Part 10:
Recap: Anand forgives kanya and points to someone. Its Ayan
Kanya mouth drops open (thinking): this can't be happening! I have to be dreaming this! I have to be dreaming this!!
She turns around to her Dad.
K: papa?
An: yes beta. Its because of Ayan I forgave you
Ayan comes and hugs Anand
Ay: Hi Papa! How was your flight here?
Then he looks at Kanya and gives her a smile
Ay: hi kanya
He then leans over and gives her a hug. She is standing there frozen. She can't move or think or talk
Anands phone rings and he then says he has to meet some old friends but he'll have dinner with these 2 later. And he leaves
Ay: come on kanya, whats wrong
He puts his arm around her waist and starts leading her towards the elevator
Ranbir is sitting there like what the hell is going on? Who is that guy and why isn't kanya coming here?!?
He gets up and runs over to them
R: kanya
Kanya freezes. She doesn't know what will happen next and her heart is beating like crazy
Ranbir comes over and looks at Ayan for a bit. Then he turns to Kanya
R: kanya I need to talk to you…umm regarding the final deal and meeting tomorrow
Kanya looks up at Ayan and he looks confused. She still doesn't say anything
Then Ranbir sticks his hand out to Ayan
R: Hi I'm Ranbir Nanda. I'm the new business partner of Kanya's office
Ayan shakes his hand
Ay: Hi I'm Ayan. I'm Kanya's hus…
Kanya cuts in: yeah sure Ranbir. I'll just come
Ayan is annoyed that she cut him off
Ay: as I was saying, I'm Kanya's husband
At that exact moment Ayan's phone rings and he turns around to attend the call
Ranbir is just frozen. The words "I'm kanya's husband" are echoing in his ears
Kanya can tell that shes hurt him
She gently places her hand on his arm and shakes him a little
K: Ranbir
He looks at her and gives her a cold icy stare. Then he turns around and walks away
Kanya is now in tears. She can't believe what happened. She quickly takes out her sunglasses and puts them on
Ayan turns around: come on babe, lets go to our room
Kanya takes him to her room and as soon as she gets there she starts yelling
K: Ayan what the hell are you doing here?? And why are you talking to my Dad
Ay: just chill babe
He come and puts his arms around her and tries to kiss her neck. She pushes him off
K: what are you doing?
Ay: you're my wife. I can do whatever I want to you
K: you lost the right to call me your wife. All those times you use to hit me and that time you beat me with your belt
Ay: just shut up okay
K: no. I hate you
Shes about to walk away but he grabs her back
Ay: listen, my firm is now doing business with your Dad's. If I lose this deal then I will go into losses and so will your Dad. That's why I started talking to your Dad.
K: so your just using him
Ay: what else did you think? Eww that I wanted to be with you? And don't you dare tell anyone anything! You should be happy that your Dad and family are talking to you again
K: Ayan I'm going to tell my Dad everything
Ay: okay go ahead and do that. And then they'll never speak to you again. Its best if you keep your mouth shut and just stay with me
Kanya thinks about hugging her Dad: theres no way I can lose him or my family again
Ay: and since we have to act married, we might as well get some pleasure out of it
He takes Kanya and backs her up on the wall and tries kissing her
She tries her hardest to get out of his grip but can't
Finally his phone rings and he lets go her
She runs out of the room in tears. She doesn't know where to go but then she sees the stairs at the end of the hall. She runs up the stairs to the roof of the hotel.
When she gets there she sees that someone else is standing there. Its Ranbir
She runs to him and hugs him from the back.
R: woah! Kaun hai?
He can feel that's it's a girl and pulls her infront him
R: tum?
He pushes Kanya away
K in between sobs: ranbir please listen to me
R: kanya its best if you just leave me alone
K: please ranbir its not what you think
R: oh really. Then what is it
K: actually….i'm just really sorry
R: kanya the only way I'll forgive you is if you can say that the guy Ayan is not your husband
He pulls her close
R: look into my eyes and say that whatever happened downstairs was some bloody joke! Say it!
Kanya is just looking into his eyes but can't say anything
Ranbir just pushes her away
K: I'm sorry just listen to me
R: theres nothing left to say
K: I thought you loved me
R: I thought you did too but theres someone else in your life
K: no its not what you think with him
R: if your were married, why the hell did you sleep with me?!?
She can see the anger in his eyes now. Shes never seen him like this and its scary
He pushes her arm away from his and starts to walk away
K: you promised you would never leave me
R: and you promised you loved me. Only me!
He left and went back downstairs. Kanya stayed on the roof and just cried for a few hours.
She could see her life falling apart now. Ranbir hated her and no matter what she said could not fix it. Ayan was blackmailing her with her family. And if she messed things up with Ayan, then her family would get mad at her again
She didn't know who she could talk to or trust.
It was dark now so she went back to her room. Ayan was just lying on the couch with the TV on. He was half asleep and she could tell he was drunk. There were beer bottles lying all around the couch
She just ran to her bed and went under the covers and cried herself to sleep
The next morning she got up early and got dressed before Ayan could even wake up.
This was the last day and the last conference that would be held. She knew Ranbir would be there and she prepared a little something to say to him. Maybe he would forgive her and help her.
She awaited patiently in her seat for him to come in the conference hall. But he never came!
She looked everywhere around the room but he wasn't there.
She saw Aditya and the rest of the people from their office but their was no sign of Ranbir.
The conference ended around noon and everyone began to leave for the airport.
But how could she leave without seeing Ranbir.
She went to his room but the cleaning ladies were in there cleaning already. They said he checked out this morning
Kanya then went to her room and Ayan was packing his bag
Ay: hurry up and get ready. Our flight is in 2 hours
Kanya just quietly went and packed her clothes. She saw that she still had Ranbirs coat from the night in the rain.
She quickly hid it in her suitcase so Ayan couldn't see it
They went down to the main lobby to check out and met her dad.
She was so happy to see her Dad, that she started to get teary. But the real reason was Ranbir
Shanaya came down and saw Ayan. She hated him for how he treated Kanya but couldn't say anything because he was still her husband
Kanya told her about why Ayan was there and how were Dad had forgiven her. But she didn't say anything about Ranbir
They all went to the airport and soon were on the way back to Bombay
She remembered her flight there with Ranbir and smiled. She hated him so much but secretly inside she had enjoyed his company.
It was a night flight so the plane lights were off. Ayan was next to her and was snoring. She felt like taking a magazine and whacking him.
There was no way she could sleep and the plane was dead silent. She decided to go to the bathroom
When she got there she saw another person just about to enter. It was Ranbir
She ran and stopped the door from closing
K: Ranbir
He looked up at her. She could see the pain in his eyes but the pain turned to anger
R: what do you want now
K: please just listen to me once, you don't know…
R: yes I do know. Your married and whatever happened between us…..
Kanya now just pushed herself in the bathroom and shut the door.
She started crying and hugged him tightly. He just stood there.
He wanted to put his arms around her and comfort her but then he remembered that shes already someone elses and its not right.
R: shh stop crying
She let go him and looked up at him
K: so do you forgive me
R: NO!
Then there was a sudden knock on the door
K whispers: OMG who could that be?
R: shh hide on the other side of the door. I'll open it
He opened the door and it was none other than Ayan!
