Chapter 2

Meeting with Rakshash Rawte

 

After chatting and laughing for like an eternity, the trio were interrupted by Rathore.

''I was going to introduce you guys,bt it looks like u hv already mixed up pretty well.'' The trio grinned ,like some secret is going on between the three.when suddenly,chotu and shree's smile vanished and scare and tension took their place.

''what...''  she was about to ask it loudly when she looked  at the door.a person,wearing blue shirt and jeans,walked into the room.he stopped at looked her,and the girl looked at him too.

Rathore turned at him and started,not so willingly, '' rawte , she is our new officer, ms. Riya Mukherjee. And Riya, he is...

''ACP Arjun Rawte.''  She stated,surprising the trio . rathore asked her '' you guys know each other?''

''Inhe kaun nhi jantaa?'' She said,nt shifting her gaze from him.rathore shrugged his shoulder and said ''off to your work.now. '', and  went into his cabin.

Riya and Arjun continued their staring session while the rest of the two started their paperwork.she said to none particularly '' inhe kaun nhi jaanta? Kisike kapdo se uss insaan ko judge krne ki bohot hi buri adaat hai inki'' and went to occupy a chair,leaving behind a angry ACP Rawte.

 

They continued their paperwork for an hour or so.Riya completed her work and went to grab a coffee.after coming back,she looked at Rawte, who was sipping his cutting chai in a not-so-hygeinic glass.her face filled  with disgust and sat while gazing on that particular thing.he caught her staring at her and said ''what are you looking at?''

She was startled at first and then said '' err...nothing.''

He rolled his eyes and continued with his chai. She whispered to her newest frnd-cum-colleague ''chotu,ye ACP sir kya humesha hi itne unhygienic glasses mein chai pite  hain?''

Chotu answered her,nt looking at him'' haan.woh unki fav chees hain.cutting chai.''

''yaak,chee.itne dirty glass hain.how could he?'' she stole another glance at him.

''Ri,sb teri tarha to itne hygienic nhi hote na.waise tu bilkul nhi badlii.abhi bhi itni hygein freak?'' shree asked her.

Before she can say anything, Rathore entered, ''guys,we have new case.lets go''

''Yaay.finally paperwork se mukti.'' Chotu happily exclaimed,then found his boss staring at him.he muttered ''sorry'' and rushed towards the door.shree and riya chuckled and they follow too.

It was a murder of a girl from a upper-middle class family. from looking at the deadbody,one could state that she had commited suicide.but Acp Arjun conclude that it was nt a suicide but a murder.also the girl's family too stated that there was no reason that she would commit suicide.after interrogating them,the team came back to their office.

 

''Rathore,mujhe lagta hain ki humein uss ladki ki college mein jaa kr puchhtachh krni chahiye.shayad uski dost kuchh bata pay uske bare mein.'' Acp voice broke the silence.

''you are right Rawte.aksar dosto ko hi pata hota hain ek dusre ke bare mein..'' his voice suddenly stopped,his eyes stopped at him.then he continued ''kal tum aur Riya milkr college jaoge aur uske doston se baat karoge.''

''Sir'' shree started, ''shalini (victim) ki behen ne bataya ki uska koi bf bhi tha,jiske bare mein who ghar waalon ko bata ne waali thi.shayad uski bf ne yeh murder kiya ho.''

''pr kisliye who yeh murder karega?'' chotu questioned

''may be undono ka break-up ho gaya ho? may be he wasn't ready ?''

Humein uss ladke se bhi baat krni hogi''. Rathore said.

''sir'' Riya spoke for the first time,and stopped,asking permission to Rathore.He nodded and she started'' what if usne pehle se hi kisiko bata diya ho? Aur usne yeh murder kiya ho?''

''you mean koi jealous...''

''yaa phir uski ghar ka koi?''

Uski ghar waale aisa kyu karenge?''  Acp's irritated voice broke her concentration.she turned to him and stated  '' apni khandan ki izzat bachane ne k liye?''

You mean honour killing?  Rathore was surprised at the new pov.

Its ridiculous.woh ladki k bf k bare mein uski ghar waale nhi jaante...''again Rawte cut her.

Agar uski behen jaan sakti hain,to koi aur kyu nhi?may be usne kisi aur ko bataya ho? Aur statistics ke hisaab se ladkiyon murders k 75%cases mein main reason honour killing hi hota hain.''

Ab tak yaha par koi research specialist to nhi tha..aur hum cases bhi solve kr rahe the..to behtar hoga ki hum akdo pr na jaakr suspects pe focus kare'' Rawte 's voice was angry now.

Stop it both of you.'' Rathore silenced them,and said ''Riya,you clearly have a new angle in this case.hum in dono pov ko ignore nhi kr sakte.isliye hum evidence pr focus karenge.evidence hi humein katil tak pahucha sakta hain.'' He looked continuously at them two,while they were shooting daggers at each other.

''okay team.thats all for now.kal milte hain.'' Saying this,Rathore left.

Riya quickly grabbed her things and started to walk when he heard running someone.

''Ri...wait.'' Shree and chotu ran to her.

''wah Ri.tune to ate hi dhamake ki barsaat kr di.Arjun sir se panga?'' chotu asked her,with awe and scared.

 In mere hours, chotu has started to call her ''Ri'' and "tum''  was replaced by ''tu''.

''Ri,tujhe nhi pata.. Arjun sir se panga? Bohot mehenga padega.'' Shree stated,clearly scared for his frnd.

''whatever guys,leave it.gd night.see you tomorrow.'' Riya said and sit in her car,and drive away.

''Rakshash Rawte'' she muttered angrily and someone chuckled in her mind.she gave her an angry glare and focused on driving.
