Chapter 3

Part 3 

Raavi was going through her cupboard to find her old night suits. After coming to Pandya Nivas she had started wearing kurtis to sleep. Back home, she used to wear her pyjamas but today she was looking for her shorts. Before, she wasn’t as comfortable around Shiva because of the circumstances of their marriage but these days everything seems different and she wanted to go with the flow. 

She found her favourite pair of tiny night suit and put it on the side table. She went out to help Dhara and her day passed like that.

Shiva had been restless. Raavi was making him go mad. He could not just stop thinking about her. How the hell did she just come in the washroom and give him a bath. That girl had some another level of confidence which put Shiva Pandya at spot. He waited patiently for the clock to click 7 and he can run away home to see what’s happening around his chipkali. Something definitely seemed off.

Rishta entered the kitchen to help while Raavi was almost done with everything. Rishita felt sad since she wanted to help but she wasn’t good at kitchen work. 

“Tu meri kuch aur madad karde.” Raavi grinned

Raavi dragged Rishita into her room and sat on the bed.

“Kya hua Raavi?” Rishita asked worried

“Aaj kal na muje bhoothnath I mean Shiva ko dekh ke bada ajeeb sa lagta hai. I mean pata nai kabhi aisa laga nai. Samaj nai aa rha kya ho rha hai….”

“Aur..?” Rishita smiled

“Vo… jab mere kareeb aata hai muje bahut acha lagta hai… usse touch karne ka mann karta hai, uske paas rehne ka mann karta hai…. Rishta I think mai Shiva se physically attracted hoon.” She spoke finally

“Hmm…. Ho sakta hai. Sabki physical needs toh hoti hi hai. Par muje tera case alag lag rha hai.” 

“Kya?”

“Tum usse attracted to ho hi aur shayad feel bhi karne lagi ho.”

“Kya mai aur Shiva ke liye feelings?” She almost shouted

“Dekho tum Shiva ke alava kisi ladke ke baare mein aisa soch paa rai ho?”

“Kaisi baatein kar rai ho? Pati hai vo mera. Hamesha wahi hoga.” 

“There you are. Tum Shiva ke alava kisi ke saath ye comfort mehsoos hi nai kar sakti. Kyunki tum uske liye feel karti ho not because vo tumhara pati hai.” She laughed 

“Sach?”

“Raavi, aage baadhna hi hai toh pure dil se aage badho na. Khud confused ho usko bhi karogi aur jis nazuk dor pe tumhara rishta hai, zyada confusion acha nai hai.” She kept her hand on Raavi’s trying to calm her

“Mai iss bare mein sochungi. Thank you Rishita.” She hugged her and Rishita hugged her back smiling

“I’m so happy for you both. Just because Dev faisla nai le paya, tum dono fas gaye. Maine kaha nai kabhi but I’m really sorry. Even if aaj tum dono khush ho par tum dono ki starting alag ho sakti thi.”

“Jaane do na ab Rishita. Ab sab theek hai.” She smiled

Shiva was back and he entered his room to find Raavi and Rishita happily talking. 

“Aa gaya tumhara bhoothnath, ab mai khane ki tyaari kar leti hoon. Pura khana toh tumne hi bana liya hai.” She laughed

“All the best” Rishita whispered in Shiva’s ears 

He wondered what was wrong with everyone. First Raavi and now Rishita bhabhi. Surely everyone has lost it. 

Raavi kept on looking while he came in and freshened up. She was trying to understand Rishita’s words. She was correct she cannot imagine getting close to anyone but him. Maybe just maybe she was falling in love with him. Was Dhara di talking about these khushiyan? 

Shiva noticed her staring at him. He was awkward. Why would she stare at him like that. 

“Aye chipkali, ghur kya rai hai khayegi kya?”

“Shayad.” She giggled and rushed out of the room 

Rishita was correct. She was surely feeling something for him. His every action, reaction, ignorance and proximity which did not matter before now mattered a lot. His every move, emotion and habit affected her. She was too involved in him.

Shiva was sitting on the dinner table waiting, Raavi came and sat beside and served him all the food he liked from the table. He was shocked as to how much she knew him and now she even knew how much he ate. He was trying to distance from her and she is making him go all hearts for her by every second move. How can one even stay away from this angel he wondered. He was a idiot to not see the beautiful person she is.

Shiva was discussing something about the store with Gombi while Raavi helped Dhara and Rishita. She quickly slipped to the bedroom after the chores. 

Shiva entered a bit late finding her asleep again. He wondered from when did she start sleep this early? He moved in to see her in a tank top and shorts. What the heck? When did she start wearing these now? There was something he was missing. There is something going on in this chipkali’s mind. 

He slept facing her continuously staring at her trying to figure out if she was pretending. He did have his doubts on her now. This was too much hints.

Raavi felt a dip on the other side of the bed. She could feel his eyes on her.  She was awake, waiting to attack him like yesterday. He would definitely lose control today and maybe it would be her lucky night she giggled internally. She didn’t feel him moving and hence she decide to take a bold step. She slowly shifted towards him again and stuck to him, pulling his arm under her and rested her head in the crook of his neck. She put her hand and legs over him totally wrapping him up.

Shiva was frozen. He did not know how to react. She hadn’t open her eyes at all. He could not make out if she was pretending or not and right now it didn’t matter because he was surely going through torture. Someday just someday he’s going to take his revenge from her. How dare she make him lose his sanity continuously. 

Raavi pushed herself more into him, her lips touching his neck. He closed his eyes unable to bear the heat and his hand automatically made its way to her back. He hugged her tightly pulling her closer if possible in order hold himself. He was lost, her actions were not much, they were innocent but he was madly in love with her and this was too much. He tried to push her away as he got back to his senses but she stuck to him like her name- chipkali.

He pressed his lips to her hair. He cannot lose control specially when she is not awake. He decided he shall check things with her tomorrow something was not in place. His heart already wasn’t but there was something cooking from her side and now he was sure.
