CHAPTER 10:

Next day: ETF office:

Raj came in and saw Arjun with a file. He wanted to talk to him, but was feeling a bit awkward. He waited for a while and then cleared his throat. All looked at him, including Arjun.

"Arjun, I need to talk to you.."

"ha.. bolo Raj.. kya baath hai?"

"Ridhi ko bohot bura laga ke mein tumse baath nahi kar rahe hai.. use lagtha hai ke mujhe tumse sorry kahna chahiye.."

"aur tumhe kya lagthe hai?" he smiled at him.

"don't smile at me stupid.. I still don't get it why I should say sorry.. agar tum hame chodke jaa sakthe ho, tho mein kyu nahi?"

"I know ke tum ab bhi mujse naaraz ho.. par mere bhi kuch majboori the.. you have no idea how much I missed you all.."

"aise kya majboori the tumhe.. ke tum Ridhi ko bhi chod gaye? You promised that you would be always there to protect her.. then why?"

"usi wajah se mein chale gaye the' I just wanted to keep her safe.. she was not safe with me.. after all she is my sister.. aur mere wajah usse kuch ho.. ye mein kabhi bardash nahi ka saktha tha'" he screamed out.

"kya keh rahe ho tum..? mere samaj mein kuch nahi aarahe hai.." Raj was confused.

"tumhe yaad hai us din' jab.. jab mein meri Roshni ko kho di thi.." his voice cracked. Riya was feeling a great pain.. she had never seen him so weak.. the whole team was just looking at him.

"us din.. kuch aur bhi hua tha.. jo tum nahi janthe ho'" the day flashed in front of his eyes.

Roshni lay ahead of him. She was badly hurt. But she was more concerned to see Arjun. Her love.. he lay a bit far away from her. He was shot twice at ribs. The name that was tattooed on his arm was torn.. he was helpless. She looked with all the love she had.. "I love you Arjun'" she said weakly. He could see the life leaving away from her eyes.. he was dead inside too' he couldn't feel or hear anything.. even he couldn't cry..

Someone stamped on his wound over his arms' sikander was enjoying the pain.. "wow' Rawte'tum ithne kamzor ho.. ye tho mujhe patha hi nahi tha.. bohot sare ladkiyon ko tum mujhse cheena hai na? ab mere baari .. cheen liya maine.. wo bhi jise tum apna aapse zyada pyaar karthe ho.."  he laughed out loudly. "yahi tumhari saza hai.. tumhare zindagi mein kabhi koi aurath nahi hoga.. na biwi.. na maa.. or na behen.. agar kabhi bhi mujhe patha chale ke aisa koi hai.. tho mein use bhi'" he laughed and Arjun drifted to unconsciousness looking at his Roshni'

"mein Roshni ko bacha nahi paya.. par Ridhi ko nahi kho saktha tha' akhir behen hai wo mera.."

He stood lifeless. Raj was feeling so bad. All these years he wanted his friend to be with him. But he always ran away from him. Raj didn't know why. 

He moved closer to Arjun. "tum ye sab mujhe pahle kyu nahi bathaya? Aise bhaag jane ka kya zaroorath the.? "

"agar tumhe patha hota tho kya tum mujhe jaane dethe? Isiliye meine tum dono se uss din aise baath kiya. I needed you to hate me."

"par Arjun.. I could never hate you'"

"patha hai Raj'but I didn't have any other choice. Jab commissioner sir ne kaha ke Sikander ka case ETF ko milne wala hai.. tho mein aagaya.. aur Samer bhi yaha tha.. par tumse nazar milane ka bhi himmath nahi tha mujhme.. tum hi the jo pahle baar mujhse dosti ka haath bataya tha.. aur mein hi usse thukra diya.. I'm sorry.. mein bas Ridhi ko safe rakhna chahtha tha.. aur kuch nahi.."

"its ok Arjun.. I'm also sorry.. par ab kabhi aise kuch math karna.. Ridhi ko hum milke safe rakhenge.. ok?" they smiled and hugged. It was a great feeling for both of them. After all they were best friends.

"tho tum log mujhe bhool gaye, right?" Sameer acted to be upset. They smiled and hugged each other. 

The trio who were silent till now started to clap.  Riya was weeping. All looked at her.

"ab tum kyu ro rahi ho? Yaha pe koi serial chal rahe hai kya?" Arjun was amused.

"nahi sir.. I just love reunions'" all laughed at her.

"ek aur baath Raj, Ridhi ko ye sab baathein kabhi patha nahi chalna chahiye.. she will be tensed." Arjun was concerned. "ok.. usse nahi patha chalega.."

Rathod's phone rang. After a while.. "team we have a case.."

"yes boss'" Arjun and Raj said together. Sameer rolled his eyes and all followed him.
