Prologue

She sat on the window sill holding an envelope in her hand and with a forlorn look on her face looking at the horizon. Too many thoughts playing in her mind. She was thinking about her life, the life she has thought of. The life so far was everything she could have asked for. But she doesn't know what turn her life would take now. She again looked at the envelope in her hand and thought if she is ready to open it and see what it has in store for her, she asked herself. She had been anticipating many envelopes just till yesterday but those were of the offer letters from various companies she would like to join and make her career bright. She has always been an ambitious girl and had wanted to excel in her professional life. She first wanted to make her career and become self-dependant and then had plans of getting married further in life. But life is the most unpredictable thing which has happened to human kind and she's no exception.

The irony is today where she was supposed to be going through job offer letters, she had a bunch of marriage proposals in her hand to choose. Her parents have handed over these envelops which had proposal photographs of her prospected suitor. Her parents were not some narrow minded people who just wanted to marry her off but they have given her an option to reject these proposals if she is unwilling to get married just now. She was just 22 after all. Her dad had told her that he just wanted to know her opinion since one of the proposal was really good for her. He would say no to all if she is unwilling.

She loved her parents a lot. They are angels in form of parents, always have taken care of her tiniest happiness. They never ever forced her into anything and she knew they wouldn't force her into marriage as well. But can she deny them without any genuine reason. She is on a T point of life, where she can't go back and has to choose one way i.e. career or marriage. She might have to change the priorities in her life or she could go ahead with what she had always wanted, it was a big question!

Marriage and education are the two institutions she has always believed in; but she never knew they would clash hard in her life. Which one would she choose, if both can't go hand-in-hand?

Only fate would decide that!
