Chapter 9

The outburst of the angle.

 

The nxt day, team Etf again fight tooth and nail to catch that killer who killed a man in a hotel room, but fail to match the id.the team was too frustrated over its failure.the senior's patience was slowly going to loose, and anytime they are going to blast our cute and sweet technical head, MR. SHREEKANT SEN.

After a repeated failure to match the person from police database for the 9^th time, rathore yelled ''DAMMIT !!!!!'', enough to scare the 3 juniors.

''hum kalse iss case ke peeche lage huye hain, par koi suraag nhi mil raha hain. Humein kaatil ki shakal pata hain, par ab tak use dhoond nhi paye. Shree, I am giving u last chance.agar iss baar tumne police database se iss aadmi ko nhi dhoond paye, then main tumhari duty security guard ke roop mein maoist area mein laga doonga.and I mean it.''

Shree was helplessly eyeing his 2 other colleagues, his childhood bff, Ri, and adulthood bff , err, colleague chotu.they were also helpless.then our great ACP Arjun came up with another pov.

''Rathore, mujhe lagta hain iss aadmi ka police database mein milna namumkin hain.''

''kyu? Iss aadmi ko kabhi police custody mein nhi liya gaya issliye?'' asked a irritated Rathore.

''ya phir shayad iss aadmi ne fake mustache lagai ho. Shree, tum iss aadmi ki shkal ko photoshop mein change karke dekho, shayad humein tab kuchh pata chale.'' He said confidently.

Soon enough, shree find that man in database.

''sir, iss aadmi ka naam imran hain.yeh ek professional killer hain, Pathan lala ke gang ka. Yeh 3 baar jail ja chuka hain, 2 saal pehle hi chhoota hain.''

The name Pathan lala boiled the blood in Rathore's vein.he ordered chotu, '' tum apne informers se iss ka pata lagbao. Quick.''

In some 3 hours, they managed to know the location of the killer.they killed his fellow men and about to shoot him, when he get hold of Riya.

''ruk jaao, officer, warna tumhari iss officer ko nahi bacha paoge.''

Shree whispered, ''wrong move.''

Chotu could'nt help bt asked him in this critical situation '' kyu?''

''just wait and watch'' he said assuringly.

And to the team's utter disbelieve, Riya kicked him, grabbed his wrist, and twisted it,causing the gun to fell.she soon picked it up and pointed towards him ''hands up''

The team arrested him and chotu took him. Rathore praised her proudly '' gd job''. Even the akdoo supercop too looked amazed.

Back in the office, they had the never ending paperworks.the  Etf chief went to his cabin, the Supercop went downstairs to grab his cutting chai.chotu has'nt returned yet. So it was only shree and riya in the office.

''arre yaar, boring paperworks.kabhie khatam hi nahi hote.mera abhi yeh karne ka mood nahi hain.'' Shree said.

Riya chuckled at him and said '' to Rathore sir se keh doon , ki aaj humare technical head ka paperwork karne ka mood nahi hain? He will be so pleased.''

He glared at her and said ''humare khadoos seniors ka bohot kharab asar par raha hain tujh pe.''after some 5 mins, he again started, ''ri…..''

''haan shree,'' riya answered, nt looking at him.

''tujhko abhi tak phone nahi aya.''

''kiska phone?'' she was puzzled.

''arre, teri parampujya behna ka, jisko tu ne sar pe chara ke rakha hain.'' Shree said dramatically.

As soon she heard her name, her heart literally stopped.her eyes started to filled with tears.

''tu india aa gayi, office join kr li, aur usne tujhe ekbaar bhi disturb nhi kiya.woh kabse itni achhi ho gayi? Tera dimaag khana kab se chhor diya?'' he chuckled and said '' kitne din ho gaye us stupid ko dekhe huye.badmaas.humesha meri taang  khichti rehti thi.aur tu…tu meri friend ho kr bhi uss ko kabhi kuchh nahi kehti thi.partial kahin ki.''

He noticed her silence and shaked her ''oyye, tu kahan kho gayi? Bata na, usss stupid ke bare main.kaisi hain? Kya kr rahi hain abb? Aur india kab aayegi? I am sure who jald hi india aa jayegi. She was silently listening to his talks, tears was threatening to explode anytime.she could'nt control when shree shook her and asked about her. She got up from her seat and shouted at him

''shut up , shree, just shut up.stop saying about her, okay? Just stop.nahi aayegi who ab kabhi bhi.nahi dekh paoge kabhi use.nhi sun paoge usss  ki non-stop baatein.aur nahi satayegi tumhe who.u know why? Coz she is dead!!! She is dead goddamnit!!!!'' she yelled her lungs out, stared at him.she looked at him , who was dumbfounded, shocked and as well as hurt. She realized what she said and don't know what to do, she decided to run from here, but found his colleague and 2 seniors staring at her, like they are looking at a alien.she wiped her tears and sprinted towards washroom, leaving behind 3 shocked and 1 sobbing man.

She ran into washroom, and cried her heart out.she never cried so much when she saw her baby sister's dead-body infront of her.she never cried so much when she herself cremated her, with her father.the tears were not stopping, and more was coming.she stood there, forgetting the time and place.

After like an eternity, she wiped her tears, wash her face and looked herself at the mirror.she looked like a mess, eyes red, face has lost all glow.she wash her face many times, and composed herself, prepare to face the men outside.

On the other hand, Shree was so shocked at the outburst that it took him some mins to realize it.at first he could'nt understand why she was yelling at him.then he remembered the last words ''she is dead goddamnit!!!'' he could'nt believe it, and before he could think anything, he felt someone shook him

''shree, tu thk to hain na?''

He just nodded.no words came from his mouth. Rathore and Rawte  came forward and asked him ''yeh ho kya raha hain yaha par?''

''kuchh nahi sir.'' Riya's voice answered it .the 4 men turned at her and decided it best to not ask anything.she looked in immense pain.

Our Akdoo rawte's heart also skipped a bit after seeing her like that. Her state looks like

''like she has lost someone.''

As soon as he thought that, he mentally slapped himself and said to him '' it has happened with you, does'nt mean everyone has gone through it.may be they had fight.nothing serious.'' And dismissed any other thought.

The rest of the evening, the office was unusually quiet. Riya engrossed herself in work.seniors were also engrossed in their work.shree could'nt concentrate at all and looked at her frequently, while, chotu looked at the both thrice in a minute.

After some hour, Riya took leave and not so surprisingly, shree sprinted behind her.

Riya sighed, as she knew this time she had to face him.she turned and saw him.

''what was that RI? What the hell was that? What did u say? She …. De….no no...it cant be possible.'' He blabbered. Her eyes agai threatened to explode, when she tried to keep her voice calm ''its true, shree, she is no more.''

His knees jerked and he supported himself by leaning on the car.then after like an eternity, he asked in a broken voice, ''when?''

She was feeling extremely guilty now.like she has commited a murder. She said '' its been 5 yrs'.but shree…''

Shree looked at her accusingly, with pain and anger.his pain and tears replaced by anger and shouted at her'' what ?? 5 yrs?? 5 yrs ri? Aur tu ne mujhe bata na zaroori nahi samjha? '' he was so angry that riya was scared of him.she again tried to say, ''shree..i …''

''don't u dare ms. Riya Mukherjee.dont say anything.enough.'' and he started to back off.riya now approaching him, with pleading voice '' shree, pls, listen to me.''

''I wont listen to a damn thing. We are not friends anymore.you broke my trust.how could you hide such a big news from me? 5 yrs? Aur main jab bhi tumhe uss ke bare mein puchh taa tha, u lied to me? Who tumhari behen thi, par main khud bhi use apni behen ki tarah mana.tumhe ekbaar bhi yeh nahi laga, that u should'hv informed me? '' he stopped abruptly and said in a stern voice,'' u know what, I don't know this new girl infront of me.u r nt my friend, bff, who used to share it all with me.maine tumhe apni zindagi ka sabse bada raaz share kiya, aur tumne? '' he shook his head in disbelief.he looked at her for a last time, and went away.

She stood there, watching him went away. Shree find a confused chotu infront of him, who tried to ask him about this, but shree walked away, saying nothing.riya stood there, not able to move.

None of them realized that the sada alert supercop watched it all.
