               Part – 70

This time Geet is serious, she accepts Tara’s challenge and is ready to prove herself as the true mother of Mansi Khurana… she has to do this for Maan and Mansi…

Geet needs some space to clear her mind and get ready for the challenge… it’s a tough one and it’s impossible to achieve it staying with Maan.. she has to go away from him if at all she has to even think about what she needs to do in order to bring her family together…

Geet’s cousin Nandhini has been asking her to come to Amritsar for a long time, Geet decides to go there and give Maan a break… it’s better to stay apart for the time being than to stay together like this… she can’t see him in pain and act as if nothing has happened…

If she stays here she will end up fighting with him only..

Geet: Maan

Maan: hmm

Geet: mein Amritsar jaana chahti hoon

Maan: Amritsar?

Geet: Nandhini ki chutti hai, aur mein har saal iss time Amritsar jaathi hoon

Maan: teek hai Geet, tum chaho toh jaa sakti ho, mujhe koi problem nahi hai

Geet: mein kal ki train mein jaa rahi hoon

Maan: kal hi jaana hai kya?

Maan thinks that it’s better for her to leave him until he fixes the problem, yet he is not ready to let her go… no matter what they are going through, it’s always a pleasure to have her by his side, they may not be talking to each other but their mere presence itself is enough to keep them going strong…

Geet: hmm

Maan: teek hai, jaise teri marzi

Maan leaves for he would change his mind if he looks back and sees Geet…

Geet gets ready to go…

That night… both of them are lying on the two corners of the bed as usual…

Maan turns towards Geet…

Maan: Geet

Geet is surprised.. she turns back and looks at him…

Maan signals with his eyes and asks her to come near…

Geet moves closer and Maan pulls her into a hug..

Maan kisses her forehead…

Maan: you know I love you

Geet: hmm, I love you too Maan

Maan: Amritsar jaake mujhe bhool toh nahi jaaogi?

Geet: ye kaise sawaal hai Maan?

Maan: mujhe patha hai ki tum mujhse naraz ho

Geet: nahi Maan

Geet tries to stop him…

Maan: issiliye tum jaa rahi haina?

Geet: aaisa kuch nahi hai , mein jaanthi hoon ki aapko thoda waqt chahiye, issiliye mein jaana chahti hoon

Maan: tum kab wapas aaogi Geet?

Geet: 10 – 15 din mein wapas aajaaoongi

Maan: agar tum nahi aathi toh mein tumme lene aajaaoonga

Geet: teek hai, aap hi aao mujhe lene

Maan: hmm

Geet: aap chinta mat karo Maan, tab tak sab teek ho jayega

Maan: haan, tab tak mein sab teek kardhoonga Geet

Geet: tab tak aap apne khayal rakhna

Maan: hmm, tum sojao Geet, kal subha jaana haina

They fall asleep comforting each other…

Next day Geet leaves…

Maan finds it difficult to manage without Geet…

Maan seeks the advice of a legal practitioner to get Mansi’s custody…

He gets to know about the tedious process that would involve Mansi too…

Maan decides to look for other options too… he is not sure he could put his little daughter under all this pressure…

Maan is already missing Geet..

Geet does call him every day but that is a mere formal call..

They have a lot to share but are not in a position to share…

Specially for Maan, it’s getting difficult to hide the truth from Geet…

Its been a week since Geet left, Maan is counting the days and now that he is not going to Shimla too for he wants to be prepared before going to meet his daughter..

The lawyer has given a glimpse of hope that they can first seel permission to meet Mansi once in a week or so just like he used to do all these days, and then they can find a better solution later… they can go for off the court settlement too…

Maan would get the court orders in the next week and he can take Geet too with him to see their daughter once they get the legal notice.. then no one can stop them…

But it should be done before Mansi’s birthday.. Maan wouldn’t want to miss that…

Geet would also be back by then, maybe this time they can celebrate at KM as Maan was always planning, he thought he would have brought Mansi home by then, but everything doesn’t go as per our plans…

Maan gets a call from someone unknown…

Lady: Mr. Khurana?

Maan: yes, who’s this?

Lady: I want to talk to you about Mrs. Khurana

Maan: who is this? How do you know my wife?

Lady: she is at my nursing home, it would be better if you come here

Maan: what? What’s wrong with Geet? Is she ok?

Lady: I can’t say that she is fine, you have to come here before we could discuss further
