“W”

Hope you all like this please like and comment. This was a moment requested a while back with Sneha center stage. Thanks for all the lovely comments and likes on the last moment.

“W”

“A B C D..” heard Sneha from within her  mothers lap. Prerna was trying to get little Sneha to perfect the letters of the alphabet with the help of a picture book. 

C G F P said Sneha disinterested. All she wanted to do really was search for lady birds and butterflies outside where George was gardening.

“A ..B… C…D” said  Prerna again this time  taking pauses between each letter. 

C …G…F…P repeated Sneha and Prerna raised a eyebrow. Strange she thought whilst Rishabh who was sat in his chair at a distance reading through office files could hear the going ons.

“A for a Apple”

“b for ball”

“C for cat”

“D for dog”

Said Prerna this time pointing at the images in the book. Sneha wasn’t keen and so  Prerna too turned the page.

“12345” said Prerna looking down at Sneha in her lap.

“54321” said Sneha cutely with Boredom and mischief!. Whilst Prerna may have been  oblivious to Snehas mischief Rishabh however could see through his daughter.

“Sheha come here please” asked Rishabh in a stern tone.

Little  Sneha slid off her mothers lap and trundled off in the direction of her fathers chair which sat on  the other side of the lounge. Their home was  big and seemed even bigger to the toddler.

Sneha stood in front of her da’s chair and watched him peer over his glasses. He put his file down and looked at his little girl in a way which challenged her naughtiness. She’d been caught out.

Iloveu x y zeEd.”

She said with her hands behind her back whilst her Da supervised her. Then the numbers “1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 12” Prerna on the other hand who listened in was surprised at how adorably mischievous Sneha was becoming.

“I want to catch futterflies with George”

Said Sneha to her father as her explanation for why she didn’t want to do any learning today. Snehas adorableness naturally pulled on Rishabhs heart strings too but he was a experienced father and could hold a stern gaze, or a straight face as and when needed.

Apologise to your mom, show her you know your alphabet.” He said looking over Sneha.

Shena did as her da asked of her. She walked back to to her mother and stood holding the straps of her dungarees making a cute face. “Sorry mom”

Iloveu x y zeEd.” She reeled off. 

Both Prerna and Rishabhs eyes smiled at how Snehas W’s sounded a lot like I love you’s. It was the sweetest thing one could imagine.

“W” said prerna cupping Snehas little cheek and Sneha repeated.

“Iloveu” .

“Double ..you” said Prerna this time breaking down the letter.

“I….lovu” said Sneha yet again. She couldn’t help it. Prerna laughed and Rishabh smiled at his paperwork as he heard the conversation.

It was just too adorable and somewhere In her heart Prerna didn’t want her little girl to ever stop saying I love you. 

“Iloveu too” she concluded. 

“Now off you go & be careful”  she said watching Sneha rush off to the garden not wanting her to get hurt. 

“Woh aap ki beti zyada aur meri kaam”

complained Prerna In a lazy tone walking towards Rishabhs chair.

“Uhm” replied Rishabh with his eyes still on his documents but hearing enough to pick up on his wife’s tone. 

“Kher chalo koi toh hai joh hame pyar karta hai.” (At least there’s one person who loves me) Added Prerna.

“Do I hear complaining Mrs Bajaj” replied Rishabh unexpectedly as Prerna passed by his chair

“Bilkul” replied Mrs Bajaj not expecting Rishabh to follow with. 

“Shall we take this into the bedroom?”

She heard him say with shrewd eyes, catching her by by surprise & leaving her somewhat speechless. 

Meanwhile Sneha shouted from within the garden

“I caught a flutterly da.”…
