Chapter 15

There Arnav entered his room , and being tired simply lied down and soon slept. When he opened his eyes it was dark outside. He looked at the clock and saw it was already 9 pm . He yawned and slowly got up, and went to wash his face. He washed his face and while wiping the water , his eyes fell on the mirror , and the guy he saw there , was someone who he couldn't recognize. Was that really him , with those tired eyes surrounded with black circles . With unkempt beard , looking like a ... He searched for perfect words , and the word that came to his mind was.. Zombie.  He looked 10 years older than what he was and then deciding something , he started shaving and then washed his face thoroughly and went to take a shower.

He then after getting ready took the paper bag , his iphone and also his car keys and left for the hospital , leaving a shocked Hari Prakash , who has not seen his Arnav bhaiya in this avtar for almost more than a year.

Khushi was sitting on her bed and was waiting for the clock to strike 11. She was changed into a fresh pair of light blue shirt and pajama, with her hair beautifully tied into a plait. Akash was sleeping on the next bed as he have an important test next morning . She looked at the clock again and still 4 mins were left , it was as if the clock was intentionally going slow, taking test of her patience. And finally when the red lights showed 11:00 she saw him. Was that Dr. Arnav or somebody else , he was not looking like usual , he was... She just kept looking with her mouth popped open. When finally she realised that it was really Arnav , she understood the difference . He was looking 10 times more handsome , as if he was just dressed to kill her. He was wearing a white Tee , full sleeve but sleeves rolled up , along with a black denim . His hair they were not their usual self , gelled up , they were just plainly lying over his forehead , in a casual ruffled way . Before she could notice more things , he was there beside her bed with a bright smile on his face .

"Hi !!!"

Khushi too smiled and slowly replied

"Hii !"

He brought out a glass of water and a tablet and asked her to have it

"Arnav date par jaane se pehle bhi mujhe medicine khani padegi..."

Arnav sat down beside her on the bed abd said

"Khushi ... see mai tumhe heavy dose dawai nahi de sakta .. so yeh wala kha lo.. isse tumhare haathon mein atleast power aa jayega.. ok.."

And she nodded and like a good girl took her medicine and Arnav kept the glass back on the table and stood up and said

"Bahut bhuk lagi hogi na.."

"Nahi thik hai..."

"Actually iss time hospital thoda khali rehta hai.. so it will be easy for us..."

And she nodded and Arnav continued

"So... Miss Khushi Kumari Gupta.. are you ready for our date ???"

"Ya..." She replied with a big smile and he said

"So.. then what are we waiting for .. lets go..."

"Arnav.. tum zara wheelchair idhar le aaoge..."

"Khushi hum jaha ja rahe hai.. tum waha wheelchair se nahi ja sakti..."

"Ok then mai crutch le leti hoon.." when she was about to take the crutch , he hold her hand and stopped her . She looked at him a bit confused and he said

"Iski bhi koi zarurat nahi hai..." and saying this , he came forward and easily picked her up in his arms.

She looked at him in disbelief and said

"Arnav mujhe neeche utaro.. mein geer jayungi... mai bahut bhari hoon..."

"Shut up Khushi... tum nahi geerogi.. and most importantly..." he looked into her eyes and said

"Main tumhe geerne nahi dunga... now wrap your hands around my neck , so that we can go."

She was mesmerized by his eyes , and then his voice , and he said with such a power that she became sure that whatever happens he will not let her fall , and she slowly wrapped her hands around his neck and this way , went a bit more close to him. She could easily smell his cologne and even noticed that he was cleanly shaved , and she kept looking at his perfect face . She was right , he has a magic , which day by day was trapping her more . And then she felt him moving and looked that he was carrying her and was walking out of her cabin and she said

"Par Arnav tum doctor ho.. koi body builder nahi.. and believ me mai bahu bhari hoon..."

"Khushi tum maximum 55 kg ki hogi.. though ladkiyon ka weight nahi bolna chahiye still m guessing.. and you are saying yourself heavy."

"Galat mai 56 kg ki hu... Aur heavy nahi toh aur kya... ghar par toh 10 kg sakkar uthane mein hi meri halat kharap hojati thi... aur tum toh mujhe utha kar chal rahe ho..."

He chuckled hearing her and she continued

"Mai serious hoon... aur tumne mujhe itni aasani se kaise utha liya.."

Arnav smiled and thinking a perfect answer for her said

"Haan who actually.. ek certain time tak mai gym mein jata tha aur weight lifting karta tha.."

And she hearing his answer blurted out

"Tabhi sochu tumhari itni aachi body kaise hai..."

He hearing it looked at her and asked cocking one eyebrow asked

"What ??"

"Nahi mera matlab tum mujhe aise le ja rahe ho.. koi dekh lega toh.. kya hoga.."

He smiled at her attempt of covering her statement and he said

"Khushi problem tumhe nahi mujhe hona chahiye... mai yaha par doctor hoon..."

"Haan haan wohi..."

And he chuckled again . He looked down a her face and seeing her still frightened said

"Khushi trust me.. mai tumhe nahi girayunga... now enjoy this free ride." And finally Khushi smiled and then he suddenly stopped walking and she asked

"Kya hum pahunch gaye ???"

"No... mai bas yeh puch raha tha ki... stairs se jaogi.. or lift se.."

She looked at both the stairs and also at the lift and thinking something said

"Lift se..."

"Ok..."

Saying they waited for the lift , and fortunately , the lift came empty. He smiled at her and stepped inside the lift and pressed the Top button , i.e 10^th. Seeing this she asked

"Hum ja kaha rahe hai ???"

He narrowed his eyes and with an evil smile said

"Chad par ???"

"Chad par ???"

"Ya..."

Finally the lift stopped and the door opened and he stepped out and started walking towards the only door . Khushi meanwhile imagined herself in a welly lit terrace , with colorful fairy lights , lots of heart shaped balloons , and roses , music playing in the background , but when he pushed open the terrace door , all her imaginations sank.

There were no fairy lights , no balloons , no roses , no music. There was a small round table with two chairs on opposite side and for surgery lights kept in a circle , whose light fell on the table and focused it amidst the big terrace. He stepped into the terrace and she smiled at her foolish imagination, what all she was expecting happens only in movies , but this was real life and that's when she saw the full view. Their table was set in the middle of the terrace with four surgery lights giving focus on it , and above was the dark night sky with lots of stars shining and a full moon smiling at her . The table was covered with a neat white table cloth. There was a small vase in the middle containing a red rose . It was simple , but it was beautiful. The time she completed looking around her , she found that they have reached the table , and he slowly pulled the chair and made her sit down. She smiled and looking at the surrounding asked

"Thoda sa bhi pasand aaya.."

She making a disappointed sound and nodding her head in a No' and instantly smiling a cute smile said

"Bahuttt pasand aaya"

"Really ??" he asked raising an eyebrow and she nodded and Arnav said

"Phir toh mai jo gift laya hu... who tumhe aur bhi zyada pasand aayega.. close your eyes.."

She closed her eyes and he smiled and took out her gift from the paper bag and brought both her hands infront and kept it on them. She with her hands felt the thing and instantly opened her eyes and looked at it , and then at him , and again at the black silk long court gown and also at the white neck piece.

"Arnav.." she muttered still shocked and he smiled .

She couldn't say more as her eyes were filling up with tears , he kneeled down infront of her and wiping her tears said

"You liked it ??? yeh specially tumhare liye..."

Ashe moving her hand over it , with a big , bright smile , but with the tears still visible in her eyes asked

"Yeh.. yeh mere liye hai ???"

HE nodded and said

"Haan.. specially Miss Khushi Kumari Gupta LLB ke liye.. " and thats when she saw the name plate wih her name engraved on it . She slowly with her hands shaking , she picked it up and touched the engraved LLB over it and turning towards Arnav said

"Thank you... thank you sooo much.. mere life ka sabse .. aacha gift hai yeh... thank you.." and she almost cried while saying this... , he leaned a bit forward still kneeling beside her and wiping her tears again whisphered in her ear

"Your welcome... aab yeh mai pahnadu tumhe..." and she nodded her head.

He smiled and took t from her hands and slowly and carefully made her wear it and then walking back to his chair said

"I am sorry... yeh brand new nahi hai.. coz mai jaldi mein new ka arrangement nahi kar paya .. so Di ka hi ek new lekar aaya..."

She looked at him in disbelief and asked

"Yeh Anjali Jha ka hai ???"

And he nodded slowly and she smiled a contended smile and said

"Yeh toh aur bi bari baat hai mere liye... mere Idol ka gown..." and he smiled and slowly touched her hand over the table.

And both of them looked at eachother... and she started remembering ho he had entered that first day and from then slowly how her life got changed .

She remembered how he had entered into her cabin , taking away her breathe with him , how he had started talking with her , how he had told her things and had encouraged her , how they become friends , how awesome it felt when he said that they can be friends , how he became Arnav for her , how they came close to eachother , how they started enjoying eachother's company , how without even knowing she fell in Love with him. How she always used to imagine scenes for them , how cute and adorable he looked when he laughed. How that night he slowly moved forward , how they had kissed , how his lips felt on hers ,. How she had collapsed after it , how he had chuckled. How he was not willing to try Level 2 because it was risky , how this morning he had sent her those white orchids , and how easily he had carried her up few minutes back.

He looked at her and remembered how he slowly started getting attracted to her , how he loves talking with her , how she can always make him feel a lot relaxed , how she can make him laugh , even with her expressions , how cute she looks when she fakes anger , how beautiful she looks at time , how her cheeks become red when he teases or compliments her , how he had promised himself that he will not let anything happen to her , and how that night he had kissed her . How it felt , how much he had got attached to her in this short span , how everytime , he was away from her , something pulled him towards her.

Both of them smiled and then broke the eye contact and finally he removing his hand , took out the sealed food packets from  the bag and she looking a bit confused asked

"yeh ??"

"Haan... Khushi ... yeh.. future mein hum dono hi busy honge... so we will rarely get time to go out ..  will get time to sit and eat dinner peacefully , so this will be the way , we will have our meals and spend time with eachother."

She with an amused smile looked at him , not because of the way he has brought the food , but because of the way he cooly said about them , about their future . That was the time , when she fell in love with him 5 times more. He was really unique . Here she even didn't knew how long she will live , and he was making future plans , was thinking and telling her about THEIR FUTURE.

And she slowly stood up , and he seeing her getting up , got up too and came near her. He held her left hand in his right and took her right hand and put it on his shoulder and slowly slid his hand on her waist. He pulled her closer and both of them looking into eachother's eyes started dancing slowly in their ow tune . She after a few mins kept her head on his chest , still moving slowly with him . She kept her ear right over his heart and could hear his heart beat only for her. She inhaled his smell and tried to memorize it and that's when she heard

"Khushi ?? Khushi ? kahan kho gayi.. khan thanda ho raha hai..."

She blinked her eyed twice and then looked at him . He was sitting there infront of her and was looking at her with amusement and she realized that she was dreaming , dreaming that beautiful dance. She smiled and then nodded her head in a No' and he asked

"Kahan kho gayi thi ???"

"Kahin nahi..."

And she looked at the food tray infront of her , having some tasty dishes and he said

"Khao... tum kha paogi.. or should I help ??"

"Nahi... mai kha payungi..."

And they while talking and looking at eachother finished their dinner and he packed all the garbage inside a bag and said

"Oh ! mai bhul hi gaya tha..."

And saying this brought out a Dairy Milk Silk and said

"Meetha bhi toh banta hai..."

And Khushi smiled and said

"Par Arnav.. aaj pehli tareekh nahi hai.. ki mai.. gaungi..."

"Meetha hai khana aaj pehli tareekh hai...

      Karo na bahana.. aaj pehli tareekh hai..."

She sang the lines in tune and both of them started laughing loud , and Arnav gave her half and he too , had a piece . Then they sat there for few more minutes talking stupid things and laughing at their own jokes , and finally Arnav checking his watch said

"Bahut raat ho gaya hai... aab hume neeche jana chahiye."

And as soon as she nodded , he got up , walked to her side and picked her up and started walking towards the exit. This time she didn't resisted as she was sure that he will not let her fall.

Back in the cabin , he made her lie down , pulled the cover upto her neck and then said

"Good Night Khushi... sweet dreams..."

He turned to leave , when she hold his hand and said

"Arnav thank you so much... Mai yeh kabhi nahi bhulungi... you just made it so... So... special for me.. thank you.." and he smiled back and said

"Anytime... Anything..." and saying this he left.
