets go and backs off.
R: sorry kanya. I shouldn't have. Listen its best if you just tell everyone that this is Ayan's child.
K: what the hell!?
R: Kanya that's the best thing we can do. I'll hate seeing him with my kid but I cant ruin you marriage for this.
Theres a knock on the door and Ranbir gets up off the bed and opens the door. Its Ayan.
He's drunk out of his mind and can barely walk towards the bed.
Ay: Hi Kanya
R: listen buddy I think you should go home now.
Ranbir calls a waiter and tells him to drive Ayan to his house.
He then realizes that Kanya is still there.
R: I'll get the driver to take you home
Malika walks in: No beta let her rest here for tonight. Anyways I don't think her husband would be any help to her tonight. Kanya if you need anything just ask Ranbir, the rest of us are still downstairs.
She kisses Kanya on the forehead and tells her to rest and leaves to go back down.
K: ranbir I want to tell you something today

K: I want to tell you the truth I have been hiding for many weeks from you
He sits down on the bed
R: its okay Kanya you don't have to explain yourself. I know what you did was a mistake and I'll forget everything that ever happened between us. You can keep this kid to yourself. Just send me pics once in a while. I think I'll move to Canada

He sits quietly by her side and listens to what she has to say. She tells him how she first met Ayan and fell in love with him and how her family disapproved of him so they ran away and got married. She also told him how her marriage went downhill from that point. Ayan lost his job, she got a high paying job, and how they just stopped talking
K: and then I met you. I was attracted to you right away. But I tried to distance myself from you. And that didn't work because I really loved you. A type of love that I never felt towards anyone else. I hope you understand that I still really love you and want to be with you
R: yeah I do. But why didn't you just tell your dad the truth and leave Ayan? I was with you the whole time and could have helped you

There was a knock on the door.
Ranbir got up and opened it. It was Shanaya
S: hi ranbir, what are you doing in here?
R: its my room
S: isn't kanya in here?

She got up and looked around the room. She couldn't believe she was in Ranbir's room! She went around and touched everything. It made her smile because everything was exactly like him
She found one of his long kurta tops and put that on so it was like a long nighty

She quietly tiptoed out of the room
The house was dead quiet and all the lights had been turned off. She walked by a few rooms but she heard voices inside that weren't Ranbirs.
The last room at the end of that hallway was a library study room. She walked in and started looking at the some books on the shelf. The room was really warm because of the fire place at the back.
But there was something infront of the fire place. Wait it wasn't something it was someone. It was Ranbir!
She slowly walked to the back and he was lying on a mattress infront of the fireplace, and staring up at the ceiling.
She stood there quietly for two minutes staring at him. He looked so cute just lying there. Like a little kid. But he seemed to be in a really deep thought
Kanya finally coughed a little to get his attention
He glanced up and then jumped up into sitting postion
R: kanya! What are you doing here…
She bent down and sat infront of him
R: at this time? What if someone saw you?
K: shh don't worry everyone is in there rooms and almost a sleep
R: oh okay
He then looked at what she was wearing and smiled
R: where did you find that
K: it was in your room so I put it on. I hope you don't mind
R: no not at all. You look really cute in it
Kanya just looked down and smiled.
Her smile melted his heart and he wanted her so badly right there
R: aren't you tired
K: yeah I am
R: lie down for a bit
She lay down and he did as well beside her
She closed her eyes for a bit to take in the moment. The warmth from the fire and from his presence that she missed for so many weeks.
She then felt his hand on her. It was on her stomach
She opened her eyes and he was just feeling her stomach
K: what are you doing
R: letting my baby know that im here
K: he knows. He can feel your presence through me. When im happy it will know that you're here and when im sad it will know that I'm missing you

K: because I have a feeling it's a boy

K: then I'll be super happy as well, but it feels like a boy

K laughed: that's why I wanted a boy. So he could be like you!
Kanya also put her hand on her stomach and locked it with his. They lay like that for another hour just talking about the baby and sharing stories from their childhood.
But then something came up about marriage and it went quiet for about 10 minutes
R: so umm you need to finish telling me the…
K: yeah I really do
So she told him how her Dad is doing business with Ayan and how Ayan is blackmailing her with her families love.
Ranbir was fuming with anger. But then seeing kanya scared he comforted her with a sweet hug
R: so what are you planning on doing now
K: I don't know but I cant live without you
R: do you want to leave ayan then?
Kanya thought for a bit: yes ranbir I do
R: okay then I am with you in every step. But I need you to promise me that you will be strong. We will talk to your parents and family. Explain everything to them and then we'll deal with Ayan.
K: will you really do that with me?
R: yes I will kanya. Because I love you and I can't live without you. The past few weeks without you have been hell! I need you, I want you, I love you so much
He slowly leans in and kisses her gently. She responds back and the kiss deepens.
They end up sleeping in each others arms for the night. Kanya finally feeling safe and Ranbir finally feeling complete.
The next morning is a beautiful one. The sun is out and its warm rays are shining through the library windows onto Ranbir and kanya. His hand is still on her stomach while the other arm is around her. She is resting her head on his chest and hugging him tightly, never wanting to let go.
Around 10 am someone is shown walking around the house looking for kanya. Where could she be? The person decides to check the library because that's the only room left
The person walks in and doesn't see anyone there and is about to leave. But then through the bookshelves sees something. They walk to the back and are shocked to see the sight present
Who is the person? What will they say? And will kanya and ranbir ever be together?
