Chapter 11

Two days passed and in these two days lots of things took place in Khushi , Arnav , Akash and Payal's life.

Khushi somehow convinced her parents for this new treatment and they agreed for the Level 1 . She also forced them to talk with Dr. Arnav and sign the bond papers.

Arnav , he made all the arrangements required for the operation but without letting anybody know. Only Payal and two other nurses were informed about it.

Akash , he got a donor , but the amount asked was way too much for his middle class father to pay , so the donor refused and he was back to square One.

And for Payal , her mother was trying hard to get her married with her friend's son , so Payal was forcefully sent on a date with the guy , but the guy's desire made her run from there and say a "No".

Today it was an important day , since today was the operation. The operation was scheduled for 1 pm and it was already 12:30.

Payal along with two other nurses came into the room and shifted Khushi to a wheelchair and they wheeled her out of her cabin towards the OT with her parents following her. Payal was about to leave when Aakash called

"Dr. Payal..."

"Haan..." Payal walked towards him.

"Ek baat puchu ???"

"Yes.. but fast.. I have to go..."

"Ummm.. Khushi ko kya hua hai???"

Payal looked at him and said

"Slow Poisoning..."

"And whats that ??? Kisi ne uske body ke andar poison inject kar diya hai kya ??"

Payal nodded her head in a No and said

"No.. it's a type of disease ... in which the body parts get disabled slowly and then they one by one stop working , since its like getting poisoned slowly , so we call it slow poisoning "

"What ???" Now that was a shock for Akash

"Yes Akash , Khushi ke haath aur pair already kaam nahi kar rahe hai.. and uske pass aab zyada din nahi hai.. as slowly her organs are decreasing their work rate."

"Whats its treatment.. Mera matlab iska cure kya hai???"

"I am sorry but iska koi ilaaj nahi hai... atleast till nothing nothing  has been invented."

That's when a nurse came and said

"Dr. Payal.. Dr. Arnav is calling you, right now in OT."

She gave a sad smile to Akash and left for the OT.

Akash was in a stage beyond shock , all these days he thought that she might be having some minor disease which will be cured within a short span and then she will be released but today , it was a total shock for him. He never knew that she was fighting with death , and he thought that it was only him , but no... she is in a worse condition. He can still get back to normal life,  once he get a donor , but for there was no cure. He felt bad and moreover he felt guilty for behaving so badly all these days.

The operation was done and around 6 , Khushi was brought back to her cabin. She was still sleeping because of the injections . The change were to be understood only after her regaining her sense. So after 9 , seeing her still asleep her Amma and Bauji left for Laxmi Nagar.

Arnav sat in his cabin . His head was on the back of his chair , eyes closed. He was exhausted because of that tough 6 hour operation. He just hoped that everything should be ok. He heard his cabin door open and opened his eyes and saw a nurse

"Yes..."

"Dr. Arnav Room No. 333 ke patient no. 21 ko hosh aagaya hai.."

"Ok.." he nodded his head and the nurse left.

Khushi opened her eyes and looked at her surrounding and noticed that she was back I her cabin. She saw Dr. Arnav entering through the door ,looking handsome as always. He was wearing a white shirt and black pants and obv his favourite doctor's coat was there. He walked to her side and said

"Hmmm... toh Madam jag gayi ???"

She smiled hearing this words and his playful tone . She could easily figure out that he was tensed but then she found it quiet amazing how he tried to cheer her up and tried to hide it.

"Haan..." She said

"Ok Good... now tell me , can you feel your hands and legs."

"Oh!! Haan.. last kuch dino se toh mai bhul hi gayi thi.. ki I have hands and legs too..."

 And saying this she tried moving her hand and yes, she was able to move her fingers , her hands , he legs and she could feel them. She applying a bit pressure on her hands sat up aand with astonishment and admiration looked at him and said

"Thank you Arnav... thank u so much.. I cant believe that finally after so long I am able to..."

Arnav smiled and said

"I am so happy to see you like this.. now try to get down and stand on your feet."

She slowly got down from the bed and there she was standing all alone without anyone's help. Arnav's smile widened ad extending his hand , he took her right hand in his and said

"Wow.. Khushi.. I cant believe that its really happening.. thanks for allowing me to use it on you.. but now don't strain yourself anymore and sit down."

And saying this he made her sit down on the bed.

All this time Khushi , hmm.. Khushi was busy feeling his warm , experienced hands under hers. She so wanted to feel it and today , finally she got that opportunity.

Soon a nurse came and Arnav gave her certain instructions and then bidding Khushi bye , he left. She smiled seeing him leave and took her book out to read , but as she was about to start , she heard a voice

"Hi !!!"

Khushi looked here and there and then looked at Akash smiling at her and she giving him a confused look asked

"Kya tumne kuch kaha abhi ???"

Akash nodded his head and said

"See I am really sorry... maine jo bhi kiya.. uske liye..."

Khushi was really happy today and so hearing his apology , she instantly said

"No.. its totally ok.."

"Thankss.. M Akash."

She smiled and said

"Hi.. Akash.. I am Khushi.."

"Ya I know your name... so.. I don't want to talk about ki kya hua hai.. as kuch zarur hua hai.. hum dono ko that's why we are here... isliye tell me something abut you , so that we can become friends."

"You really wanna become friend with me.."

"Ya why not ???"

And from there started a new friendship and lots of talking and sharing.
